- The Secret in My Life By: Nancy Intermill
If you haven’t heard of The Secret you’ve probably been living under a rock. The DVD and the book have created a buzz that hasn’t stopped since they came out late last year. Since that time the featured seers, philosophers and thinkers have appeared in numerous venues including the Oprah! show and many others. The Secret presents a concept that has been taught and coached for many, many years, under names such as the Law of Attraction, the power of Visualization, and the act of Manifesting. - Feel the Feeling - Exploring the Magnetic Heart By: Lynn MacMartin
The law of attraction has been described as thought, belief and acceptance of an idea or life situation we wish to manifest in our lives. Recently I read in Gregg Braden’s book 'The Divine Matrix', that "WE ARE" the missing factor – specifically,” it’s our ability to purposefully create the condition of consciousness (thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs) that lock one possibility of our choosing into the reality of our lives.” Tags: Law of Attraction, Emotions, Feelings, Financial Freedom

Most of us have been on a plane and heard the flight attendant say numerous times “If the cabin should lose pressure, an oxygen mask will fall from the compartment above. Place your mask on first before helping those around you who need assistance.” Those words of wisdom can translate into many aspects of daily life and especially in business pursuits. - It is a Miracle! By: Alexandra Taylor, MD.
As an OB/GYN doctor who practiced for 18 years and delivered nearly 2000 babies, I can tell you that the birth of a baby is truly a miracle. Having started as a microscopic speck of protoplasm from two different people, nine months later a miniature human being with all of its parts is pushed into the world comprised of genetic material from both parents. From the moment of conception, after developing in the aquatic environment of the uterus, and then forced out into this noisy, glaringly bright, shivery cold world, this baby will quickly grow to express itself and will have attitudes and opinions. What attitudes and opinions? Are they inherited like blue eyes or curly hair? Tags: family, emphasize, feelings, validation

- Time...What is Its Value to You By: Janet Croteau
It does not have to be anything major, we don't have to step into their shoes entirely. For instance, whenever my Grandma cooked a meal and had the family for dinner (she was a GREAT cook, by the way) she would always work tirelessly to prepare a meal for everyone to enjoy. There was always a favorite for each person. Mine was no-bake chocolate macaroons. A day or so in advance she would whip up a batch and store them in the fridge in Tupperware containers until my Dad and I would devour them together. I always had to share them with my Daddy, but I didn't mind, it was a special time for both of us, as we raced to see who could eat the most. Coincidentally, he always let me win. When everyone was finished eating, we all got up to help clear the table and as soon as the table was cleared she would make us all sit back down. This was a time for family to come together and share what was going on in each others' lives. A time to "be" a family, and to “enjoy” each others' company, to talk and laugh. She didn’t get to see us as often as she would have liked and she made sure there was time to "visit'. What would MY family be like if I carried on that tradition and ensured that we all spent "family" time together instead of jumping up to get the dishes done and the kitchen cleaned? It seems everyone went their own directions after dinner, usually in a hurry. Time was always short, maybe because I didn’t make the most of it? Tags: Time, Values, Lifestyles
- A Thousand Splendid Women By: Phyllis Nasiopulos
For the past year, I’ve only read things that speak to personal development and entrepreneurship. Names like Michael Clouse, John C. Maxwell, and Robert Kiyosaki line my bookshelf. However, people like Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and Ellie Drake soon replaced them. While this reading list may not seem unusual to many, it is quite a change for me. For the past several years, I’ve been a teacher of English and reading. My purpose was to instill the love of reading in students who in the best of times were open and most of the times were indifferent. My goal was to open a world to them that they were unaware existed, to allow them to meet people unlike the ones that live in their world. Tags: Opportunities, Purpose, Intention
