Did You Fall For The Oil Company Television Commercials Touting Alternative Energy Solutions? By: GARKO Personally I don’t watch TV. I catch anything important like bits from the Daily Show and other things on the internet! But a few nights back a buddy gave me a call. They said that they were watching some television show on Saturday night (good lord get a life!!) and they were startled to have a commercial come on (gawd they watch commercials! Not even using Tivo! ) about renewable energy. They told me that they were not believing it at first as they sat there on the couch gazing at what they conceived was most likely the next big campaign for conserving energy, and not an apparently educational 30-second bit. Then they shared with me that the biggest shocker of all, they said, was the ending comment and that the sponsor of the commercial turned out to be… Chevron. Yes, one of the main culprits in fossil fuels is proclaiming the benefits of alternative energy! My friend got so excited about this. The “Silver Lining” Of Higher Gas Prices By: GARKO There is one great benefit of the high price of oil that environmentalists should be celebrating: it is making alternative energy much more attractive, so much so that the rising price may usher in a tidal wave of alternative fuel source projects that will, consequently, lead to greater scale economies and perhaps the movement of alternative fuel sources into the mainstream. This would be a great outcome. Tags: hydrogen engine, gas prices, cheap gas prices, price of gas, alternative fuel solutions, save m
The Air Car Cometh By: GARKO Here is what makes the people at Water4Gas, we are so cool, myself included We are not contentious with our competitors in the mold of Coke Vs Pepsi, Burger King Vs McDonalds. We have a mission to help change the way things are, freeing people from the chains that bind them to foreign oil and the oil industry, helping the environment and assisting people. A Cleaner Environment With Alternative Fuel Automobiles By: GARKO Considering the truth that most of the fuel sources presently in use in the world are limited and that the useage of fuel is incredibly high, it is that much more urgent for researchers to start designing more and more automobiles which operate on 'alternative fuel'. Fuel prices are growing like never before. If this pattern continues, a day will emerge when we would be looking at the bottom of an empty cookie jar. Think Ethanol Is A Safe Alternative Fuel? Think Again By: GARKO Whether or not you believe in global warming everyone agrees that the environment should be protected. And this article tells you where the solutions are… and aren’t! . Biofuels have achieved a great deal of popularity but that is mainly because the politicians have been pushing it hard along with the media. . The most prevalent variety of biofuel is Ethanol made from corn and combined with gasoline into something called E85, which means it's 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol. However, the gasoline and ethanol is variable based upon the outside temperature so its more or less gas in the mixture depending on the time of year in most areas of the United States. During cold weather, more gasoline needs to be added to the mixture to ensure the fuel works properly, so E85 is at least 70% ethanol. Fastest Way To Do The Most Damage To The Environment Is With Alternative Fuel Solutions By: GARKO While the hysteria continues to mount about global warming all sorts of “solutions” are being advanced and some are more harmful than others and some are even more harmful than fossil fuels!. For those that don't know, biofuels are alternative energy sources derived from living matter, as opposed to fossil fuels, such as oil, which are derived from nonliving matter. The most common biofuel is a blend of gasoline called E85, and this is a mixture in a ratio of 15:85 gasoline:ethanol. What’s Worse Than Fossil Fuel? Ethanol! By: GARKO While the hysteria continues to mount about global warming all sorts of “solutions” are being advanced and some are more harmful than others and some are even more harmful than fossil fuels!. Biofuel, as you probably know or can guess from the name, is any energy source derived from living organisms of any kind. The most common biofuel is a blend of gasoline called E85, which means it's 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol. But the actual ratio is subject to change due to the outside temperatrue and it might be better named E70-85. During cold weather, more gasoline needs to be added to the mixture to ensure the fuel works properly, so E85 is at least 70% ethanol. Want To Replace Fossil Fuel With Ethanol? When Did You Start Hating The Environment? By: GARKO As the myth around global warming begins to unravel and Operation Desperation sets in, it's important for the public to know why biofuels aren't the answer to solving global warming.
