What You Need To Know About Alternative Fuel Sources By: Glen B. Porter Using alternative fuel sources is not just a matter of environmental responsibility. It is not just about calming down the little voices screaming in your head. It makes good sense and a solid investment for the future. A Cleaner Environment With Alternative Fuel Automobiles By: GARKO Considering the truth that most of the fuel sources presently in use in the world are limited and that the useage of fuel is incredibly high, it is that much more urgent for researchers to start designing more and more automobiles which operate on 'alternative fuel'. Fuel prices are growing like never before. If this pattern continues, a day will emerge when we would be looking at the bottom of an empty cookie jar. Fastest Way To Do The Most Damage To The Environment Is With Alternative Fuel Solutions By: GARKO While the hysteria continues to mount about global warming all sorts of “solutions” are being advanced and some are more harmful than others and some are even more harmful than fossil fuels!. For those that don't know, biofuels are alternative energy sources derived from living matter, as opposed to fossil fuels, such as oil, which are derived from nonliving matter. The most common biofuel is a blend of gasoline called E85, and this is a mixture in a ratio of 15:85 gasoline:ethanol. However, the gasoline and ethanol is variable based upon the outside temperature so its more or less gas in the mixture depending on the time of year in most areas of the United States. During cold weather, more gasoline needs to be added to the mixture to ensure the fuel works properly, so E85 is at least 70% ethanol. Hydrogen Fuel Cells And The Effects On The Environment By: Mirko von Anken There is no doubt that the development of hydrogen fuel cells as an alternative fuel is good for the environment, but how does that work?
