History
Yoga-Kundalini Upanishad is one of the earliest known scriptures of Hinduism originated from India. Adding to it, it has been found that In 1935 Sri Swami Sivananda penned a detailed depiction of some of the well known yoga practices as Kundalini yoga. Three different streams reflect the teachings of yoga including the Nath tradition, the Sant tradition and the Bhakti tradition.

The old quarters of Pondicherry are with wide boulevards and Mediterranean style villas with huge compounds and high walls and is called Ville Blanche or 'White town' and the Indian quarter is known as Ville Noire or 'Black Town'. Many streets in Pondicherry have retained their French names.

The unique location is believed to have caused the Portuguese, the Dutch, the Danes, the English and the French to capture it and make it their colony. The name Yoga has a very broad scope. There are several schools or systems of Yoga. Dnyanayoga (Yoga through knowledge), Bhaktiyoga (Yoga through devotion), Karmayoga (Yoga through action), Rajayoga (Royal or supreme Yoga) and Hathayoga (Yoga by balancing opposite principles of body)

Yoga has been looked upon as a successful way of self-improvement and spiritual enlightenment. All these systems in actual fact have this same purpose; only the ways of achieving it are little different for each of them. If there is any indication that the hook in the ceiling may come out then you need to find a safer spot to bolt your hook.
