Know About Wiccan, A Peaceful Religion Posted By: cdmohatta

"We should educate people that 'Witch' is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a 'Witch' was the most magical moment of my life."- Margot Adler, a Wicca follower. The general tendency of people is to believe that Wicca followers are these malicious and dangerous witches who go about making voodoo dolls of everybody they hate. Well surprisingly, there is hardly any truth attached to this belief. Wicca is a very harmonious and caring religion that promotes unity of everything that exists. Wiccanism, in fact, does not promote harmful witchcraft and black magic. It is the people who, in the name of religion, conduct such practices. Wicca is a very interesting religion to learn about.

The followers of this Neo-pagan religion are referred to as Wiccans. However, terms like Witches and Wizards are also used for them. These Wiccans follow a Goddess and a God known as the Triple Goddess and Horned God. They venerate these Gods with all their hearts and souls. The very popular belief among Wiccans is that of afterlife.wiccan religion society family culture world

Affirmations For Wealth And Prosperity Posted By: Cindy Sampson

As Wayne Dyer says, echoing a wisdom found in many spiritual traditions, "What we think about expands." It is this simple principle that forms the underpinning for the concept of affirmation, in which we create positive statements for ourselves with the purpose of generating precisely that reality in our everyday lives.

There is ample precedent, whatever the statements may be called. Kabbalah and Wicca use them liberally, and even Buddhism can be said to utilize chant in much the same fashion. And though the terminology or the form may shift slightly in light of variant cultures, affirmation can and does create that space in us through which the universe manifests a new paradigm.

Creative Visualization is the current, Western model, which rests on a more science-based process. Within this structure, change is seen as a process of harnessing the power of imagination in various ways. Affirmations are thus tools with which to open the mind to positive feelings, and thus positive event outcomes.

Specifically, then, wealth affirmations are statements constructed and used to open the mind to the concept of abundance.Wealth and Prosperity

Jumping The Broom - Adding Fun To Your Celtic Wedding Posted By: Marek Sutherland

The tradition of Jumping the Broom is a fine old wedding tradition that helps set a tone for both the wedding ceremony itself and the new life for the happy couple as well.

The tradition of Jumping the Broom seems to come to us from Wales, primarily, though there is still some contention on whether it comes from Romani Gypsy people living in Wales or comes from the Welsh people themselves. The earliest mention seems to come from the early 18th century, though Romani have been in Wales since at least the 16th century.

I don't really believe it matters as it has been embraced by the Welsh as a sort of common-law marriage symbolic act. The symbolic role of the broom or besom in the home is rich and varied in Celtic culture. Perhaps it's greatest role is that of setting the boundary between the home and the wild. The act of sweeping the floor was not only a way of cleaning but also demarcated the boundaries of the home. In ancient times, dirt floors were common and often to keep them clean enough to live on they had to be swept several times every day.wedding celtic broom jump jumping welsh wales african marriage ceremony pagan christian jewelry

The Koran Is Racist Posted By: C. Read

The Koran is Racist in that it protects one group over others and has no use for those in western cultures and religions. Those who are not Muslim are pretty much seen as non human beings which is why Koranic racism is so dangerous to those who are not Muslim.

In the Western world, most people are taught that religion is a private matter that can be practiced by anyone. In the United States, freedom of religion is one of the basic principals of the constitution. Therefore in this country, as well as other western countries, anyone who wants to practice their religion can do so and does. There are all sorts of religions in the United States that just recognized Wicca as one of the religions. Everything for everybody in that country.

In Europe, there is a greater sense of secularism than in the United States. Those in America are generally more religious than those in other countries, where a great deal of people do not practice any religion whatsoever. However, the western countries do not usually stop other people from practicing their own religions as long as it does not interfere in the laws of the land.Koran is racist Koranic racism

Trends In Modern Jewelry Posted By: David Nielsen

Over the years jewelry styles have evolved to fit almost every taste and budget. The past year has been no different though the recession has made its presence felt in the industry. The majority of the pieces therefore focus on simplicity and stark clean lines reflecting the tightening of the metaphorical belt.
Gold of course never lost its popularity, and shoppers continue to purchase gold pendants, chains, rings and more. One major reason for this trend is of course the solid investment potential gold offers unlike metals like silver and platinum or stones such as diamonds, sapphires, rubies etc.

Simple gold pendants (In Danish guld vedhaeng) are especially popular because of their highly flexible quality. A small yet attractive gold pendant can add a touch of elegance to the simplest of dresses. Minimalistic gold pieces also offer the perfect accents to feminine corporate attire.

Despite the popularity of gold women (especially the younger ones) are experimenting with a variety of materials and styles. Eco friendly jewelry made of materials such as hemp, bamboo, shell etc are popular with college students and silver jewelry too find many takers.guld vedhaeng ametyst solv ring

Knowing Wiccans, Witches, Pagans Posted By: Terence m Powell

Concerning Wicca

Since childhood, I used to be familiar what witches are. I can tell that the tales of princesses within the fairy-tale books I witnessed through my childhood years are the ones that made me conscious of these. Just like the story of Snow White and her evil step mother who turned out to be a witch. Or the tale of sleeping beauty and many others.

But what in reality are these people? Do we really want to get scared by their presence or we may be their best friends? Are there lots of forms of witchcraft? Whatever in your mind right now, just try to hold it first toward yourself and try to end understanding the whole article. Might be this could grant you some insights if what Wiccans are.

Wicca, that's pronounced as wi-ka, is a Neopagan religion and a kind of modern witchcraft. Adherents of witchcrafts are known as Wiccans, Witches or Crafters. They were in reality developing in England in the first half of the twentieth century and was popularized in the Nineteen Fifties and early Nineteen Sixties.

In accordance with my sources, Wicca is literally a duotheistic religion.{Wicca|Wicca Beliefs|wiccan beliefs death|wiccan spells|bas

What Do You Mean By Wiccan And Pagan Holidays Posted By: Jamie Hanson

Wicca, learned from the ancient Pagan practices, is basically nature and magic-based religon . Wicca copies other society religions with its own traditions, seasonal "holidays" as well as belief system. There are many "holidays" or seasonal observances in Wicca and Pagans. Full moons (as well as sometimes new moons) result in the ritual Esbat. There are also 8 Sabbats- 4 of which, the cross-quarter days, are greater than the others as well as relate back to medieval fire festivals. Samhain, Beltane, Lammas and Imbolc are the names of these days. The other, lesser celebrated fests are the summer as well as winter solstices along with spring and autumn equinoxes.

Pagans do "rituals" at important sabbats, esbats, or sometimes for some other reasons for example handfastings (pagan marriages), wiccanings (pagan baptising! ), or other specific occasions. Ritual mostly simply involves casting a circle, calling upon the deity, calling upon the 4 elements, and doing the ritual itself (such as thanking the diety for the harvest, etc). Now, mind you, rituals and ways of doing ritual vary greatly between denominations and individual pagans.

May is the time of a Pagan holiday called "Beltane" that is still celebrated widely today.Pagan holidays Wiccan

New Age is a non-religious spiritual movement that developed during the 1960's, becoming more popular in the 1970's. It is believed New Age developed as a reaction against what some perceived as the failure of Christianity to provide spiritual and ethical guidance.

The movement draws from both Eastern and Western spiritual and metaphysical traditions, infusing them with influences from self-help and motivational psychology, holistic health, parapsychology and consciousness research in order to create a spiritual practise without borders or confining dogmas. Unlike most formal religions, it has no holy text, central organization, membership, formal clergy, geographic centre, dogma, creed, etc.

Another trait of the New Age movement is holding to a holistic world view, believing that the Mind, Body and Spirit are interrelated and that there is 'one consciousness', or a Oneness and unity throughout the universe. Its roots are traceable to many sources: Astrology, Channelling, Hinduism, Gnostic traditions, Spiritualism, Taoism, Theosophy, Wicca and other Neo-pagan traditions, etc

The New Age movement has, many times, come under criticism from a variety of groups claiming that practises like Astrology, Crystal Healing, Reiki, Yoga, Chakra Healing and meditation etc don't work.free music downloads relaxation newage meditation mp3 download free mp3 Reiki SoundsOrange Holistic Life TV listen to music online

Jade Luna's Book Asterian Astrology To Be Released Early 2011 Posted By: Taynew

My first memory of my interest in Astrology dates back to 1985 when I was 12
years old. My Mother would randomly talk about it growing up, and it always
intrigued me. While most kids were reading Moby Finn and Catcher in the Rye, I
was reading books on Western Astrology. I put my first chart together at the age
of 14 and gave my first reading in high school. However, I was also a football
player and genuinely interested in rock music. One of my favorite hobbies was
being a bass player in a high school band. Playing gigs broke the monotony of
everyday life and was very stimulating. I was hooked! Soon after I turned 19 I
moved out to Los Angeles to pursue my dream and I immediately was chosen to be
in a rock band, Epic, which was signed by an Indie label at the time. Within a
week I was touring and on the road; consequently, honing my skills and learning
the business of rock-n-roll. But on the side and never ceasing, was my role as
an Astrologer.Jade Sol Luna Jade Luna Astrology Hecate Wicca Goddess

5 Myths About Real Witches Posted By: Raven LeFay

Many people have vague ideas of what real witches are, usually formed by children's stories or by the faith that they learned whilst growing up. To compound the problem, many people will simply parrot the information they've heard or assumed as fact - so when you are exploring the concept of witchcraft, you will come across many of these myths and misleading "facts". Here are a few of the most popular myths about witches, debunked.

Myth #1: Real witches are Wiccan

Witchcraft and Wicca are two entirely separate things. Saying that they are the same is akin to saying that artists and christians are the same. Witchcraft is a craft or skill, just as cooking is a craft or skill. It can be learned and practiced by anyone who can follow instructions and focus on what they're doing. Wicca is a religion, constructed in the 1950's by a man named Gerald Gardner. Some Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccans.

Myth #2: Real witches worship satan, and "pagan" means "satanist"

Witches do not believe in Satan. Satan himself is a construct of the Christian faith, as a counterpart to the religion's God.real witches witchcraft witches wicca wiccan
