Heritage Of Nagpur Posted By: Suhaina Mazhar

Nagpur was located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The excavation at Drugdhamma indicates that the history of Nagpur commences from eighth century BC. The name Nagpur springs from the name of the River Nag which flows through this region. The name Nagpur was first found within the inscriptions on copper discs that were found out in the Devali area. All these discs belong to the 10th century AD. During the reign of Rashtrakuta ruler Krasna II, the Napura village was granted and this note was located in those copper discs.

Nagpur was dominated by the Vakataka dynasty in 4th century BC. Then several dynasties like Rashtrakutas, Badami Chalukyas and Yadavas dominated over this location. At the time of the rule of Yadava dynasty, in the year 1296, Allauddin Khilji invaded the location and seized it. Later in the year 1317 it went below the control of the Tughlaq Dynasty. Mughal Kingdom ruled over the area from 17th century. But the local administration was vested with the Gond Kingdom.

Bakht Buland, the prince of Gond Empire of Nagpur and Deogarh set up the city of Nagpur. Chand Sultan succeeded him who made Nagpur as his capital.Nagpur Nagpur photos Nagpur videos

Shopping In Sarojini Nagar Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Sarojini Nagar is located in the Indian capital of New Delhi. It is situated in the south west of the capital and the area is considered to be one of the cleanest and most developed. What is more, the city is in close proximity to the Safdarjung Airport and is also serviced by the Delhi Metro. The city is named after the freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu and previously it was called Vinay Nagar.

The city has become very popular due to the bazaar that is located there. It is visited not only by locals but also foreigners as there are a large variety of spots that sell clothes, shoes, accessories, and many other items are bargain prices. The marketplace has four parts known as the Babu bazaar, subzi market which sells fruits and vegetables, the central market and the Mandir wali side.

The clothes and garment stalls here sell export rejects and such at throwaway prices; therefore many people go there to buy fashionable clothing at affordable prices and there are rows and rows of stalls that vie for the attention of the buyer.eaton smart new delhi airport transit hotel sarojini nagar
