Pirates Affect Merchant Shipping Posted By: Stevene Browne

The pirate trade has made a come-back and is thought to cost the merchant shipping industry well over GBP 10 billion every year. Hijackings of merchant ships and vessels carrying food aid have become targets with attacks mainly taking place in the waters of The Gulf of Aden and South China Sea.
According to some reports the rise in hijackings has come about due to a depressed fishing industry in Somalia. However, some people from Somalia where the problem is particularly prevalent suggest it is a reaction by the people to protect their waters since the breakdown of its government. As a result a coalition called Combined Task Force 150 and 151 has been created to fight against the pirates. The task force is mainly comprised of EU countries, but also US, Canada and India.
Since 2005 the attacks have become more frequent and violent with a chinese sailor being killed in 2009 because his ransom was not met. About 30,000 vessels pass through the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean area with over 100 attacks taking place each year.marine insurance

Cau Ngu Festival Hue Posted By: lanhnguyen

It is pretty evident in the skiffs poled along by women, in the houseboats with their tiny rooftop shrines and in the delicacies of grand cuisine that Hue's rich cultural tradition is still alive and vibrant.

Hue's beautiful landscape is full of parks and gardens, palaces and pavilions and festivals and events which undoubtedly makes it a grand tourist destination of the world.

Participating in the festival of Vietnam is perhaps the best way to experience the rich culture and tradition of the country. These festivals are an expression of a truly distinctive cultural heritage. Cau Ngu Festival, Hue is one such festival of the Man Thai Ward, Danang, which honors Sir Fish, a whale God.

The traditional Cau Ngu Festival, Hue of lower Thai Duong Village in Huong Hai Commune of Huong Dien District is planned annually on the 12th day of the 1st month in fond memory of the village tutelary spirit Truong Quy Cong. His pseudonym is Truong Thieu, and he was once a native of the North who came to the village to settle, train the locals how to fish, and trade junks.vietnam vacation travel agent in vietnam vietnam tour vietnam package holiday vietnam travel agent vietnam travel agency vietnam adventure tour

A Zhangzhang Long Photos vividly stone kiosk in front of me, my Moncler Angers Belted Women White Jacket depicting a dragon with a stone to the magical landscape, I revel in the sights, poetic being. This is the Mid-Autumn Festival after the Lishui City, brothers and sisters again organized club activities, because of something I missed to participate, but space in the group photo in the group felt the breath of the Friends activities, I can not help but emotionally a long time can not be calm.

As the saying goes: "Riyousuosi, night dream" That night I really drove the skiff traveling in Shek Wu Long, "moncler coats men's" sound of the paddle, slid a calm lake, boat back again in the a channel wave, disappeared in the distance of the lake.moncler coats men's men moncler jacket moncler jackets

Can I Build A Boat? The 4 Basic Building Steps Posted By: Morten Olesen

Pushing off from the shore, you set sail across the water with an enormous sense of pride and anticipation. You've done it! You've built your own boat and are free to take on any water-bound adventure you can envision. That may be your dream, but for many building a boat seems like an impossible task. Take heart!

While it may require some patience and a few new power tools (nothing wrong with that!), there are really only 4 basic steps to building a boat.

Step 1: Choosing a Boat Design

What do you want to be the captain of? A simple canoe? A row boat? How about a skiff or dinghy? From catamarans to tugboats, you can choose whatever type of wooden boat plans you'd like.

Of course, the bigger the boat, the more complex the plans and the longer it will take to complete. For your first attempt, you might consider a canoe or row boat. But if you've been there and done that and have now set your sights on bigger fish (so to speak), you may be ready to tackle a speedboat or a pram.boat plans

Fishing On Prince Of Wales Island Posted By: Jay Bryce

Prince of Wales Island and surrounding marine waters offer an excellent opportunity for both saltwater and freshwater fishing. The extensive road system provides access to coastal areas, as well as many streams, rivers, and lakes.

Almost all fish present in the waters of Prince of Wales Island are "wild." However, there are a couple of hatchery programs on the island.

The Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association produces several runs of hatchery-bred fish. Coho salmon return during June/July to the short section of stream at the Neck Lake outlet, on the northeastern portion of the island, near Whale Pass. Luck Falls Sockeye salmon also return to this area. Summer-run chum salmon return to the Kendrick Bay area near the southeastern corner of Prince of Wales Island.

The Prince of Wales Hatchery Association has a hatchery facility near Klawock. It produces both coho and sockeye salmon that return to the Klawock River.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game regulates all sport fishing. Be sure to check the regulations and purchase the necessary license before you fish.Alaska fishing fish outdoors salmon trout

4 Affordable Beach Towns Posted By: Lisa Andree

Not all beach towns are comprised of outrageously expensive resort properties and out of reach custom homes. There are many which have retained their charm and affordability. Here are four off the beaten track beach towns to consider.

Jonesport, ME
Escape to the heart of Downeast Maine and discover the quaint fishing village of Jonesport. Incorporated in 1832, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you stroll along the stunning waterfront. Take an afternoon hike along the rocky bluffs overlooking Chandler Bay and watch the lobster boats unloading their daily catch. Those who seek tranquility will not be disappointed in Jonesport. The pace here is slow and relaxed and will likely fuel your creativity. Nature lovers will also delight at the prospect of spotting seals, whales, and over 50 species of birds, including Atlantic Puffins, and Bald Eagles. Just south of the Jonesport Peninsula is the Great Wass Archipelago, which is a group of 50 islands. When it comes to exploring the coves and craggy coastline, kayaking and sailing are the transportation modes of choice.real estate beach property mortgage loans home loans

Digital Book World Conference And The Consumer Electronics Show Posted By: Marco Gustafsson

A number of conferences dealing with electronic technology occur on a regular basis. Two of these are the Digital Book World Conference and the Consumer Electronics Show.
The Digital Book World Conference, a conference on publishing and digital change, is for all book-publishing professionals. This includes senior management, editors, agents, marketers, digital strategists, and others. It is unique in that it helps publishers address business challenges created by digital change.
The first annual Digital Book World Conference took place in New York City January 26-27, 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers. Planners of the conference conceived the idea in June, put together the Conference Council in July, and drafted the initial program in August. They geared panels and talks towards the changing digital book business. It had three main themes: Evolving the Business Model, EBooks: Opportunity or Threat, and Marketing in the Digital Age. Topics discussed included management of digital rights, pricing of eBooks, and timing of eBook releases. The goal was to provide an outstanding program with expert speakers for attendees to takeaway practical ideas, and to include sponsors and exhibitors capable of offering appropriate tools for implementing the strategies individuals learned about at the conference.digital conference book ebook world

Go Back Country For Shallow Water Fishing Posted By: Mike Relahs

You've heard about it, and now you've decided you want to get into shallow water fishing. You want to be the guy that reels in shallow water fish like snook, red fish, tarpon and snapper. But you know that without the right boat, that's not going to happen.First of all, to do it right, a guide is a must. A Florida flats fishing guide is invaluable to find shallow water fish. This guide, or Sultan of Snapper, will take clients out to hard to access areas, usually in a specially designed skiff, which can be anywhere from 15 to 20 feet long. Shallow water boats such as these may seem outsize, but due to their shallow draft, they navigate elegantly in "skinny waters.""Flats fishing," as it is also called, requires special shallow water boat called a skiff. These boats are specially designed to be wide and stable, affording sportsmen the opportunity to fish in water as shallow as three feet. When you can actually SEE the fish you're after, it really adds to the experience. And you definitely want that vessel to be able to "run skinny"!manual power pole shallow water anchor shallow water anchor system spike it stakeout pole stay put anchors stayput anchors stayput fishing water spike

Florida Keys Deep Sea Fishing Posted By: Gerry Stringer

There is a romance to deep-sea fishing; regular anglers and novices alike share the excitement of landing a nice sailfish, bonefish, dolphin or tarpon out on the high seas. The best experiences are those led by an experienced captain who knows where to take you for the adventure of a lifetime.

In spite of the threat of oil contamination from the catastrophic BP platform disaster, waters in the Florida Keys remain fresh and clean and reports are that sportfishing season is off to a bang-up pace

There's a romance to deep-sea fishing that finds even those who are not regular anglers smitten with the idea of landing a nice bonefish, sailfish, tarpon or dolphin out on the high seas with an experienced guide and captain to lead one on the adventure of a lifetime.

There's no better place to fall in love with ocean fishing than Southern Florida, in and around the Florida Keys.

There are, of course, reports of oil washing up on beaches on the gulf coast stemming from the disastrous and deadly oil spill when the British Petroleum platform off the coast of Louisiana exploded on April 20.deep sea fishing deep sea fishing charters deep sea fishing trips fishing charters fishing guides

Nook Prices Dropped By Barnes And Noble: Amazon Counters With Kindle Price Drop Posted By: portableebookreadernow

It had to come about eventually and here it is. appreciably lowered the price tag on its Nook wireless ebook reader today to $199 and at the same time introduced an even cheaper $149 Wifi-only Nook, sparking a price battle with Amazon. The race to 'free' in e-book readers is on today because the regular Nook was lowered from $259 to $199 by Barnes and Noble (BKS). The best news however, is that they released an alternative device that costs only $149 but can only take advantage of Wifi to pull in magazines.

The portable ebook reader is moving to the razor, while the eBooks are the blades. That means the expense of connection for superior eReaders fell over $100 today. That opens up this market to a lot more people who might have up to now held back at the price of a portable electronic ebook reader. This cluster includes this writer. I have favored the nook since the 2009 Christmas time after they hit the market with a bang. Now, together with the new price, ownership can become a real possibility.portable ebook reader handheld ebook reader kindle ebook reader nook ebook reader

50 College Papers To Advertise In Posted By: Elijah Chai

Colleges have tremendous circulation of their bulletins and
newspapers. Their price per run on advertising is very
inexpensive for the number of prospects reached. Believe it or
not, multi-millions of dollars are spent by students each
semester.

If you have a new idea or product, run a test ad in one or more
of the publications and see if you get results. Usually a less
expensive 1" ad will let you know whether your product or
service is going to pull or not. If your test ad proves
successful, then you may want to go to a larger ad or even a
display-type ad and increase your coverage to include more
bulletins and newspapers.

Another way to distribute your product is to advertise for a
student on campus to represent you on a commission basis and be
your dealer. Usually there are several students who would love
to have the opportunity to make some extra money. A good way to
find the right person is by resume qualifications or actually
calling them on the phone and talking it over with them.
Finding the key person could result in many easy dollars in your
pocket.Internet Marketing SEO Online Business Home based.

Saltwater Fly Fishing In Bermuda Posted By: Stephen Daniels

Bermuda offers vacationers much more than luxurious resorts, inviting ocean waters and beautiful beaches; it is also a saltwater fly fishing paradise. Anglers can find great catches during any season along Bermuda's ocean shores, reefs and flats.

Bermuda, always a tourist-friendly island, extends its "no license required" policy to nonresident anglers; fans of the sport need only abide by certain lenient size and quantity restrictions. And there are plenty of places to rent tackle, bait and boats for anglers who didn't come prepared. Many Bermuda fishing charters not only include a wide variety of equipment, but also photograph successful anglers with their catch.

Some of the best coral reef fishing in the world is found off the coast of Bermuda. Reef fishing off Bermudan shores can be enjoyed on coral bands from a half mile to, weather permitting, 30 miles from the shore. The Challenger Reef, a mere 12 miles out, is a popular reef during every season. Due to the sometimes strong winter winds, the Argus Bank, 30 miles out, is best during good weather.Bermuda fishing Bermuda charter fishing fly fishing in Bermuda

Developments In E-paper Devices Posted By: Marco Gustafsson

Even those that can provide an acceptable on-screen representation of real paper are plagued by problems such as the clunky buttons of the Kindle, the glare of touchscreen systems (due to dual layers) and the potential loss of pens from those that require them. E-paper was developed to reduce the glare of regular screens, but the display technology did not advance with the development of E-paper and e-Ink.

However, touchscreen technology is now developing with coatings that can reduce glare, such as the screen that is offered with the new Be-Book Neo, a Wacom touchscreen that combines well with its 6" e-Ink panel to offer clear reading with minimum screen glare. In fact, it could be argued that while the development of E-paper and the E-Ink to go with it were very significant factors in the surge of popularity in eReaders, the newer anti-glare touchscreen developments have really brought these developments to their full potential, or at least close to it.

EReaders have frequently been referred to as e-Book readers, as though they were a better way to read PDF files, for example.touchscreen e-paper technology digital reader

New Ereaders And Similar Devices Posted By: Marco Gustafsson

There appears to be a movement towards smaller data processing devices and larger eBook reading screens, so that the two appear to be converging on a course that will ultimately see them merging into one form of device. Whether this happens or not will depend upon how combined devices compare with those dedicated to their purpose, and how many really want all-in-one machines as opposed to dedicated equipment. It is impossible to answer this question from the equipment on show at the CES, where some new eReaders were presented along with new tablets and netbooks.

Among the new eReaders that were launched or announced at the 2010 show were the Plastic Logic Que and the Alex from Spring Designs. At $349, the Alex runs Android 1.6 on a secondary 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen, the main screen being a readable 6 inches. Android 1.6 Cupcake lacks the GPS and cellular components of the full version, but is OK for this application.

The 6-inch E-Ink display is similar to the Kindle 2 and the Nook by Barnes and Noble, and is used for navigation and voice recording.ebook readers kindle e-books portable review
