Art Nouveau Dining Room Suite ' Posted By: antiquewarehouse

Different art styles are known till date but art Nouveau is known to act as the bridge between modern art and classic art movements and the influence of its simplicity and lightness can be seen from jewelry to architecture.

There are various reasons why the art has been getting used to design art Nouveau dining room suite, Venetian Console and much more. Such reasons are as follows:

Simplicity and lightness

Among others, lightness and simplicity are the main foundations of art. Earlier Victorian styles are known to reflect darkness and heaviness but the said art is something that does not have such problems and this enable artists to design dining room suite for modern art lovers.

Plentiful curves

Another reason or primary feature of art is its plentiful curves. These curves are also called as whiplash curves and are often sharp and exaggerated. The role of curves is that it helps in fusing objects together and the art use these curves in place of straight horizontal or vertical lines.

Flat patterns AND designs

The said artistic form or style is also known to be inspired from Japanese block prints for the usage of flat patterns and designs.art nouveau dining room suite online antique stores

Kannur is a beautiful sea side district in the state of Kerala. Also called by its colonial name of Cannanore which was coined by the British during their reign, it is the largest city in the north of Malabar.

This beach town has a rich colonial past, the relics of which can be seen even today. Kannur has in fact been voted one among one of the ten best tourist destinations in the country in a popular survey. Its popularity is mainly owed to its serene beaches, which has till date kept commercialization at bay. The Payyambalam Beach, Meenkunnu Beach, Mopila Bay and Kizhunna Ezhara Beach are some of the popular beaches in the Kannur region. The Payyambalam beach is one of the popular beaches here and is 2 km from the town of Kannur. This idyllic beach is famous for the beautiful sunset and sunrise view it offers.
Oregon State University is a 500 acre campus within the city of Corvallis, Oregon. The setting of Corvallis is as if jeweler placed a precious stone in a gorgeous setting, the stone being Corvallis, the setting the wildly beautiful Willamette Valley.

Wat Mongkhon Bophit ' Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

The Wat Mongkhon Bophit is a temple situated to the south of Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the Royal Palace ruins in Ayutthaya. It is famous for the Phra Mongkhon Bophit, which is a giant bronze statue of the Buddha, sitting in meditation. The metal sculpture has drawn comparisons to the Buddha statue in Wat Phanan Choeng. Measuring nearly seventeen metres in height, the statue was originally placed outside the Grand Palace, which is found to the east, but was relocated upon the orders of King Songthom. He also had a mondop (a pillared hall or pavilion) built to contain the statue.

However, during the reign of King Phra Chao Sua, the mondop was destroyed in a fire started by a lightning storm. The fire also damaged the spectacular statue. Another structure was built to house the statue, and the bronze statue itself underwent some reconstruction. The Fine Arts Department carried out extensive re-constructive work on the sculpture in 1957, closely following the original design, and the Buddha statue was entirely covered in gold in 1990, to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Queen.wat mongkhon bophit bangkok cruise tour bangkok cruises

Gallery Art Is Appreciated By Different People For Different Reasons Posted By: Art Gib

Artwork comes in many forms and styles. For some people collecting art is a hobby that takes them to a local Aurora gallery where they can view and purchase sculptures paintings and sketches from regional and international artists. Art can be interpreted in many different ways from the picture perfect duplicates that mirror scenery from life to the impressionist style to the abstract, but what is important to notice when admiring a piece of artwork is how it makes you feel when you first lay eyes on it. For many Canadian collectors the native styles of brushstrokes and the attention that honors the beauty of unspoiled nature and wildlife are what draw their attention. The raw yet deliberate forms of a painting can bring to life the imagination and transport the viewer into another place and time.

Art is subjective so it can appeal to wide audience that interprets each piece individually and has no right or wrong to it. Being appreciated for the purely aesthetic value that a sculpture or painting holds the Aurora art gallery is a place that is known for its appeal to a number of audiences.Aurora art Aurora gallery York framing

Businesses that have themed decor draw more attention and attract more customers by giving people a memorable experience. We service a wide variety of clients and always ensure professional, top quality work. We also service, repair and maintenance existing themed interiors, statues, paintings, and wood carvings.

While the city thrives on the diversity that the University brings to it, people of many backgrounds from every state and many countries, it is not defined solely as a University town.

Cultural activities abound, artist workshops, galleries, theater and museums are throughout the city. The University of Oregon plays an important role in Eugenes cultural life. Two of the citys best museums can be found here.

First, there is the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. The museum is notable for its collection of Asian art. One full gallery is devoted to Chinese art and another to Japanese art. Another gallery is devoted to American artists with an emphasis on Pacific Northwest artists. This gallery covers the 20th and 21st centuries. Still another gallery is devoted to the works of Morris Graves, a prolific and well known Pacific Northwest artist. He was an artist of the 20th century whose work was influenced by his visits to Asia. There are other galleries and visiting expositions too.Eugene Oregon Eugene Oregon Festivals Oregon Festivals Eugene Oregon Festivals and Art Scene

Kun Iam Statue - The Divine Statue At Macau Water' Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Gracefully poised upon a lotus dome in a water front, with a divine grace and kindness written all over its countenance, the Kun Iam Statue is more a presence than a statue. This Goddess of Mercy moves you and tugs at your heart strings in a powerfully touching way so that you go on to develop a bond with it even within a short while. Viewed from a distance it invites you to its vicinity, which is very unobtrusive yet strangely alluring.

This exotic statue is a recreation of the most popular deities in Buddhism and is found towering at a height of 20 meters from a manmade island in Macau. The statue is the concept of Christina Rocha Leiria who is a recognized Portuguese sculptor, architect and poem. The Kun lam statue is poised atop a lotus dome with sixteen petals that adds to its serene demeanor and it is also purposely aligned with Guia Hill and Kun lam temple that accords well with auspicious reasons. The statue depicts a slender feminine form and weighs 50 tons and has different castings done on it to withstand the strong winds.Kun Iam Statue <a href="http://www.articlesnatch.com/topic/Statue+at+Macau+water"s+edge" rel="tag">Statue at Macau water"s edge
