Issues Involving Wrongful Termination In At Will Employment Posted By: Nemelou Despuez

At will employment is an agreement that allows employers to terminate workers without a cause while permitting employees to leave their job any time if they want to.

According to Los Angeles attorneys, it is always presumed that a person is an at will employee from the moment he takes a job unless there is a written contract or oral statement that shows otherwise.

While this agreement gives employers the right to terminate workers even without a cause, they may still face lawsuits and claims if the termination violates the US Labor Code.

DISCRIMINATION AS BASIS FOR TERMINATION

Even at will workers are protected from employment discrimination based on gender, age, race, national origin, color, pregnancy, disability, and religion as stated in a federal law.

Meanwhile, some states and cities have a broader definition of discrimination. For example, it is considered unlawful to discriminate workers based on their sexual orientation in California.

It is generally presumed that anything that is not job-related is considered discrimination such as political belief and accent.Wrongful termination of at will employment

Reasons To Practice Yoga Posted By: Amelia Sherman

The trend of yoga seems to have swept the world off its feet. The practice of yoga offers healthy benefits both apropos physical and psychological well being. one can still find many people who are practically unaware of the benefits yoga practice offers. If you too are one of them, then here's why you must practice yoga.

Yoga prompts lots of plasticity in your body and that is one of its main benefits. There are various yoga poses that require you to stretch your body which increases the muscle movement and adds to flexibility. Also, yoga adds additional pliancy to some body parts like legs, back, shoulders, and hips.

As well as virtue of suppleness, yoga also offers an overall strength to the body. It increases the body's capacity to support itself. A regular practice of various yoga asanas buttress many body parts. This in turn renders strength to the entire body. Yoga also proves satisfactory in toning of muscles. As the yoga practice progresses, it enables you to develop lean muscles. Development of lean muscles in turn provides help in shedding weight.

Yoga kills pain and that is it's another benefit.yoga yoga mat kundalini yoga Religion Spirituality exercise stretch Health Medicine Yoga Equipment bikram yoga hatha yoga poses power yoga yoga as

Spiritual Center And External Locations Posted By: Irwin Myers

Spiritual center can be achieved in more ways than you might expect. While a regularly scheduled meditation routine is a great foundation to work towards spiritual center, you can supplement this regimen with a variety of options that exist outside your body.

Whether researching energy vortexes to find places that are rich in energy that you can absorb, or visiting traditionally religious or spiritual cites, throughout the world there are locations that can help you work on achieving spiritual center.

Vortexes can help you achieve spiritual center by letting you absorb the positive energy at such sites. There are many vortexes scattered across the globe of various strengths. Since ancient times, people have been using the power of vortexes to their advantage. Quite frequently these vortexes are very spiritual cites, as churches and other houses of worship have been built on them.

If you are able to access a vortex, you can try meditating at it. Once you have reached the calm state of meditation, you should be able to feel the energy coursing through the air around you and use it to enhance your meditative experience.your mind power spiritual center health yoga your psychic how meditation your powers

Do Your Employees Understand Your Policies And Procedures? Posted By: Wade Anderson

The Employee Handbook, also called employee manual, sets out in detail the guidelines that govern procedures and expectations of the company from its employees. Whenever a new employee joins a company, the normal practice followed is to provide the employee with an Employee Handbook to acquaint them with the new company and its prevailing policies.

The employee should carefully read and comprehend the contents of the Employee Handbook because the employee will then be able to discharge his or her responsibilities in a more informed and educated manner. The Employee Handbook will divulge the programs initiated by the company and the responsibilities of the employee. One of the main aims of the Employee Handbook is to engender the best of environments for employer and employee, thereby resulting in optimal performance of the company.

Of course, an Employee Handbook may not cover every conceivable aspect of the functioning of the company due to various factors, but it is the first comprehensive report about the company that introduces the employee to his or her new environment.employee handbook employee manual employment policies and procedures employee rules

How To Answer Illegal Interview Questions Posted By: Gavin

Federal and state laws world wide prohibit potential employers from asking certain questions that are not directly related to the job they are hiring for. Examples of illegal questions include: Race, Color, Sex, Religion, National origin, Birthplace, Age, Disability, Marital/family status

But the question is how do you handle this type of question when you"re being interviewed?

The interview process is hard enough without having to dodge your way through illegal questions.

Refusing to answer the question or becoming angry at the interviewer will probably cost you the chance of getting the job (However do you want to work at this type of company?)

My advice is to answer the INTENTION of the question. You need to understand and be aware of what the interviewer is really trying to find out. You need to measure the motive behind the question and if you believe the question to be "innocent" then go on the offensive with your response.

Example:

Question: Are you a U.S. citizen" (illegal question)

Now what is the intent of this question? Is the interviewer discriminating against non US residents or are they just making sure you are authorized to work in the USA?illegal interview questions interview questions

Religious Art - Well-known Religious Oil Paintings Posted By: Sabbik

Religious art is an exciting topic covering some of the best art ever created, and surrounding some of the real art masters, over many generations and across many cultures. In the west, Christian art is maybe best known, and from that Renaissance art flourished to bring us the likes of Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci. Religious buildings also were used to show off some of the best work around this time. The art and religion worlds have been linked very closely at times when society itself was most concerned in religion.

Today the west has in some ways moved away from religious art and much of it has become sterile, in the opinions of some. Others respect is for its contribution to the art movements that we have today and for the talent that is shown in the works of the more inspiring artists.

Religious art has often used well-known scenes from biblical scripture as the basis for its work, as well as individual people. Christian art frequently turns to Christ and Madonna for inspiration.

Away from the west other religions have also flourished in the art world, although their art styles have been somewhat different.oil painting reproductions water colour painting

Getting Beyond That First Date And Finding Love That Will Last Posted By: Susan Lancaster

If you are dating and looking for love, you want to put yourself in the best position to find what you are seeking. In a world of online dating services and casual first dates, here are some tips to land that second date and find a more permanent relationship.

Make an Honest Presentation

If you provide a picture on an online dating service, use a recent one. Be honest about your appearance because physical attraction is important to many people and if you appear a lot differently than what is expected, there probably will not be a subsequent date anyway. Share interests in your profile. Something you enjoy just might catch the interest of a prospective date and a shared interest is a great conversation topic.

Be Considerate

Most people want to feel appreciated. Make the effort to arrive on time to the date and if you get lost or run late, let the person know. If you are the recipient of a free meal, make sure to thank your date. If you are being treated, order considerately. If possible, turn your cell phone off so your date can have your undivided attention.relationship advice guidance dating love first date

The Evolution Of Wedding Rings Posted By: Beverly Huffine

When it comes to wedding celebrations, one of the most important aspect of this spectacular event is the exchange of gifts, usually involving the exchange of wedding rings. Wedding rings is one of the most important symbol of every Wedding across the world. Although part of the western culture, the exchange of gifts is usually a traditional event practiced in every culture and religion. It was until the every culture was westernized that the exchange of wedding rings became very popular. So what is a wedding ring made of?

The Evolution of Wedding Rings
In the past, wedding rings were only made from gold. Not the purest because Wedding rings are usually susceptible to damages, basically because of daily wear and tear. Gold were used because it was known as the only material that could last for more than a life time, compared to the use of silver which is prone to corrosion over time. Because of Gold's long lasting luster, it was also used as a way to symbolize permanence for both the married couple.

The introduction of platinum and white gold sparked a new era of wedding rings, those of glamour and fashion.wedding

The Chewa People Posted By: wayne kiltz

The Chewa or Chicewa are of Bantu origin and are a south-central African people group who reside mainly in Malawi with a scattering of people throughout Zambia and Zimbabwe. Originally from Zaire and Congo this people group moved southwards to escape disease and wars going on throughout the country.

History:
From the 1400's to the 1700's the Chewa had established and ruled over most of the predominate kingdoms of Malawi and it was during the early 1700's that the Portuguese came into contact with the Chewa. As other people groups have migrated to Malawi the Chewa have stood out and distinguished themselves from the others by their language, tattoos, and society's. The Chewa stand out in sharp contrast to other African cultures, and even in modern times have managed to retain and carry on the traditional aspects of their culture.

Religion:
The Chewa believe that god lives on a mountain on the border between Malawi and Mozambique. This god created everything and in oblivious recognition of his creation. The Chewa also hold t a form of ancestor/spirit worship in which through dance the spirits of men and animals intermingle and contact each other.chewa people chewa tribe african tribes africa imports

Cat Mythology - Cats As Deity Posted By: Tristan Andrews

Cats as deities are most closely associated with ancient Egypt. The ancient Egyptians had several feline gods and goddesses. Lions were said to guard the great god Ra during his nightly journey through the underworld. The Egyptians had a fascination with lions. They created their sphinx with the body of a lion and the head of Pharaoh. Three lion goddesses existed in ancient Egypt. Sekhmet was a fierce and powerful goddess. She was a war goddess who was sent by her father Ra to earth to destroy his enemies. She is usually depicted as a woman with the head of a lion. Another lion headed goddess was Tefnut whose name means moisture. She represented a primeval force of nature. The third lion goddess was Mafdet who was the goddess of protection.

Among her fierce sisters, gentle Bast may seem a bit out of place. Often shown as a graceful cat wearing bracelets a broad collar and earrings, Bast was the protectress of domestic cats and those who cared for them. Her principle gifts to the world were joy and pleasure. She was a much beloved household deity.cats cat feline kittens cat behavior cat health cat breeds
