The Mortgage Reform And Anti-predatory Lending Act Posted By: Baxter Owens

In May of 2009, the House of Representatives passed a mortgage reform bill known as H.R. 1728. Although this act, which is known as the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act and is part of the Truth-in-Lending Act, has been passed by the House of Representatives, it is still being debated in the Senate. Nonetheless, the ins and outs of the proposed act are already causing some giant waves among brokers and lenders.

What is the Truth-In-Lending Act?

H.R. 1728 is meant to make modifications to the Truth-in-Lending Act that is already in place. The Truth-in-Lending Act is intended to make mortgage lenders and brokers more accountable about the loans they make. As part of the Truth-in-Lending Act, lenders would be required to retain a 5% interest in any loans that they sell. In theory, this will make lenders put more thought into the loans that they make rather than simply making loans with the intent of selling them later. Furthermore, before selling the loans, lenders and brokers are required to demonstrate the loans are still viable. The H.R. 1728 Act will take this legislation to the next level.

Staging Your Home For Sale Posted By: Jim Olenbush

Let's face it - selling a home in today's economy is not a simple task. Therefore, if you want to get your home sold as quickly as possible while still getting its full market value, it is essential for you to do anything that you can to make your home stand out from the other houses that are currently on the market. One way to do this is through a process called staging.

What is Staging?

Staging is a process that involves making the property more appealing to potential buyers. Although this does involve cleaning the property, it also involves taking some steps that help make the home appear larger and more attractive. Furthermore, your goal when staging a home is to help the potential buyer envision him or herself living in the home. In order to achieve this goal, you need to pay attention to a variety of details both inside and outside of the home.

Staging the Outside of the Home

As you begin the staging process, you will first need to pay attention to the outside.staging homesstaging homes for sale

Understanding Short Sales Posted By: Jim Olenbush

Given the current state of the economy, you may be hearing the term "short sale" thrown around a whole lot more than it used to be. In fact, many people never even heard the term prior to the economic downfall. Still, even if you have been frequently hearing the term, you still may be unfamiliar with this procedure as well as its pros and cons. Although there are many details and steps involved with completing a short sale, here is a look at a few of the basics that you should understand if you are considering selling or buying a home on a short sale.

What is a Short Sale?

A short sale occurs when the homeowner owes more on the home than what it is currently valued at. Therefore, if the person were to attempt to sell the home, he or she would not be able to get enough to cover the loan on the home. For those who have fallen behind on their payments and who owe more than the home's value, the lender may be willing to negotiate a "short sale.understanding short salesshort sales

Smoke And Mirrors: Getting On The First Page Of Google Posted By: Duncan Wierman

Where do you want to be? On the first page of Google results of course; it's where everyone with a website wants to be, especially if their website is part of their business. There are a lot of search engine optimization firms out there, with new ones popping up out of the woodwork daily in order to meet the growing demand for SEO services.

Naturally, real estate investment is like every other economic sector in that investors and brokers are taking to the web in the attempt to increase their visibility and to gain a larger share of the market. If you're in the real estate business yourself, you almost certainly have a website by now - and you probably receive a lot of come-ons by SEO companies who are trying to convince you that they'll be able to get your website into the coveted top spot in Google's search results.

Before you pull out your wallet in response to their pitches, think for a minute. There are so many of these firms out there and a lot of them make these kinds of promises.Web 3.0internet marketingSEOreal estate investorreal estate marketingvirtual investing

Grab Opportunity By The Horns With Myrtle Beach Foreclosure Condos Posted By: Pam Bertrand

Vacationing in the Carolinas is a way of life for many individuals. The great weather, incredible golf courses, and beachfront rentals are definitely vacation worthy, but did you know that you can grab a great deal with Myrtle Beach foreclosure condos and save money in the long run?

Rental properties in the Myrtle Beach area are not cheap, and many pay the price because they've never considered buying property at their favorite vacation spot. If you take a moment to think about the total amount you spend each year in rentals, whether you choose a hotel, a condo, or a single family dwelling, and compare that with the price of purchasing a foreclosure you will find that your investment will pay off.

Benefits of Buying vs. Renting Property

There are a number of benefits to purchasing property aside from the tax benefits. You don't have to worry about dealing with private rental agents or finding out that your favorite hotel has no vacancies.myrtle beach foreclosure condosforeclosure condos myrtle beachmyrtle beach foreclosure condomyrtle beach sc foreclosure condos

Purchasing Property: From Start To Finish Posted By: Eva Judge

Buying a new home is a very exciting time in anyone's life. If you've never gone through the process, though, it can be a bit mystifying. In addition to hiring a Queensland conveyancing or Gold Coast conveyancing firm and actually selecting the property you wish to buy, there are many other things that go on. Below, the basic process of purchasing property is broken down so that you can understand it more clearly.

Making an Offer - Upon finding your next perfect home, the Real Estate agent will ask you to sign a contract for the property as an 'offer'. This contract may equate to the properties sale price, alternatively you may wish to negotiate with the seller by making an offer below the asking price. At this point, the seller may either accept the offer by signing the contract; alternatively the seller may return the contract with a counter offer.

Deposit - During the Making an Offer stage, the Real Estate agent will ask you for a holding deposit. Most agents will ask for a deposit equal to 10% of the purchase price however, you should know that this deposit may be negotiable.Brisbane ConveyancingQueensland ConveyancingConveyancing ServicesConveyancing BrisbaneConveyancing Queensland

Industries That Need Antibacterial Hand Sanitizers Posted By: Gen Wright

People nowadays are concerned about illnesses that they can catch and scared by the news reports on the television. It seems that each day a new virus comes out which can kill you. But many don't realize that the industries that they work in may contribute to whether or not they have a higher incident of catching one of the various flu diseases that are out curently.

Health or Medical

If you work in the health care industry. You see antibacterial hand sanitizers at your job. All of the sick people that workers come into contact on a daily basis makes this the most dangerous industry to work in. Not only do they deal with the sick but also the by-products that stem from sick people such as body fluids, and waste.

Education

Imagine all the little kids that come in contact with teachers, teacher aides, daycare centers and afterschool facilitators. We know how hard it is to get them to take a bath. You know that they don't want to wash their hands. Who knows where all those tiny fingers have been. And children generally are germ incubators as their immune systems haven't fully developed.antibacterial hand sanitiser

Myrtle Beach Foreclosure Homes Makes Owning Beachfront Property Possible Posted By: Pam Bertrand

When the average person thinks of beachfront property, it is often only as a dream. Due to the recent increase in homeowners losing their homes, Myrtle Beach Foreclosure homes makes owning beachfront property possible, if you know where to look.

Because it is costly to stay on the beach when you visit Myrtle Beach, many individuals save up all year or go as groups to help cover the cost. With some beachfront rentals going for as much as $500+ per night, and requiring as much as 30 percent of a down payment, buying a vacation home might be a more practical option.
