Getting Fired: Avoiding It And Protecting Yourself When You Are Faced With It Posted By: Dorothy Tannahill Moran

One of our biggest fears associated with our employment is facing the possibility of the ultimate rejection: getting fired. I'm not talking about being laid off. I'm talking about they don't dig what you do or how you do it and you are given the pink slip. It can be devastating on both a personal and professional level. People I've spoken to who have been through this experience often find it difficult to move past it and consequently, let it form their behavior. That behavior isn't always the kind that helps, especially the ongoing replay of the low points.

Yet, there are a few things to know that can either help you avoid that potential pink slip or prepare yourself if it should happen.

How to avoid being fired:

Take responsibility. Your job holds with it certain expectations of performance and outcomes. You are responsible for knowing what those standards and expectations are on an ongoing basis. Life and business changes, and so will the expectations. If you don't know or aren't clear - ask.

Have clear measurements. Once you know what the expectations are, how will you be measured? What are the specific results, both quality and quantity?fired terminated career advice

Controlling Panic Attacks With Simple Natural Methods Posted By: Nathan Tyler

An easy way in controlling panic attacks is by practicing slow and deep breathing exercises. When you change your physical state it has an impact on your mental state. The concentration of stress hormones and adrenaline increases as a person has an panic attack. It's these chemicals in the body that can create distressing symptoms.

When a person experiences an episode, their breath-rate increases dramatically and becomes shallow. Taking control of your breath does several things to help stop an anxiety attack. It helps calm you and make a mental note to stop and focus on your breathing. Additionally, using positive statements and visualizations can have a soothing effect on the mind ad body.

Anxiety attacks often trigger hyperventilation. Hyperventilation causes an imbalance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the brain causing confusion and alarm. The result is a cycle of panic and fear that fuels itself. Controlling the breath can help in stopping panic attacks. Deep breathing can stop symptoms from getting worse and uncontrollable.

As soon as you sense that you might have an episode, divert your attention to your breath and inhale deeply and slowly.panic anxiety sleep insomnia panic attacks anxiety atta

Causes Of Anxiety Symptoms Posted By: Nathan Tyler

With so many different anxiety symptoms and disorders, identifying symptoms can be difficult. Sufferers may experience sharp stabbing pains in places such as the neck and on the scalp. However sufferers are not likely to identify these as symptoms of anxiety.

Anxiety symptoms can even cause sexual dysfunction and disinterest. In most cases people fail to tell their doctor about their symptoms. Sometimes it's because symptoms seem too general or non-threatening such as dry mouth or headaches.

Nowadays, people skip the trip to the doctor and go their local store to pick up something. People who have a problem and know it might feel too scared or embarrassed to talk to someone about it. Perhaps they suffer from agoraphobia, which makes going out or being in an unfamiliar place can be extremely difficult.

Some might pay no attention to anxiety symptoms before it turns into a serious problem. Symptoms can seem so common and everyday that people might just accept them. Most of us see stress as part of life even though it is one of the biggest causes of health problems. As well as causing physical health problems, too much stress and anxiety can cause mental illnesses.anxiety symptoms anxiety symptoms depression panic atta

Alternative Treatments For Anxiety Symptoms Posted By: Nathan Tyler

Anxiety symptoms can spring on us when we least need them. We feel dizzy and our hearts start to pound right before we give an important presentation or take an exam. We get a lump in our throat and butterflies in our stomach on a first date. Talk about bad timing. You're probably wondering why our bodies would sabotage us in this way.

Oddly it may seem these anxiety symptoms are actually the body's way to cope with a threat or fear. Imagine being at a site of an accident. You feel a surge of adrenaline run through your body; in a split second you gain strength and your reactions speed up. You're ready to deal with the situation.

This is the ideal response but sometimes something rather different happens. Sometimes we do just panic and we lose control. Although the stress response can be useful it is triggered too often and unnecessarily. Stress affects everyone, just take a look at the people around you. In the millions of years we've been on this planet our natural stress response has remained unchanged.

Back a gazillion years ago, man wasn't worried about losing his job or keeping up with mortgage payments.anxiety symptoms anxiety symptoms depression panic atta
