What Is Combatives: Part 2 Posted By: Matthew McKernan

The Battle of Britain began in early July, 1940. England was isolated in a war against the axis of evil. The miracle retreat from Dunkirk and the German "Blitzkrieg" across Europe, including the crushing tactical defeat of the famed French "Maginot Line" proved the Third Reich war machine to be virtually unstoppable. Hitler's plan for the invasion of England, named "Operation Sea Lion" was a daily focal point of danger and concern for the British.

Dunkirk had decimated the British forces and moral was at an all time low. Two recently returned veterans of British colonial rule in Shanghai, China approached the War Office and offered their services at this desperate time. William Ewart Fairbairn, retired as a ranking officer of the Shanghai Municipal Police and his partner Eric Anthony Sykes, a private arms dealer who served as a volunteer in the Shanghai Municipal Police and headed the sniper unit of the famed Shanghai Riot Squad, promised the War Office that their training and methods could in short order, make "any one man the equal of ten."

After the debacle at Dunkirk this was a most important and dramatic statement.martial arts self defense

The Last Days Of Palestine Posted By: Ronn Torossian

What would we do if we lived in a flood plain with no egress at all, or along a hurricane evacuation zone that just prolonged the inevitable without taking you out of the path? It is probably something few really consider until the storm is bearing down on them and reality is about hit hard. Living in the New York metropolitan area, having experienced hurricanes, nor'easters and blizzards that destroyed property, wiped out beaches, killed people and devastated lives and families, many of us can imagine the sense of urgency when an emergency is near.

Most recently, last April and May we watched the 24 hour news channels as large regions of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi were hit by the largest storms since the early 1900s, and the Morganza Spillway was intentionally opened, destroying nearly 5000 square miles of inhabited land to spare total destruction of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, on the heels of the 2005 hurricane that nearly wiped out the whole Gulf region. What if the people who lived there or were visiting the area then had no way to escape?

The prospect is frightening and for just about all of us, unimaginable.RONN TOROSSIAN

Acres Of Diamonds Posted By: Devon Harris

Russell Conwell helped to transform a night school in a church basement in
Philadelphia into Temple University. He did it by retelling a story that was told to
him while in a camel caravan in Mesopotamia. It was a story about Al Hafed, a
very wealthy farmer in ancient Persia. Al Hafed was living his dream life until one
day a Buddhist priest visited him and during their conversation told him how the
world was formed.
The old priest also told Al Hafed about diamonds and that if he had a handful of
diamonds he could purchase a whole country. With a mine of diamonds he could
place his children upon thrones through the influence of their great wealth.
That night Al Hafed went to bed a poor man -- not that he had lost anything. He
was poor because he was discontented and discontented because he thought he
was poor.
After a sleepless night, he arose early the next morning and told the priest of his
desire to be immensely rich. After a lengthy conversation the priest told him that
he would find diamonds in a river that runs over white sand between high
mountains.Olympic motivational speaker Devon Harrs

I Had A Dream Posted By: DavidBSmith.

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. ... I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. ... I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together."

In Acts chapter 11 we are told that Peter had a dream, and the thrust of these two dreams is remarkably similar!

In a bar in New York there are two guys sitting at opposite ends of the bar eyeing out each other as they sink a few beers. One guy is a Jewish American. The other guy is a Chinese American.christian preaching father dave Luke Jesus secular

Stamford Ct's Historic Waterfron Luxury Homes: Marion Castle Posted By: Steven Penny

One of Stamford Connecticut's most beautiful historic luxury homes is Marion Castle built in 1914 by Frank Marion, one of the first early motion picture pioneers. This stunning waterfront Neo-French Renaissance chateau at One Rogers Road, Shippan Point exemplifies the era of Stamford's emergence in the early 1900's from a farming community to the year-round residences of wealthy New York families.

Marion Castle was built by one of the first true movie moguls, Frank Marion, whose Kalem Company produced some of the earliest one reelers shown at nickelodeons and silent movie houses across the country. His first big hit was Ben Hur in 1907 that was fifteen minutes in length focusing primarily on the chariot race. The film was shot at the beach with firemen as actors using the horses that usually pulled the fire wagons pulling the chariots.

Ben Hur was one of the most popular novels of its day and the film was an immediate success.Stamford CT Historic Luxury Homes Marion Castle Frank Marion Connecticut Travel Leisure National Register of Historic Places Connecticut Tourism Ship

Why Not Rent A Car While You Are Visiting Israel? Posted By: Susan Sherman

As one of the foundations of western society the area around Jerusalem in what is now Israel is of immense importance. Both the Jews and the Christians regard Jerusalem as being of immense significance to their faith. In addition the third major monotheistic religion also regards Jerusalem as of immense importance.

Historically of course it is important as well. Although the religious center moved to Rome the Birth Place as well as the site of the Sepulchre of Jesus are major religious attractions and are presided over by three major Christian sects (Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox) The Romans occupied Israel for many hundreds of years and ordered the Diasopra which was in the 2nd century AD

After WWII a group of Jewish scattered peoples from all over the world desired a homeland of their own and basically forced the British who were mandated to administer Palestine to accept and recognize a Jewish state. However none of the neighbors, who were all followers of Islam, recognized this state and refused to countenance them.Car Rental Israel Car

Silo | Ss Silo Posted By: jack78

The usually strong structure used for storing bulk of materials is known as a Silo. It can be used to store grain for agricultural purposes or even the fermented feed. Silos can be used for storing grain, cement, coal, carbon black, food products, woodchips and saw dust in bulk. Silos can either be permanently made structures which are rigid and in nature, or can be temporarily constructed making it flexible and portable. The most widely used silos comprise of the tower, bunker and bag silos.

Storage Silo
Being a vertical storage tank, Storage Silo is a rigid, easy to transfer as well as erect. It is a very specialized part of long term storage systems. The material to be stored inside the Storage Silo decides its pattern and design. A number of substances like food, petroleum products, chemicals, sewage and even metal ore can be stored inside this system. Sometimes it is even possible to rebuild a silo for storing a different kind of product. However wet silos can be difficult to convert into dry and vice versa.
We manufacturer and undertake turnkey projects for silos and bulk storage vessels.Silo Ss Silo Bolting silo Silo manufacturers in Ahmedabad Lime storage silo Silo manufacturers in Gujarat
