Get Close To Nature At Udawalawe National Park Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Udawalawe National Park is considered to be the third most visited national park in Sri Lanka and it is located between the Uva and Sabaragamuwa Districts of the country and thus can be found more towards the Southern part of the island. It is a popular tourist destination and is visited not only by foreigners but also by a large number of local wildlife and nature enthusiasts.

The reserve was established in 1972 as a sanctuary for wild animals, who were displaced during the building of the Udawalawe reservoir. Over the years the farmers cultivating in the area have been gradually removed and provided with alternative areas for farming.

The national park is perhaps the most popular spot in the country to go elephant watching as there are a large number of pachyderms who have made this place their home. For wildlife enthusiasts, it is a perfect place to go watching not just for elephants but also a wide range of birds such as cormorants, painted storks, Sri Lankan hornbills, Sri Lanka jungle fowls, red faced malkohas and a variety of species that are both endemic and migrant.udawalawe national park sri lanka elephant safaris

Ratgama Lake ' Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Ratgama Lake is a large salt water lagoon in Dodanduwa, Sri Lanka, located roughly two kilometres inland from the coast. The lake is known for its large population of aquatic birds, and even houses a sizeable population of water monitors and mongooses. Bird lovers will enjoy visiting Ratgama Lake and trying to spot the various species of avian fauna. One will be able to find egrets, cormorants, and night heron. While there are a few kite surfing spots in the area, they are not as popular as ones found at places such as Unawatuna beach or Ambalangoda beach.

There are three islands situated in the lagoon. Of the three, Polgasduwa is the most popular. The island contains a large Buddhist monastery. Shrouded in jungle, the monastery was founded in 1911 by the Venerable Nyanatiloka Mahathera. It is a place where monks can meditate and study. Due to its location, the islands can be quite warm and humid. Those interested can make a trip around the lagoon on a traditional Sri Lankan catamaran.Ratgama Lake Hikkaduwa Hotel Beach Hotels in Sri Lanka

Don't Read This Article! Posted By: Joe Vitale

I'm sick of it. All the so-called communication experts keep declaring that your mind cannot process a negative command. They say "Don't spill the milk" means you'll spill the milk. They say your mind doesn't respond to "don't" and in fact skips over it. As a result, you end up seeing the rest of the statement as a command. You then spill the milk.

Bull. The very first words most people hear growing up is "NO" and "Don't". We learn right away not to poop in our pants, or eat the dirt, or swing the cat by the tail, or spill our milk. The only reason we might still spill our milk is sheer awkwardness or clumsiness, not because of a communication issue.

This is one of the things wrong with NLP and other communication modalities that claim to know how our brains work. They make wild claims and act as if they are universal truths. After all, no one really knows how the brain works. We're still learning. To say we don't process negative commands is an arrogant statement. It assumes god-like powers. And it's wrong.

Look at the title of this article. I inserted the word "don't.abundance attract money attract wealth attractor factor Divine joe vitale law of abundance law of attraction coaching mr fire

Effects Of Gdc-0879 Posted By: Dr. Ribia

There are various reasons of cancer formation but most of cancers are associated with mutated MAP kinase pathway. GDC-0879 is among such inhibitors which can inhibit this mutated kinases pathway. This important pathway initiates from RAS and leads to the other downstream kinases including Raf, MEK and ERK. Therefore the compounds which can inhibit this signaling pathway is very interesting to the researchers. Those inhibitors which are active against the MEK kinases are mostly not effective against the mutated forms of RAS. The screening of compound library leaded to the discovery of GDC-0879 which checks growth of tumor cells having Ras gene mutations.

GDC-0879 is a competitor inhibitor of Raf kinase, its activity depends on the concentration of ATP that is substrate for most of the kinases including Raf. Few inhibitors such as Vemurafenib are efficient in the treatment of cancerous cells having BRAF V600E mutation. Inhibitors of MAP kinase pathway are able to arrest the actions of mutated kinases and check the tumor growth in Ras activation mechanism. Secondly WT-Raf is activated by the actions of GDC-0879. Due to this dimerization and localization is stimulated in the membrane region. As a result RAS-GTP interaction is increased.Tipifarnib Danusertib
