Istana Negara: A Magnificent Royal Palace Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Istana Negara is a splendid royal palace located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It stands majestically on the Bukit Petaling hill and spreads over 28 acres with views of the scenic Klang River and the bustling area of Jalan Syed Putra. It is the official residence of the Malaysian royal family, his majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the title of the monarchy. The present king of Malaysia Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin was coroneted in 2007. Malaysia has a unique system of monarchy, where members of the royal family take turns in periods of five years to rule the country. This agreement came into place during its independence in 1957 where there were 9 royal families existing. The current king, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin is the 13th such leader under this agreement.

Originally the palace was an extravagant mansion of a Chinese businessman Chan Wing who built it as his primary place of residence in 1928. Since then it has had many owners including the Japanese Governor during the Japanese Occupation from 1942-1945 and the British Military Administration who used it as their offices.the Royal Palace Malaysia accommodation Kuala Lumpur

Learn About History Of Ahvaz Before You Travel To Iran Posted By: Rahman Mehraby

History of Ahvaz takes you back to the time when the name was coined in Darius' epigraph. The Naqsh-Rostam inscription also carries this word in the form of "Khaja" or "Khooja". Initially, this city was called Ohrmazd-Ardaser and it dates back to the time when the Sassanid dynasty was established. It was built overlaying the old city of Taryana which was famous in the Achaemenian times.

It is not very clear whether the town of Ahvaz was founded by Ardashir I in 230 or by Hormozd I, his grandson. This place was also known as Humser. It rose in prominence during the Sassanid era with many dams and an irrigation system being constructed. Some of the dams include Band-e Bala Rud, Band-e Mizan, Band-e Borj Ayar and Band-e Khak. The city became the capital of the area called Xuzestan.

Naming of the Place

Studying the history of Ahvaz will let you know that the town was divided into two sections with the nobles living in one part and the merchants in the other. The section dominated by the nobles was totally destroyed by the Arabs when they entered this town in 640.ahvaz ahwaz history of ahvaz visit ahvaz travel to iran iran travel iran tours irna trip visit iran iran trip trip to iran traveling in iran

Visit Shadorvan Bridge In Shushtar When You Visit Iran Posted By: Rahman Mehraby

Shadorvan bridge is one of the beautiful locales you can see when you visit Shushtar. It is located in the Khuzestan province of Iran. Along with this bridge, you will also find the Mizan dam and the Dariun creek which are found in Shushtar. These structures have been constructed over the river Karoon which flows alongside the beautiful city of Shushtar. These structures are quite old but have been pretty well maintained.

The bridge is a reminder of the architecture of the Sassanian dynasty. Shahpur I built this bridge for dual purposes. He wanted to connect both sides of the Karoon river. He also wanted to divert the water to the Dariun creek. By raising the level of the river, this purpose could be achieved.

Great Structures on Water

You will be impressed by the work of Shahpur I when you visit Iran. Along with building Shadorvan bridge, he also made the Mizan dam to properly use the waters of the river Karoon. He made it possible to divide it into two tributaries called Shotate and Gargar. There are 9 entrances in this dam.Visit Shadorvan Bridge Shadorvan Bridge visit Shushtar visit iran iran tours iran trip iran travel visit bridges iranian bridges

Visit Band-e Kaisar When You Travel To Shushtar In Iran Posted By: Rahman Mehraby

When you travel to Shushtar, you must visit Band-e-Kaisar which is also known as Caesar's dam. It was the first combination of a bridge with a dam. The arch bridge was built with the efforts of the Roman workforce. The rulers of the Sassanid dynasty ordered this Roman bridge and dam to be built in the heart of Iran.

The unique combination of dam and bridge design inspired the civil engineers in Iran which also further helped them to develop the famous Sassanid water management methods. The dam has been made on the river Karun, which was responsible for meeting the water needs for agriculture in the south west of today Iran. You must see this engineering structure when you visit Iran.

Sassanid Period Structure

The Band-e-Kaisar forms the basis for Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System. The UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site in 2009. The road on the bridge connected the main communities of antiquities, Pasargadae and Ctesiphon, the erstwhile capital of Sassanid empire. The unique structure was in use till the end of the 19th century but it was repaired many times during that period.Band-e Kaisar Shushtar visit Shushtar visit Iran travel to Iran trip to iran tour to iran Iran tours iran travel iran trip

Chief Wazir Kassim Ali Hasan Ali Javeri Posted By: Ibrahim

Period (1877-1968)

Sayed Imam Shah (d. 1520) is said to have launched a brisk mission in Gujrat. He converted a certain Khoja Jiva in Khambat, Gujrat. Khoja Jiva was well rooted in Ismailism and he himself converted large number of Kanabi caste of the Hindus, notably Motilal, Daya Ram Nathu, etc. The descendant of Motilal migrated to Surat during the time of Imam Nizar II (1585-1628), who deputed Sayed Abdul Nabi in India, whose tomb is in Kankara Khadi, near Surat. He was followed by the vakils, Hasan Pir (1652-1715), Sayed Ghulam Ali Shah (d. 1792), etc.

Motilal, the ancestor of Kassim Ali H. Javeri practiced Ismaili faith in the mantle of a Hindu, and his descendants lived in various cloaks, shaded with the Hindu social custom for a long period, and they became known as the guptis. They performed the religious service in the house of Jedas Prabu for 75 years in Surat. Later on, the house of the forefathers of Kassim Ali H. Javeri was used for 45 years as the Jamatkhana, where Imam Aga Ali Shah is reported to have visited for five times.bohras bohri dawoodi bohra pir mawla quran ul hakim ali mizan allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism in United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan J

Mizan Posted By: Ibrahim

The word mizan (pl. mawazin) is derived from the root wazn meaning the knowing of the measure of a thing. It is true that the measure of material things is judged by a pair of scales or by some other implement, but the deeds of man need no scales for their measurement. Raghib writes that by wazn or mizan, in connection with the deeds of men, is meant "the doing of justice in the reckoning of men." He quotes the following examples: "And the measuring out (wazn) on that day will be just." (7:8); "And We will set up just balances (mawazin, pl. of mizan) on the day of resurrection" (21:47), where in fact the meaning is made clear in the Koran itself by the addition of the words "no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least." So too elsewhere, a mizan is referred to as working in nature itself: "And the heaven He raised it high, and He made the balance, that you may not be inordinate in respect of the balance, and keep up the measure with equity and do not make the balance deficient" (55:7-9).mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism microfinance United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journalism in Middle East Jour
