2010 Winter Ibiza Holidays - Surprisingly Peaceful Posted By: Henry Ashworth

To say that Ibiza has something of a reputation is an understatement. It boasts some of the world's most inviting beaches. But it has also become known for its raucous nightlife. High tourist season (between June and September) sees thousands of holidaymakers partying the night away.

However, there is more to Ibiza than dance clubs. Once the summer winds down, Ibiza becomes a quiet and inviting getaway.

The months between October and May are the best for holidaymakers more interested in a cultural experience. The bars are still open, but they're much quieter and more conducive to an intimate dinner. Holidaymakers visiting Ibiza in winter tend to come for the history. Smaller crowds mean culture seekers have ample time and space to soak in the sights and sounds of the island.

Ibiza is the third largest of an archipelago of over 50 islands. The chain is known as the Balearic islands. Ibiza and the island of Formentera are referred to as Islas Pitiusas, or the Pine Islands. The two were once a stop for pirates until the Romans drove them out. Rulership changed hands numerous times over several thousand years.

The seat of its government is located in Ibiza Town.Ibiza Spain travel holidays vacations

Ski Holidays Get Hot For 2010 Posted By: Henry Ashworth

The number of people taking ski holidays for the 2009/10 season is almost certainly going to be less than last year. Resorts are adding attractions, offering cut price ski passes, and doing what they can to get a share of what could be a declining market.

Andorra is typical of many areas that have enjoyed a good number of tourists visiting in previous years. But now it must face up to a sharp decline in the number of people taking ski holidays this winter.

Andorra is a small country in the Pyrenees, and skiing is a major part of the country's revenue. Andorra ski holidays started in the eighties as cheap alternative to ski holidays in France, but in recent years Andorra has spent millions on improving her infrastructure.

Included in the upgrade of facilities for Andorra has not only been public spending on roads and improved access to the skiing areas, but private capital investment in some very good quality hotels. Many hotels in Andorra now recognised as meeting a good international standard and achieving 4 or 5 star status.

In recent years, Andorra has attracted up to 12,000,000 tourists per year during good economic times;Andorra Olympics ski holidays vacations travel Ibiza music Glastonbury

Reis Naar Barcelona Of Mallorca, Ontdek De Middellandse Zee Posted By: Deschryver

Lanzarote: Political Propaganda Or Holiday Destination Posted By: Archie Arch

I was shocked to my very core when the president of Spain, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, said "Anyone who can come should come to Lanzarote." This biased opinion is surely going to have people flooding to the island of volcanic origin. Or is it?

As far as political opinions go this is at least based on some good facts and one that I would concur with. The Spanish president explained how he'd visited the Canary Island numerous times, following up with how beautiful the island is and how friendly the people are. I wasn't personally aware that tourism numbers were dropping in Spain a statement like that leads me to believe there just might be. Perhaps he is being perfectly honest about his affection for Lanzarote and my views are completely cynical, perhaps.

In 2008 it was recorded that tourism in Spain had took a turn for the worse with figures that saw a drop of 2 million visitors compared to the previous year. Many believe it is because people are seeking new shores for their holidays, to experience different things.holidays to the canary islands cheap canary island holidays canary island holidays

Montgo And Cabo De San Antonio Posted By: Daniel Major

The area of Montgo is an unspoiled section of coastline and hinterland that offers a view of how the coastline of the Costa Blanca appeared before the advent of tourism in the area.

Montgo is located in the Marina Alta region in the north of the province of Alicante, Spain and is easily accessible from the main holiday resorts situated to its north and south. Situated just to the north of Javea (Xabia), Montgo is a large massif covering more than 2000 hectares and that rises to 753 meters (2470 feet). It is renowned for its rock formations, cliffs, caves and natural harbors and acts as a natural divide between the aforementioned town of Javea and the large provincial port of Denia.

Montgo was designated a natural park in 1987 because of its immense wealth of flora, fauna and ecosystems, it has more than 600 species of wild flowers, many of them unique indigenous sub-species, and it is for this main reason that the title of 'natural park' was bestowed upon this area.Spain Costa Blanca Montgo Wildlife Natural Parks

The Devil's Arcade-venues To Date Russian Women Posted By: Larry Cervantes

Odessa is a mysterious and ancient city where East meets West and intrigue rules the day. The setting for numerous movies of espionage and international suspense, the city of just over 1 million souls was recently a key location in the Hollywood blockbuster Transporter 3 as well as several films of the 007 franchise for good reason. Capitalize on this unearthly mood in a city where a night on the town is an indulgent adventure not soon forgotten.

Odessa is one of the largest cities of the former Soviet Union and the fourth largest in Ukraine. The municipality has more local character than any other city in the country with a unique Russian/Ukraine/Mediterranean tilt.

Settled by ancient Greeks, then officially founded by Catherine the Great in 1794, Odessa became wealthy in the 19th and early 20th centuries on trade, shipping, and smuggling. To this day Odessans are renowned for their sharp wit and uncanny trading abilities which were shaped by and large by the cultural mix of Russians, Turks, Tatars, Greeks, Armenians and a host of other ethnic groups. French and Italian influenced architecture lends this city a truly international flavor.

Odessa"s nightlife is notorious for it"s hedonistic makeup.anastasia international dating russian women

Tips For Gay Travel In Spain Posted By: Howie Holben

Visitors to Spain will find a high level of acceptance and a welcoming atmosphere nearly anywhere you travel in the country. The visibility of the community and the scene varies between each of Spain's major cities, including a sexually-charged nightlife in Madrid, a classy, casual culture in Sitges and a thriving LGBT community in each of Spain's major cities, as well as many smaller towns. With exceptional weather, beautiful scenery, awe-inspiring architecture and a rich history and culture, the reasons to partake in gay travel to Spain are limitless.

Fashion Designers And The Celebrities They Dress Love Ibiza Posted By: Henry Ashworth

This summer's buzz in the Balearic Islands surrounded fashion designers and celebrities. Several well known fashion designers are considering buying property on Ibiza.

Designer Julien Macdonald is looking for "something beautiful" according to sources. He wants something modern with great entertainment possibilities. He is looking to spend around 3 million for the perfect home.

Designer Roberto Cavalli plans to invest around 10 million on his island home. His requirements are a bit more extensive, as he would like a secluded area where he can keep an eye on yacht. The RCC Roberto Cavalli is no stranger to Ibiza as many refer to it as a rainbow yacht. Special paint designed to reflect all the colors of the rainbow make it appear to change colors as it passes.

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are looking to invest more than 20 million on large island estates. The Dolce and Gabbana duo create immaculate articles of clothing we often see on the runway and red carpet.

New Flights Rock Ibiza Holidays Posted By: Henry Ashworth

For years it was only the well off who could afford to visit Ibiza - home of some of the best clubs in the world.

But with new airlines taking on the traditional carriers, flight prices have dropped enough for even students to be able to take advantage of a great clubbing holiday in the sun at an affordable price.

With tourist budgets stretched during the economic downturn, everyone's looking for travel deals. The big traditional airlines are now experiencing downturns in bookings and loss of market share for places like Ibiza - but elsewhere too.

Low cost airlines work on the principle of volume and frequency. Their business model is to move as many people as possible as frequently as possible.

There's a business term for this called turnover or velocity. The term velocity is actually appropriate for these budget airlines.

Their aircraft travel with great velocity. They also have that velocity, speed, or movement from a business standpoint. In other words, they are always moving people. They tend to have more bookings per individual flight as well.

In Spain, the budget airlines have overtaken the country's traditional airlines.Ibiza Spain travel holidays vacations
