Interesting Explanation For Vietnam Lunar New Year Posted By: lanvht

Why is a branch of peach blossoms in the home?
At the approach of Tet, every Vietnamese home is adorned with a branch of peach blossoms. If the time is properly reckoned a peach branch, slightly burned at the end and put in a vase of fresh water, will blossom exactly on the morning of the first day of the New Year .A horticultural marvel, you may think. True enough, but remember that in olden days, the peach branch was used as a charm: it could ward evil spirits that prowled by night.

Legend has it that in the distant past, a peach tree of fantastic size grew on the slopes a mountain in China. It abundant foliage spread for hundreds of leagues around. Two powerful genii lived in it and fed on the flesh of devils and other evil spirits. Naturally, the latter fled of having their dream disturbed.
But at the end of every year, the genii had to go t Heaven to report to the Celestial Lord.Vietnam new year vacation to vietnam vietnam vacation

Typical Translation Errors Posted By: carmen

Working for a translation agency I deal with a variety of translated documents on a daily basis. Medical, business, marketing, legal, financial; whatever the field there will be something 'titillating' for me to read through! As a native English speaker and, having a better than average grasp of the finer qualities of my native language (I know I'm blowing my own trumpet here, but if I don't know one else will!), I have the responsibility of proofreading and editing many translations into English that pass through the office. For this article I am going to examine (briefly?!) some of the most common translation 'errors' I come across.
One of the things that reveals itself almost immediately is whether the document has been written by a native speaker or not. Unless you are lucky enough to be truly bilingual it is almost impossible to write like a native speaker in a language that is not your mother tongue. A lack of fluency, a lesser grasp of the subtle nuances of language and familiarity with idiom can, sometimes, lead to funny and indeed serious mistakes.Translation Translate Translator Translations

With Purposeful Planning You Can Create The World You Want Posted By: Ted Ciuba

The majority of people are simply not in tune with a lot of the things we're talking about in philosophy. They don't even really think it's possible.

For instance, on page 278 it's noted, "A relatively small number of people use, with deliberation and purposeful planning, the faculty of creative imagination. Those who use this faculty, volitionally and with understanding of its functions, are genii."

That's true. It's the sixth sense, the messages, and the feelings that people get, and of course we call it intuition-and in fact, if you grew up in America, you've heard it called "women's intuition." A lot of times, it seems that some people think that women have it in a more developed sense.

And they may; certainly they seem to have the emotional component developed better than a lot of men, who seem to be more mental. But I don't mean to be sexist-this is just an observation of what some people say.purposeful planning creative imagination genii sixth sense women's intuition

Vedic Astrology Part Iv Posted By: newagephilosopher

As the earth sphere is divided into the Western AND the Eastern hemispheres by the Prime Meridien ( the Greenwich Meridien ) so is the Celestial Sphere divided into Western and Eastern hemispheres by the Celestial Meridien. As the globe is divided into northern and southern hemispheres by the Equator, so is the Celestial Sphere divided into the nothern and southern hemispheres by the Celestial Equator.

The Four Major Mathematical Points of the Zodiac

In Astronomy the Eastern Horizon is called the Ascendant. 180 degrees from it is the Western Horizon called as the Descendant. The intersecting point where the Ecliptic cuts the Celestial Meridien is called the Meridien Cusp ( M C ) and 180 degrees from it is called the Imum Coeli ( I C ).

The Computation of Houses

First the longitude of the Ascendant is calculated by using the following formula

Tan L = Sin E
   ---------------------------------------
   Cos E Cos w - Sin w Tan A

Where L is the Ascendant, E is the Right Ascension of East Point , w the Sun's maximum declination and A - the latitude of the place. Once the Ascending degree is known , 180 degrees is subtracted to get the Descendant.astro codes astro guru astro scholar astrology software numerology software gemology software matrimonial data bank matrimonial software dating

2 Recipes To Improve Your Genius Capabilities And Reduce Stress Posted By: Robert C. Worstell

"All children are born geniuses; 9,999 out of every 10,000 are swiftly, inadvertently degeniusized by grownups."
Buckminster Fuller

How to make a genius is as little understood as geniuses themselves.

The word genius comes from Latin genius, meaning "guardian deity or spirit which watches over each person from birth; spirit, incantation, wit, talent," from root gignere "beget, produce", from Indo-European base *gen- "produce" (Douglas Harper's Online Etmology Dictionary)

Genius, as the ancients knew, was spiritual in origin. And taking a metaphysical approach to this is where we start making progress in understanding this extreme state of ability (or talents).

Basic premise to a book like this is to assemble all the known data on genius (genii) and to publish this as a collection of works.

You'll see as we go that I've rejected a great deal of conventional wisdom. Most that is commonly known about the brain for example, is fallacious, since it is being studied and "understood" from only a material view. So I consulted Napoleon Hill and Prentice Mulford, as well as William Walker Atkinson as my experts. Being metaphysicians, they weren't tied to Science's dialectical materialism or Religions' dogmatic certitudes.genius ideas stress solutions napoleon hill vision personal development

Allergies And Mold Posted By: Jim Corkern

Millions of people in the world suffer from all kinds of allergies, whether it is pollen, grass, foods, animals, or mold. Allergy symptoms are mostly seen from the spring to the late fall because of the fact that most of the allergies are due to seasonal plants and molds. Most plants and molds that cause allergies do not thrive during the winter and cannot continue to grow in freezing temperatures. They simply remain dormant and this is true of mold infestations inside homes. While the mold does not continue growing during the winter, it will thaw during the winter and be just as much of an inconvenience as they were before they were frozen.
There are all kinds of allergy symptoms that are associated with mold. The kind of reaction and the severity can vary from person to person, but the usual signs are runny noses, sneezing, watery eyes, and skin rashes. The presence of mold can also cause what is called Perennial allergic rhinitis. The allergy symptoms caused by mold are often aggravated and made worse by eating any food that has been made with mold or any other kind of fungus, like mushrooms.water damage mold removal water damage restoration allergies

Just What Does Greco-roman Mean Posted By: Terry Kubiak

Greco-Roman Religion in both Greece and Rome was polytheistic, embracing a multitude of gods and goddesses, especially in the Roman Empire which tended to absorb the deities of the countries it conquered. The Greco-Roman period of history refers to the culture of the peoples who were incorporated into the Roman Republic and Empire. The "classical" Greco-Roman period ends with the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century AD. However, the Greco-Roman civilization continued in the East for another millennium (although as with all civilizations it changed over time). Terms such as Greco-Roman World are also coined by scholars to denote the geographical borders of the culture's impact. After the Punic Wars, Greco-Roman civilization dominated permanently over the Carthago Phoenician areas and the entire Mediterranean basin. The Greco-Roman dominion reflects the essential unity of the Mediterranean world at the time when this culture flourished, between the 3rd century BC and the 5th century AD.

In the succeeding centuries the notion of a common Greco-Roman culture in the Mediterranean became more and more distant from reality.Greco-Roman gods and goddesses Roman Empire ancient times goddess Roman Republic classical fall of the Western Roman Empire 5th century AD Roman World
