Getting Free Money By Paying Less For Your Gasoline Posted By: Ryan Round

Can you believe the price of gas these days? What will the price be if we have another hurricane in the Gulf? What about trouble in the oil rich Middle East? We should shudder to think about those possibilities.

Let's face it, the price of gas will not go down, it will only go up. Whether it goes up slowly or quickly is beyond our control. What is in our control is the price we pay for gasoline and how we act to save money at the pump. Here are nine tips to save cash at the pump. Several are common sense and several of them are little known tricks that help you save money.

Tip 1 Take some time to plan your travel. Whether it's going to work, shopping, vacation, or to run errands, think how you can save gas. Find a short cut to work (this may be a longer route but with less traffic). Combine your errand running with shopping. Choose a closer place to your home for your vacation.

Tip 2 Reduce the use of your air-conditioning. When the air-conditioning is used, gas mileage decreases.Free Money By Paying Less Gasoline

Giving The Car A Break Posted By: David Williams 2

When consumers are trying to think of different ways to save money during a tough economy, often the first thing that comes to mind are ideas of how to cut costs where their cars are involved. For example, when I first purchased my Jeep, I bought it right before the economy took a tumble. The month following the purchase of my Jeep, gas prices shot up through the roof and suddenly everyone who had previously owned a sport utility vehicle was turning it back in to their dealerships in order to get more fuel efficient vehicles. Who would have thought?!

If you have the means and wherewithal to do so, try to see if you can sell or trade your car back in to a dealership. If you are planning on going this route, make sure that you do your research to figure out exactly how much your car is worth as well as how much it would be worth if you traded it in to a dealership versus if you sold it yourself.car shipping companies

The Ford F150 And Its Fuel Efficiency Ratings Posted By: RW Tanner

The 2010 Ford F150 is a full size pickup truck that is sold in the United States and throughout the world. It has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for the last twelve years. The F150 can be ordered with only one engine, a 4.6 liter eight cylinder powerplant that has a two valve per cylinder design and electronic fuel injection. The engine produces two hundred forty-eight horsepower at four thousand seven hundred fifty revolutions per minute, and pulls two hundred ninety-four pound feet of torque at four thousand revolutions per minute.
The F150 can only be ordered with an automatic transmission, a four speed with overdrive unit that is unchanged from the previous year. Fuel efficiency in the F150 is dependent on whether the truck is ordered with a two wheel drive or a four wheel drive system. The F150 in its standard trim is a two wheel drive vehicle whose power is driven through the rear wheels. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rates the F150 in two wheel drive trim at fifteen miles per gallon in city driving, and nineteen miles per gallon on the highway.Ford F150 Parts

The Mitsubishi Eclipse And Its Fuel Efficiency Posted By: RW Tanner

In the past, consumers of sporty vehicles cared little about fuel efficiency. Since these cars cost more than other alternatives, monthly fuel expenses were not a top priority. However, times have changed. The modern automotive consumer cares about fuel economy for a number of reasons. For example, people of all economic backgrounds worry about the environmental impact of shopping choices. Additionally, recent economic busts remind everyone of the importance of a trim budget. For the benefit of the consumer, let's take a look at data regarding fuel efficiency in the 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

For the style-conscious consumer, the Mitsubishi Eclipse is a mainstay. This attractive coupe delivers the look of a high-performance sports car at a reasonable price. When considering fuel efficiency in the 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse, this car delivers reasonable results. The Environmental Protection Agency rates this vehicle with 20 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. If one chooses the V6 model, slightly poorer ratings should be expected. The increase in power causes these ratings to drop to 16 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse remains an attractive alternative to the expensive sports car.Mitsubishi Eclipse Parts

Fuel Efficiency In The 2010 Chevy S10 Is Highly Competitive Posted By: RW Tanner

In the vehicle purchase experience, fuel efficiency plays a substantial role in making a final decision about which vehicle to buy. This feature is particularly important for purchasing a truck, particularly a truck that will be used for commercial endeavors. The fuel economy of a truck, usually expressed in miles per gallon, directly affects the cost to own a vehicle in the long term.

Compared to other trucks in the compact truck class, the fuel efficiency in the 2010 Chevy S10 is highly competitive. The EPA, Environmental Protection Agency rating for this vehicle is 15 miles per gallon in the city and 19 miles per gallon on the highway. This economy with the V6 engine is higher than the rating for the I4 engine, as the engine does not need to work as hard and thus can spin at a lower speed to pull the same amount of weight, burning less fuel.

With its 17.5 gallon fuel tank, the S10's average combined fuel economy of 17 yields an average range of nearly 300 miles between fuelings.Chevy S10 Parts

The 2010 Toyota Tacoma Has Improved Fuel Economy Posted By: RW Tanner

Automobile consumers care about fuel economy. When gas prices swing wildly under various economic conditions, the monthly budget can be devastated by fuel costs. For this reason, car manufacturers put extra effort into providing energy efficiency. Consumers compare mileage ratings to determine the overall cost of operating a vehicle. For those who are shopping for trucks, information regarding fuel efficiency in the 2010 Toyota Tacoma has been provided.

The Toyota Tacoma is a sporty compact pickup truck. While it has the muscle to move a heavy load, this lightweight vehicle offers shocking fuel efficiency. Regular and Access Cab models get 20 miles per gallon in the city. On the highway, these trucks are rated at 26 miles per gallon. When compared to other pickup tricks, consumers save money as a result of the fuel efficiency in the 2010 Toyota Tacoma.

Due to a difference in weight, the Double Cab and X-Runner versions of the truck receive lower ratings. The Double Cab models are rated at 17 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway. For the X-Runner, drivers should experience 15 MPG in the city and 18 MPG on the open road.Toyota Tacoma Parts

See Whats New With The Fuel Economy Of The 2010 Lesabre Posted By: RW Tanner

The new 2010 Buick Lesabre is a reintroduction of the older model with all the tweaks we have been waiting for. Offering a driver information center with a tire inflation monitor, you are offered the best technology Buick has to offer. Also with full-range traction control, the drive is quite smooth. Building up to the best part, there is a 3.8 liter 3800 Series II, 30 valve, v6 engine for energy without the fuel usage being great. Fuel efficiency is a big consumer driver and the 2010 Buick Lesabre offers what consumers are looking for.

With a gas mileage of 20 city and 29 highway-great for the Buick; the '10 Lesabre is a better model than previous versions that haven't been so economic where fuel was concerned. The overall style of the Lesabre is quite elegant and still presidential in effect, offering the expansive style with the new benefit of a more fuel-economy focused vehicle. The price for the 2010 Lesabre are in the average range for the traditional style and is offering a taste of the good old days with a dash of the new.Buick Lesabre Parts

Mergers, acquisitions And Market Powers Posted By: Linda Miller

Before two entities come together in a business relationship, several considerations are made in assessment of the viability of the idea of a merger. When the European countries arrived at a decision to have a common market, it became necessary for companies existing at national level to come together in order to enjoy the great opportunities that had just presented themselves. This itself being a good thing does not imply that it had been a perfect situation especially for smaller companies. Companies that come together and unify their operations are likely to benefit more as their individual customers are likely to be brought over after the merger. It also could be an opportunity for companies to market themselves in countries that they have not been before. The effect of this on the small companies however may not be very pleasant, and they may as well have to follow suit. It is only normal that whenever there are giants around the smaller animals feel threatened. So what does it exactly mean in terms of market power for the smaller firms?mergers acqusitions and market powers

Sources Of Renewable Energy Posted By: Linda Miller

The current understanding of the threats posed by the serious global environmental changes, the effects of the global warming, have made the world take a more proactive role in an attempt to stop further environmental ruin, if not reverse the situation. The use of renewable energy has been hailed as one of the best ways to ensure that this is realized. This is because oil is not only expensive as an energy resource, but it also causes serious environmental pollution across the globe. A target set by the European Union seeks to ensure that at least forty five percent of the energy used in various countries is from renewable sources. It is against this background that the UK government has promoted the implementation of sources of renewable energy. The advantages of such an undertaking are in no way few. People use various kinds of energy every day. It is important therefore, that the sources of energy be not only sustainable, but also environmental friendly. This paper is aimed at establishing the various sources of renewable energy that have been implemented in the United Kingdom.

What's New For The Web In 2010 Posted By: Chris Haycox

Web innovation is at least as unpredictable as anything else, perhaps more so. Still, some trends are shaping up already, a few of which have been percolating for a year or more. There will be technological advances, attitude shifts and various convergences of devices, Web sites, "personal tech" and "smart applications." The following themes and focuses - among many others, certainly - will be in the news in 2010.

The ever-present "now" - Facebook and Twitter, and their hordes of imitators, brought a bubble to the real-time trend in the latter part of 2009. The growing demand for instant everything, immediate interactivity and "nowness" reflects people's desire to make the most of every moment, and fast. Smartphones, netbooks and WiFi-enabled whatchamacallits will converge more and more until people won't trust restaurant ratings unless they're from diners still at the tables. Real-time collaboration will get a boost, too, once Google can explain exactly what Wave is.

Augmented reality (AR) - Often, the early adopters glom onto things that actually become big hits. Just as often, perhaps, they glom wrong.Web trends Farmville Facebook

The Chevy Malibu Yields An Impressive Fuel Efficiency Rating Posted By: RW Tanner

The 2010 Chevy Malibu comes packed with power and performance while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.

The Malibu is available in four different trims; the LS, 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ. Each style utilizes the Ecotec 2.4 liter 169 horsepower 4 cylinder Variable Valve Timing (VVT) engine. However, only the LS comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission. All other trim styles utilize the 6-speed automatic transmission. Each has mechanical fuel injection with a front wheel drive powertrain.

The LS has an EPA estimated fuel economy rating of 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The remaining three trim styles boast an impressive 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway rating. All four trim styles come with a 16 gallon tank producing a one-tank driving distance of up to 528 miles. According to Chevy, that's a better fuel efficiency rating than a comparable Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord.

The Malibu also offers an optional Ecotec 3.6 liter V6 engine with VVT. This larger engine is only available for the LTZ and 2LT trim packages. Even though the Ecotec 3.Chevrolet Malibu Parts

Fuel Efficiency In The 2010 Volkwagen Passat Posted By: RW Tanner

The 2010 Volkswagen Passat is ranked by Edmunds reviews number 16 in the affordable mid-size car class. The interior is very close to those found in luxury sedans available for much higher prices. The manufacturer's suggested retail price of $25,000 suggests a higher class of mid-size sedan. The 2010 version of the Volkswagen Passat comes together in a well-balanced package that allows the driver to enjoy a comfortable cabin area and a sport tuned suspension. The Passat comes with Volkswagen's standard three year or 36,000 mile factory warranty, but the standard four cylinder turbo charged engine delivers mediocre fuel economy compared with others in its class.

Unfortunately for those looking for different engine options, the 2010 version of the Passat only comes with one option. The four cylinder turbo-charged gas motor comes coordinated with an automatic 6-speed transmission; a combination which makes the drive train more powerful than other four cylinder drive train options in the same mid-size class. The transmission does have the Triptronic shift control option, which allows part time manual shifting of the transmission. The 200 horsepower motor only provides 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway; not the top rating for its car class.Volkswagen Passat Parts

Ten Tips For Hypermiling Posted By: Ryan Round

n recent months, gasoline prices have skyrocketed, and more and more people are looking to hypermiling as a way to save gas. Since 2006, this gas saving method is slowly gaining popularity. This technique is called hypermiling in the United States, and Ecodriving in Europe.

Followers of the hypermiling trend are called hypermilers. Hypermilers are experts at making every drop of gasoline work to its full potential. Hypermilers have been known to get up to 100 miles per gallon (mpg) in their automobiles.

For those who are not die hard followers of hypermiling, common sense driving techniques go a long way to improve gas mileage. Listed here are ten techniques that can help you get the best mileage out of your vehicle.

1. Accelerate gradually. Drive as though you have an egg between your foot and the gas pedal. (A raw egg not a hard cooked egg).

2. Drive slowly, and keep within the speed limit. Driving at slower speeds can significantly increase your miles per hour. Using hypermiling techniques will sometimes cause drivers behind you to get aggravated, but grin at them and know that you are saving gas.Hypermiling gasoline prices hypermilers

Export-import In South Africa Posted By: Gen Wright

South Africa is a middle-income country which lies on the southern tip of Africa. This beautiful country is bounded by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe lie on its North, while Swaziland and Mozambique lie on its East. Although South Africa is categorized as a middle-income country, it is blessed with abundant natural resources that help in boosting up its economy.

Even though, many cities and towns constitute South Africa, advanced development is significant in four major areas only which are: Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban. Unfortunately, the other parts of South Africa aside from these four major areas manifest poverty and poor development. However, some of these areas are recently showing growth in economic development.

Unlike highly industrialized countries, development in third world countries is rather slow. Despite this reality, South Africa utilizes its resources and skills in establishing global trading. The three major exports for which South Africa is famous for are diamonds, gold, and platinum.

These three major products are exported into the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, China, and Italy. All these other countries rely mainly on South Africa for the supply of these goods.South Africa Export Import South Africa Export

Fuel Efficiency In The 2010 Mitsubishi Galant Posted By: RW Tanner

The Galant is Mitsubishi's entry in the very competitive mid-size sedan market segment. The Galant is a four door sedan that can carry up to five passengers. The Galant is a competent sedan with excellent crash test ratings and good power. The vehicle features a front wheel drive layout, and four wheel drive is not available. The Galant is available with only one engine option, a 2.4 liter four cylinder powerplant that features multi-point fuel injection and four valves per cylinder. A six cylinder optional engine has been dropped for the 2010 model year.
The four cylinder engine is rated at one hundred sixty horsepower at five thousand five hundred revolutions per minute, and one hundred fifty-seven pound feet of torque at four thousand revolutions per minute. The four cylinder is mated to a four speed automatic transmission that features the "sportronic" option. The sportronic feature allows the driver drive to manually change the transmission gears rather than relying on the automatic transmission. This feature does not affect the fuel economy of the Galant. The Galant returns twenty-one miles per gallon in city driving, and thirty miles per gallon on the highway circuit.Mitsubishi Galant Parts
