Save With Hitchhiking After Buying Europe Airline Tickets Posted By: Mark Etinger

When you choose a Europe airline to explore a different part of the world, you may not have much money left over, especially if you're in Western Europe. But when you buy Europe airline tickets to Eastern Europe and you want to see a lot without spending much more money, don't buy more plane tickets or Eurail passes. Hitchhike!

Hitchhiking is much more acceptable in Europe than in the U.S. Think about On the Road. It's a little more like that. The key is to find a good place to hitchhike. A public highway on ramp is usually the best place to get a ride. Picnic areas and gas stations are also good spots. Don't go to highways, bus stops or intersections.

Walk until you reach the furthest edges of town, and if you don't immediately get a ride, don't continue through desert, swamps or boonies. If you're going a long way, ask to get dropped off at the edge of town, as it can be frustrating to get into the center of town due to traffic. Government rest areas are not usually good places to hitchhike; but commercial rest areas are okay.flights to israel brooklyn travel europe airline cheap flight to israel cheap tickets to israel israel travel agents travel agency israel flight to is

Why Bruges A Nice Place For Tourists Attraction Posted By: Vishal Bani

Travel From London to Bruges by Train:
Bruges is unique, in the sense that here the town authorities have done the utmost to preserve the medieval-looking image of the city. Of course, not every stone in Bruges has come to us straight from the Middle-Ages. The 19th century neo-gothic style is more present than one should think. Because of these 19th century renovations, some critics have put Bruges down as a 'fake' medieval city. Nevertheless, the combination of old, not so old and new fascinates everyone who first sets foot in Bruges.Bruges is always beautiful, in the summertime as well as in the wintertime. Lucky visitors will never forget the city after they have seen it on a snowy December or January day:

Travel from London to Bruges by London Bruges Train:

The Best European Travel Deals Posted By: Kristi Ambrose

If you are planning to visit anywhere for a holiday, the best place to start looking into are European travel deals. Like The US, Europe has so many different countries and cities that you could visit, it could literally take months to visit all of them. There are two main things you want to look into when planning your trip to Europe in order to make this the most pleasant trip yet. First off, you need to consider that while Europe is another country, it still can get quite expensive to stay here and eat - especially true if you plan on visiting all the culture ridden spots and restaurants in the area you will be staying.

For lodging you have two or three options available to you. You can either stay in a hostel, hotel or you can rent a home. Honestly, most people would probably be more into renting a home because you have all the comforts of home and it's more private, but the choice is up to you. For entertainment, lodging, and transportation issues, you need to start looking into European travel deals.European Travel Deals Eurail Schedule Euro Pass British train

Travelling To The Uk From Abroad Posted By: Peter S Taylor

If your journey isn't too great a distance, for example you are visiting from Europe, you might want to consider a variety of travel options. But if your journey is a long one, plane fares are now so competitive that in terms of speed, comfort and cost you should probably just look at flights.

Flying is the most obvious way to travel to the UK. Fares can vary dramatically so the best advice is to shop around and be flexible about dates and airlines. In particular students, young travellers and seniors should be able to get special deals and discounts.

Prices are generally a bit lower if you travel during the week. Peak season is from about May to October and this is when fares will be most pricey with the most expensive months from June to September. Fares will probably also be very high (and flights booked out in advance) over Christmas and New Year.

The busiest and most popular airports are Heathrow and Gatwick, both in London. But if you are not visiting London you might try some of the other airports in the UK which handle international flights, such as Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow.Hotels Uk Hotels USA Hotels Australia Hotels Canada hotel

Getting Around In Europe - Trains Planes And Automobiles Posted By: Matthew Reider

If you vacation in Europe, the trip over and back is often only a small part of the transportation planning process. With so much to see in a relatively compact area, you'll no doubt want to move around within Europe to take full advantage of the opportunity.

The good news is that once you've reached Europe you'll find that discount airlines and cheap fares to move throughout Europe are plentiful. For example, a recent check of airfare between London and Barcelona found fares as low as around $40.00 one-way.

There are a number of low cost airlines in Europe that normally sell tickets through their own web site or over the telephone, but rarely through travel agents. You'll book your ticket and pay for it at the same time, receiving an electronic ticket that you must take to the airport for the flight. Among several no-frills airlines operating throughout Europe the most active are EasyJet and RyanAir. Travel sites suck as www.canuckabroad.com can quickly give you the flight options as well.

But while flying can be a quick way to travel from place to place in Europe, don't forget how great travel by train can be.eurail eurorail cheap flights travel europe europe travel hotels

Train Travel - Yes Why Don't You Travel By Train? Posted By: Steve D Evans

What is the real truth about train travel. Many people will tell you that trains are often late or cancelled, with passengers even left to fight their own way home. Tinny loudspeakers announce cancellations almost guaranteeing that if there is a bus relay, you probably won't hear about it until after the service has departed! Others will tell you in short, that trains are the number one alternative to automobiles, and why don't you leave the car at home and use them.

The fact is that throughout most of Europe we have for some year been witnessing a rebirth of rail. Train travel has finally entered the 21st Century. Trains to many suburban destinations come and go every 20 minutes, and in some cities possibly all night. Beyond Europe, train travel in Singapore, in this very well-developed and run country is an enjoyable experience for travelers with all the modern facilities tourists enjoy. The air, train and the water routes are all well co-ordinated and attractive and inexpensive.

Trains usually offer a much nicer environment than a cramped automobile, including more leg room, better air, and more opportunity to move around and keep your blood flowing.train travel tavel in train train travel in usa train travel in europe travel by train in texas

Women Traveling Alone. Why Not? Posted By: Graeme Lanham

Kristy, aged 32, had recently separated from her partner and needed to "get away". All her previous travels had been with a friend and traveling solo was real "out of comfort zone" stuff. Kristy did her research and made some pleasant, surprising discoveries.

Her first pleasant discovery was that many travel organizations now no longer charge a single supplement. Out of a selection, she chose Intrepid because it provided the kind of travel experiences that suited her. I met Kristy on an Intrepid tour based in Lucca, Italy and she was having a ball. She discovered that as a single traveler, it is so much easier to make new friends. Her initial fears had disappeared and she joined in the activities, including Italian cooking classes, cycle rides through the Tuscan hills and winery tours, with enthusiasm.

I was surprised at the number of single women in the group. Most were in the age range between 23 and 50 and all expressed initial fears of traveling alone. Then they discovered 2 huge advantages.

The first was personal freedom and the second, independence. The simple pleasures of YOU deciding where to go, where to eat and where to shop, cannot be beaten.: travel travel health women women's travel europe lucca eurailpass italy eurostar.

Discover The Magic Of Venice At Night Posted By: Graeme Lanham

A sea fog drifting in from the Adriatic gave an almost surreal atmosphere as we strolled through Piazza San Marco {St Mark's Square}. It was just after midnight and the square was almost deserted. My wife and I enjoyed the free music from tired musicians playing before the last of the outdoor diners, before walking to the edge of the main shipping canal.

Street lamps gave off an eery, misty halo and apart from the gentle sound of water lapping the sides of parked gondolas, it was silent. As we peered into the gloom, we watched the ghostly silhouette of a large cruise ship gliding cautiously through the mist. The mournful cry of its foghorn occasionally broke the silence. We said nothing. Just drinking in the scene. A moment in time we would never forget.

Earlier in the evening, we had left our hotel to explore the almost deserted streets, looking for small family run restaurants frequented by the locals. We became hopeless lost as we wandered the narrow back streets. Our discovery however made it worthwhile. We dined in a tiny family trattoria and enjoyed freshly cooked Venetian food with Venetians.Venice Italy St Mark's Square Rialto Bridge gondola Grand Canal vaporetto.

Europe's Top Rail Journey Posted By: Graeme Lanham

The Glacier Express journey between St Moritz and Zermatt, is not a high speed intercity dash. It is a 7 hour travel experience through some of the most spectacular valley and alpine scenery in Europe. It travels through glorious scenery at a leisurely pace demanded by hairpin turns, high bridges and mountain tunnels.

Imagine viewing from your panoramic window, tiny picturesque valley villages set below soaring peaks, raging river torrents and high, snow covered mountain passes?

There are 2 trains each day. One starts at St Moritz and the other at Zermatt. They run throughout the year and all seasons are very popular, so you have to book. The Swiss meadows in summer are covered in flowers and make a spectacular sight. In winter, most of the countryside, particularly the alpine passes, will be snow covered. It is a unique experience waving at skiers as your train climbs to the top of mountain passes!

Fall or autumn however, has a special magic. The mornings are generally clear, crisp and sunny, early season snowfalls have carpeted mountain peaks and the deciduous trees display a variety of brilliant golds, reds and yellows.

Switzerland On A 4 Day Pass Posted By: Graeme Lanham

Is it possible to see the best of this beautiful country in the heart of Europe, in 4 days? If you're adventurous and have a reasonable level of fitness, it can be done. Read on to discover how.

Your time in Europe is limited and there's so much to see. However to miss this tiny country would be a great pity. The people are courteous and friendly, the lakes breathtaking and the mountain scenery the most spectacular in Europe.

The booking clerk at the Zurich Bahnhoff looked at me with surprise when I presented him with my 4 day Swiss Pass and told him of my travel plans.
"I hope you are fit ", he said. Fortunately Switzerland is compact and its travel system is smooth, punctual and efficient.

Zurich is an ideal starting point because of its transport access to the rest of Europe. Most international airlines fly to Zurich and travelers from London can go by Eurostar to Paris and then by express from Paris to Zurich. Lausanne, just east of the border with France, is a convenient finishing point with its TGV high speed rail connection with Paris.switzerland swiss pass europe eurailpass zurich health fitness.
