Especially in the Cold War era, when the two sides have been detained on the occasion of ideology, but Hong Kong can break the shackles of political, cultural forgotten to save China.

The Kills Tickets : Their Three First Albums Have Gathered Critical Praise Posted By: Amanda Harrison

The Kills is a rock band formed by American singer Alison Mosshart ("VV") and British guitarist Jamie Hince ("Hotel").Their three albums, Keep On Your Mean Side, No Wow and Midnight Boom, have gathered critical praise.

Mosshart was previously in Floridian punk rock band Discount, and Hince was in the British rock bands Fiji, Scarfo and Blyth Power (the latter describe themselves as a mix of The Clash, Steeleye Span and The Rubettes).

The duo first met when Mosshart heard Hince practising in the hotel room above hers, and when Scarfo and Discount disbanded they struck up a songwriting partnership. For months, the pair air mailed work tapes across the Atlantic; this proved to test the patience of both artists as it took days or weeks to get each other's tapes, so Mosshart moved from her Florida home under the guidance of Lauren Antonina Herbert to London.

Wanting to cut themselves, Mosshart and Hince renamed themselves "VV" and "Hotel" respectively and began writing sparse, minimalist songs together with the aid of a drum machine. In 2001 they showcased their new songs on a well received demo tape; however, the pair shunned approaches from major record labels. The Kills Concert Tickets

The World Of Five Incredibly Deadly Kung Fu Styles Posted By: Al Case

I love Kung Fu Movies, so a title like Five Incredibly Deadly Kung Fu Styles is most excellent. When you speak of these arts, however, you aren't just discussing cinema. You are delving into incredibly potent regimens that are the most dangerous martial arts on the planet.

These are specific body disciplines which steel the body and make sharp the mind. People who engage in these arts have gone beyond the flesh, and are describing a world towards which mankind hurries with appreciation. Let's consider the five deadly Kung Fu styles.

No particular order to our consideration, let's begin with Shaolin Gung Fu. Inspired by the immortal Bodhidharma, it has become the most powerful influence in the martial arts world. In Shaolin you are talking about the absolute protection of creating an iron body through Golden Bell Training, and the steel fingers that eventually result in Dim Mak (the death touch).

Many arts claim lineage to Shaolin, and Wing Chun Gung Fu is first in line. Sometimes thought of as a 'girly art' because it was founded by a nun, this art shows that being sensitive to an attacker enables one to lay waste to an attacker.Pa kua chang tai chi chuan pa kua chang weapon kenpo

Here' Posted By: Al Case

A totally wonderful karate book is the martial arts biography by C W Nicol entitled 'Moving Zen.' Amongst the cutting anecdotes is one of my favorites, which concerns the authors run in with Real Tai Chi Chuan Power. Following is that anecdote, and then a short explanation of the energy he encountered.

Mister Nicol, when he was a lower ranking Shotokan student, was sleeping in a rather large Japanese house. A virtual castle, it had a central pillar running up the center of the structure. On that night he was awakened by a booming that actually shook the whole structure.

At first panicked, thinking it was some kind of earthquake, he quickly realized that it wasn't an earthquake, and that something out of the ordinary was happening. He descended through the house, and located the source of the booming in the basement. A Tai Chi Master was striking the central pillar.

This was more power than CW had ever seen, and it was different than the power he had been training in Shotokan. The Karate master (Kanazawa, I believe) present merely observed that there is power, and then thereis superhuman power.dim mak one inch punch real tai chi chuan power

The Real Secret Of The Dim Mak Poison Hand Death Touch Posted By: Al Case

Let's be honest, in my giving you The Real Secret of the Dim Mak Poison Hand Death Touch, there's going to be a few people who like what I say, and there's going to be a few people who don't like what I say. Well, fantasies die hard, but the truth is always better in the long run. The truth, when it comes to using the death touch to kill people, is not all it is knocked up to be.

In the first place, there really is an art that teaches this thing, but it is extremely hard to find a teacher. And, to be accepted tolearn is really hard. You have to actually know a few kung fu styles, you have to have an recommendation from a Kung Fu Master. And that is no guarantee that you will be accepted as a discipline.

In the second place, one must question the worth of studying such a rare and esoteric art. It will take years to understand the teachings and to be able to actually use them in a fight. Quite honestly, the time spent learning the poison hand death touch you could spend learning other arts.death hand learn death hand learn death touch dim mak book

Mystery Jets Tickets For Uk Tour 2010 Posted By: Sara Jessica

Mystery Jets is an English five-piece indie band, formerly based on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London. The band's first line-up consisted of Blaine Harrison on drums, William Rees on guitar and Henry Harrison (Blaine's father) on bass. Henry became a second guitarist in the band and they were joined by Kai Fish on bass and Tamara Pearce-Higgins on keyboards. The Eel Pie Island EP was recorded soon after by bishopdante at Rooster studios, from which it became obvious that a period of touring would be required to develop tightness and material, and so a white van with a trailer was bought, and the Mystery Jets set off. The band issued its first proper single, a limited edition 7" of "Zoo Time", on Transgressive Records. The Mystery Jets ran a series of illegal parties on Eel Pie Island, attracting large crowds, before being shut down by the police. They went on to sign to 679 Recordings.mystery jets mystery jets tickets buy mystery jets tickets

Barack Obama Is Going To Be A Shaolin Kung Fu Master! Posted By: Al Case

Okay, he hasn't become a Shaolin Master yet, but he should! Look, the mess our country is in, all of our elected officials, and even the unelected officials, should take lessons in the martial arts. And it is this writer's recommendation that Barack Obama become a Master of the Shaolin Butterfly so he can defend himself against people like radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh!

When I was undergoing the trials and tribulations of fatherhood, I learned a neat trick. When my sons wanted to borrow money, go out to parties, and that sort of thing, I made them freestyle me. If they won, they went, if I won, they did the dishes! Though they had the speed and quickness of youth on their side, I had decades of martial arts, and in this sneaky way I reigned supreme as a father should!

Compare raising recalcitrant, stubborn headed children to telling recalcitrant, stubborn headed politicians what to do, and you will see the logic of my method. Simply, when that politician wants to raise your taxes, tell him he must freestyle you first. When he gets caught with that slinky babe snorting...stuff, make him freestyle you.mas oyama book online kyokushinkai kyokushinkai book kenpo

The True Facts Of The Dim Mak Killing Strike Posted By: Al Case

When I began studying the martial arts, it was a brand of karate much like shotokan, I was fascinated by the tales of one punch one kill. The idea that you could drop an opponent with one punch was absolutely fabulous! And that you could actually kill somebody with a karate strike, well, that was more than just a TV show, you know?

Then, along came kung fu and the concept of dim mak, the idea of killing with a simple touch of the fingers. Man, now this was something, and I know it doesn't speak well of my maturity, but, man! To actually just touch someone, with a fingertip, and have them drop dead, cowabunga!

We trained hard in our desire to make these killing philosophies a reality. We did our ritualistic dances and endless calisthenics and techniques and spent endless hours punching the bag. Oddly, the more violent we practiced in the training hall, the more peaceful we were once we left the training hall.

Finally, I grew old, over forty years in the arts, and, finally, I began to understand some of this one punch, or even one touch, kill ability.euchi master shotokan master isshin ryu techniques shito ryu

Three Steps To The Most Powerful Punch On Earth! Posted By: Al Case

I don't care if you study Uechi ryu or shotokan or kenpo, or whatever, you're going to need a powerful fist. I don't care if it is boxing or Krav maga or tae kwon do, you're going to need a fist that knocks them down the first time! Even if you're in Aikido or Tai Chi, you're going to need some kind of real power, or at least know what power is so you can properly handle it.

The funny thing is that a powerful punch is can easily be had if you follow a couple of easy steps. You don't have to slam your poor mitts against a telephone pole. You don't have to thrust spear fingers into boxes of sand.

As with most things in this world, once you know the knowledge behind something, that something is easy to understand and do. Thus, the first thing you need to know in developing a killer punch is simple. That one thing you need to understand is...weight.

This universe is constructed of nothing more than objects flying through space. When objects strike one another weight will be the resulting sensation.one inch punch dim mak break boards uechi ryu kenpo mma

Learning Dim Mak Techniques Comes Great Responsibility Posted By: A. Thomas Perhacs

In studying the arts of Dim Mak, which is considered as a very dangerous martial arts technique, one should be aware of the great responsibility that comes with this knowledge. The Dim mak otherwise known as the Death touch is an ancient Chinese martial arts that applies striking of specific body points to cause injury. The damage can be very severe that it can that can lead to paralysis and even death. Dim Mak, however, can be used for self defense and for healing purposes as well.

Many assumed that Dim Mak was formed by the same person who discovered the original Tai Chi. The knowledge about this method of attacking an opponent quickly spread over the land of ancient China, influencing and improving other Chinese martial arts. This martial art was also able to influence the Okinawa martial arts or Karate.

The study of the arts of Dim Mak was only given to trusted students who already have an advance skill. That is one reason why although a lot of martial arts are being taught worldwide, the theories and practices of Dim Mark martial arts remain private for so many years.dim mak dim mak techniques dim mak video dim mak videos dim mak death touch dim mak chart dim

Long Life, Good Health Through Tai Chi Chuan Posted By: Ray Lam.

The initial aim of Tai chi chuan is to teach the practitioners to relax. Relax does not mean to flop loosely around, but rather to use the body as efficiently as possible, with no muscular tension. The foremost requirement is good posture with relaxed shoulders, an upright back and firmly rooted stance. Tai chi chuan incorporates Chi kung exercises, which encourage deep breathing, improved blood circulation and greater efficiency of the body?s systems. On a mental level, the quiet concentration, required for Tai chi chuan brings a serene state of mind, in which the everyday stresses of life can be placed in their proper perspective. This leads to a more tolerant, even state of mind, and a calm mind is able to respond more quickly and effectively to challenges in any situation.

The most common of these accounts is that the founder was the Taoist monk Chan San Feng, who lived in the Sung Dynasty (AD 960-1279). The legend states that Chan San Feng watched a battle between a snake and a crane ten times its size. As the crane lunged at its prey, the wily reptile dodged and weaved, lashing back at its tormentor with relaxed lightning speed.taichi tai chi tai chi chuan tai chi exercise health fitness health and fitness

Which Is The 'deadliest' Style Of Martial Arts? Posted By: Matthew McKernan

It seems you can't get into a discussion about martial arts without someone claiming that the style they practice is the best. Of course this isn't possible, because at least someone else in the group either practices the best martial arts style or knows someone who does. If you go online you will find thousands of opinions on the subject. Each person claims they can prove that their style is the best. Like religion, martial arts practitioners defend their style vehemently and aggressively. This can be pretty confusing especially if you don't know anything about the martial arts. But no matter what your level of experience, it always comes down to one question: Which martial arts style is the deadliest?

Well, that is actually a trick question and it is often asked by people who are uneducated about martial arts. Anyone saying they teach or know the most deadly style of martial arts is a liar or they're very much mistaken. The truth is there isn't one martial arts style that is the most deadly and if there was don't you think everyone would be studying it?Martial Arts Self Defense Martial Arts Training Self Defense Training Teach Martial Arts Teach Self Defense Judo karate

Iron Palm Part 7 Posted By: Richard Clear

Continued from Iron Palm Q AND A With Sigung Richard Clear Part 6

Advanced methods include (but are not limited to) cotton palm, springy palm, fire hands (burning palm), Advanced No-distance hitting and universal energy palm. Also included are learning how to use a Yin palm to take energy out and the Yang palm to put negative energy in to someone. Also the delayed death touch and other advanced striking methods are in the advanced curriculum as well as more advanced methods of energy transference including being able to strike a person almost anywhere and have the strike travel through the opponent's body to an intended destination somewhere else inside them. Healing methods for many of the energetic strikes are included.

Skill tests include being able to hold three boards and break them all or only break any one or two together of the boards as chosen by the instructor and being able to break bricks and get different effects with the brick breaks.silat internal kungfu Pentjak Kuntao self defense iron palm

Iron Palm Part 3 Posted By: Richard Clear

Continued from Iron Palm Q AND A With Sigung Richard Clear Part 2

I started studying Dr Wu's system of Kung Fu in 1982 from one of Dr Wu's other senior students and then I began studying from Tyrone in 1984. As a result I began training Iron Palm in 1984. I was not really seeking out Iron Palm. I had not heard enough about it to actively seek it. Iron Palm and Dim Mak were simply a part of the Kung Fu training we received. Once I began training I was hooked on it for awhile and then when I saw the other skills that could be acquired I began to get more interested in Internal energy training and development and I have not looked back since.

Q. 4. From whom did you learn?

A. Over the years I have been fortunate and blessed to learn from quite a few teachers. However, my original and primary teacher for Iron Palm was Tyrone.

Q. 5. What kinds of advice did your iron palm sifu give you?

A. One of the interesting things about training with Tyrone was that he almost never had us break materials.silat kungfu Pentjak Kuntao self defense iron palm

Continued from Iron Palm Q AND A With Sigung Richard Clear Part 1

Tyrone also began teaching me the Iron Palm methods that Lee referred to as the Indirect Method and the All round method and more advanced instruction and other Internal methods not taught in the book but most of which obviously came from Lee because it was a natural extension of what Lee offered in his book. I also found out that parts of the book are intentionally misleading or only taught in part to stop people from fraudulently capitalizing on Lee's work. We were also taught simple ways to make our own training equipment from readily available items such as Phone books and duct tape. I trained external methods at first but my preferred methods are the internal ones in part because the more advanced Dim Mak, Dian-hsuhe and Chi Manipulation including healing methods can only be gained and mastered with the internal methods and Tyrone demonstrated these skills from the first day I began studying with him. I was particularly impressed with his ability to affect people from a distance and healing without touching methods.

Q. What are the similarities with other iron palm styles?

A.silat kungfu Pentjak Kuntao self defense iron palm

Open Hand Basics - Part 2 Of 2 Posted By: Richard Clear

Hit Like You Mean It

Hitting through the target is more commonly practiced in the West. The hit is much more effective when it is led by the waist and when the intent is to hit through the target. One example is to dive through with your body weight behind the strike. Pukolan and Hsing-I both strike this way. Another kind of hit is to slap through, hitting with the body weight and friction. This is how basic burning palm works.

Utilizing waist and knee power helps get the body into the strike. When done correctly, your hits will feel light and effortless, but the power exhibited on the enemy are heavy and with purpose. Master Guy Savelli insists that if a 200lb person whips with his body weight at 25 mph, the fingertips will strike with a force of 5,000 PSI. Although the front or back of the hand will hit with less force than the fingertips, the striking force remains considerable.

Utilizing knee power can be as simple as allowing them to relax and dropping your body weight. Add percussion to the hit with a simple kilap strike. These hits are typically dropped on pressure points.silat silat dvd self defense kung fu

The Incredible Six Inch Death Stick Yawara-jutsu Posted By: John Roberts-James

Yes, it's true! Yawara-jutsu is one of the old Japanese martial arts. One of its facets includes the use of a short, six-inch plain stick to strike ˜death and terror' into the opponent.

The ˜experts' will claim that it is used to jab kyusho or Dim Mak points resulting in severe shock to the system. This is only partly true. One hits vulnerable areas, it is true, but these are not necessarily surface ˜vital points'. They overlie deep nerves or organs which, if hit effectively, result in shock and bodily collapse. The same effect (almost) as when a footballer is accidentally kicked in the groin.

The stick can be held as a hammer, smacking down into a surface bone like the wrist. Or it can be ˜flicked' in a back-hand motion into say the teeth or the eye. Short and sharp somewhat like cracking a whip.

Probably its best use perhaps is holding at the middle, stabbing down like a knife into the neck or other target. Conversely it can stab upwards into the under-jaw. If then it is ripped forwards it could hopefully dislocate the jaw.

A more skilled use is in come-along holds and bone or joint breaks.self defence martial arts karatetsu yawara stick dog mugging
