Evaluate An Alternative Energy Source Posted By: Sherry Robert

Are we today running out of oil? No. Are we probably running out of affordable oil? We are undoubtedly running out of the inexpensive oil which has powered the global economy ever since the 1950s. Those of us who are accepting the reality have begun to explore in earnest for other alternative energy solutions. There seems to be a limitless number of technologies which could come to our rescue. However are all of them feasible? No. The exploring for alternative energy sources is a path full of technology potholes and politically inspired wrong turns. We need to make correct and informed choices. Can we do it? Yes we can. This paper is going to examine an alternative source of energy that can be used effectively and sustainable.

Bio-fuel as an alternative fuel
After analyzing the available energy sources, it is certain the Bio-fuel offers the most feasible, economical and sustainable source as an alternative to the current situation. Bio-fuel (agro-fuel) generally can be defined as liquid, solid or gas fuel that consists of, or is obtained from biomass.free essays free research papers essay help essay services research papers term papers term paper help custom papers custom essay buy researc

Diesel Engines Vs. Gasoline Engines Posted By: Dominic Donaldson

The Diesel Engine was invented by a man named Rudolf Diesel and among both internal and external combustion engines; the diesel engine is by far the most efficient.

Diesel engines come in two stroke and four stroke varieties and these were initially used as a very welcome replacement to the steam powered engines. Today many car manufacturers are more than happy to use diesel engines as opposed to gasoline engines - in fact, in Europe more than fifty percent of the cars sold had these types of engines in them. Diesel engines have always been popular among the larger vehicles like large trucks and off-roaders since the 1970s. Apart from that, they have also been extensively used in large sized generators since the early nineteenth century.

So what really is the difference between the two types of engine? The simplest answer is that they ignite the fuel differently - a gasoline engine would ignite the fuel via a spark, where as in a diesel engine the fuel is ignited via a combustion process of temperature and pressure.diesel engine

Cars For Sale - Best Fuel Efficient Cars For 2010 Posted By: Tis Amit

Over the last few years, the world has witnessed an emergence of numerous car models. It won't be wrong to say that today the level of competition has been increased and the market has got bombarded with different car models. Every new model being introduced in the auto market contains new features. Perhaps, today every car is acting as a luxury sedan and contains magnificent features that make it difficult for buyers to make a proper selection. However, the fuel efficiency has been one key feature that has always played a vital role in making the proper selection of a good car.
Today there are still many people who are looking for more economical and fuel efficient cars. In fact, if we carefully study the current scenario, the average person merely can't manage to pay for a vehicle that consumes to much fuel. Ultimately, the money spent in purchasing a car is more like an investment, and no body likes to make a wrong decision. That fact remains that along with the environment;best fuel-efficient cars fuel-efficient cars cars new cars used cars second hand cars

Electric Vehicles Also Help Reduce Our Dependence On Petroleum Posted By: Francisco Rodriguez Higueras

Car company's are going to keep producing the ICE. This is a given fact for the near future. Because the automobile market is so large and it's reliance on oil so complete, change will not be a quick process.

For especially large electric vehicles, such as submarines, the chemical energy of the diesel-electric can be replaced by a nuclear reactor. People will not change their mode of transportation overnight. Unless there is a clear proven alternative then the change will be slow. A key advantage of electric or hybrid electric vehicles is their ability to recover braking energy as electricity to be restored to the on-board battery (regenerative braking) or sent back to the grid. By that I mean a vehicle that everyday mom and pops use for everyday driving.

Electric vehicles are hailed as the next big thing. But does the average Joe really know a lot about them. What is the expected range like. Does an EV's range suffer when you really stick the boot in? Take it up a windy mountain road and will you be able to make it down the other side?electric vehicles

Will Travel? Some Conditions Will Stop A Minibus Posted By: Louise Slee

'Not rain, nor sleet, nor snow nor hail will keep this messenger from his appointed rounds.' This motto served the Pony Express over its 19-month life on its 1,966-mile route from April 1860. To a great extent, none of these circumstances, in moderation at least, will keep a minibus from reaching its destination. However, there are conditions that can and will stop a minibus. In practical terms, it makes sense to know the difference between what is comfortably possible and what is dangerously optimistic. Applying this knowledge astutely makes even more sense. Here are some tips for fulfilling your appointed rounds.

1. Plan your minibus journey carefully. Even when a tachograph is neither legally required nor necessary, you, your minibus and your passengers have limits. How far can you, it or they travel in a given time? There's a distinction between being hopeful and being overconfident.

2. Have your minibus serviced. Regular, expert servicing can make the difference between arriving unfazed and a trip home on a low loader. This is especially important when a long trip is planned. Don't be tempted to skimp or make do.

3. Check your tyres.minibus minibus insurance

How Does The Various Items Of A Diy Photovoltaic Solar Powered System Perform Togther? Posted By: Joe Maurer

There are ten different components that make up a solar powered generating system. Depending on what type of system you want to implement will depend on whether you use some or all of them.

Just to emphasize that point. For example, we talk about having a diesel generator as a back-up system, but you don't to have to start off with one, and you can add it at a later date if you think it is necessary.

PV Solar Panels

These solar panels face the sun and convert the suns energy into power. Unfortunately, they produce DC power, so we have to change this to AC power. You can connect as many panels as you like together, this is called a solar panel array.

They are connected in series so the flow of electricity is from to the next one in line. With this design, it is very easy to add more panels as and when you build them.

DC (Direct Current) Disconnect

The energy you produce flows to the DC disconnect. It is important if you want to do some maintenance on your system as it switches on and off the flow of electricity to your solar powered system.solar electricity solar panel build a solar panel cells

A Review Of The Citroen C2 - A State Of The Art Car Posted By: Roger Thurston

The hatchback market in Europe has seen a flurry of activity with the introduction of new models of cars from major manufacturers like Ford, Renault, Hyundai, Citroen, Volkswagen and the like. However, Citroen emerges the clear winner in the 'supermini car' market with efficient Citroen C2. Motor critics have written extremely positive reviews about this car, which won the "European Hatchback of the Year" Award in 2003.

Citroen has made this car using inputs from its parent company, PSA Peugeot. The Citroen C2 effectively replaced the Citroen Saxo, which was quite similar to the Peugeot 106 model. Assembly line production of the C2 began in 2003.

The C2 is a two door mini car with state of the art electronic control systems. Citroen and Peugeot, in collaboration with each other, have devised a couple of new techniques that make the C2 stand a class above the other cars in this market. The C2 remains one of the most fuel-efficient cars in Europe, thanks to its 'Stop and Start' technology. This system stops taking power from the engine once the driver applies the brake pedal to almost bring the vehicle to a stop.citroen ni

Aixam Cars - For An Emission Free Motoring Experience! Posted By: Tony Philip

Value creation through innovation and continuous improvement has always been the motto for AIXAM Mega. AIXAM Mega's history is not very old and it was founded in the year 1983, in France. Unique front bonnet is typical to AIXAM cars and highlights an interesting fact about their history. AIXAM carried out their manufacturing operations in an old Arola factory, which was forced to shut down its operation after it failed to make profit. It is believed that AIXAM cars were a hybrid of the same.

In the beginning their major focus was on developing micro cars. In the beginning their major focus was on developing micro cars, but from the year 1992 they stepped into a new genre, making medium size vehicles. Year 2002 saw AIXAM cars entering in LUV's (Light Utility Vehicles) section. It is worth mentioning here that AIXAM cars were not only exploring new opportunities through market expansion but their perpetual technological advancement played a major role in establishing their market value. One can easily observe their commitment towards research and development in the fact that they currently manufacture latest cars with all kinds of engines (i.e.Aixam cars cars drivers motor

3 Most Likely Options For Carbon Free Cars Posted By: Jerry McCain

It is inevitable that before too long, using traditional fuels such as petrol and diesel to power cars will not be an option. Not only is there growing concern over the use of these fuels having an extremely negative effect on the environment, but it is also true that supplies are drying up in many parts of the world and costs are going to steadily increase. We humans are an innovative bunch though and have been working on alternatives for many decades. Some of the options that have been developed are more feasible than others and here is a breakdown of the three most likely to succeed.

Battery Powered. Cars that have been powered by batteries are nothing new, but they are never really worked well enough to be a practical solution for everyone. The closest people have come to making a decent car with batteries are hybrid cars, and these of course still rely heavy on combustion engines. However, as batteries become more efficient, lighter and easier to charge, they are becoming more suitable for traditional car usage and could be a great option in future.

Hydrogen Powered.cars auto alternative fuels eco hydrogen

More Motorists Runnings Cars On Water Posted By: James Larkin

An increasing number of motorists around the world are running their cars on water. They are fitting DIY conversion kits that use water to produce hydrogen in the form of HHO.

The result is their fuel consumption is greatly reduced, they reduce running costs and get improved performance.

The hydrogen conversion kits work on gas or diesel powered cars, vans, trucks, and SUVs. The conversion is safe, fast and easy to do.

All that is needed is a conversion manual. The parts for the kit can be purchased for less than $100 at local hardware and auto stores.

The system is easily reversible and does not void auto manufacturers' warranties.

The high cost of fuel worldwide has encouraged sales of the hydrogen car conversion kit. In the beginning interest was mainly with individual car owners but now large vehicle owners are taking advantage of the high fuel savings offered by the hydrogen conversions. The expanding market includes truck and fleet owners who can halve fuel costs and sustain profitability by installing the kits.

Prices of instruction manuals vary and the best deal I've seen on the internet is $67.motorists cars conversions hydrogen water

The Engines With A ' Posted By: lowmileageengines

Toyota and Volkswagen are two established automobile companies. Let us look at each of these in detail. Toyota Camry was launched in 1983 by Toyota by replacing the older rear wheel driver version of Corona with the front wheel drive Camry. This car was specifically designed targeting US market. Toyota Camry was introduced as a V6 four cylinder engine with high build quality, comfortable drive and stability. Apart from the basic DX model, this is also available in more sophisticated versions like LE, SE and XLE.

2008 Toyota Camry is one popular mid segment car that is available in four models, basic model, LE, SE and XLE. Basic model Toyota Camry engine is a 2.4 liter four cylinder with 158 hp and 161 pound feet of torque. This model has five speed manual transmissions and gives fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon within the city and 31 miles per gallon on highways. On the other hand the LE, SE and XLE models of Toyota Camry engines are supported by a 3.5 liter V6 engine powered by 268 hp and 248 pound feet of torque.
