Legislators Want Congressional Hearings On Vaginal Mesh Safety Posted By: Katie Kelley

House Democrats called for congressional hearings on vaginal mesh products made by Johnson AND Johnson, stating that this device is harmful to patients.

New Primary Process Is Hurting Republicans Posted By: Mark Etinger

Changes in the primary process, coupled with the tidal wave of dirty money unleashed by the Citizens United Supreme Court decision have made this year's primaries wildly entertaining. There is a debate or a primary every week! Increasingly, however, it seems that the drawn out primary process is hurting Republicans and creating tension in the party.

With Santorum's renewed momentum it seems that there won't be a Republican presidential candidate until well after Super Tuesday. That leaves about eight months to campaign against the incumbent President who has already started campaigning. The confusing mix of winner-take-all, delegate split, and no-delegate primaries makes it difficult to gauge a candidate's popularity.

The hostility of the Republican primaries is also giving Democrats'ammo to use against Republicans, not only in the presidential election, but also in state races. Every gaff on the part of a Republican presidential hopeful hurts the party as a whole and Republican popularity is being badly battered. Republicans need to be saving money for the presidential race, not wasting it on the primary.

The desire to elect the most conservative candidate is one of the biggest mistakes the party has made.free bargains saving money freebies

Americans Increasingly Favor Gay Marriage Posted By: Mark Etinger

Good news came for marriage equality supporters with the Federal District Court's ruling to overturn Proposition 8. The court declared the law unconstitutional, as it unfairly discriminates against gays and lesbians for no reason. California has been a battleground state on the marriage equality issue for over a decade and this final turn in the drama is almost guaranteed to bring the case before the United States Supreme Court.

Gallup polls say for the first time in the country's history, over 50% of Americans support the right of gays to marry. The majority is slim, coming in at around 51%- 54%. Although it is deeply divided among partisan lines, with Democrats supporting marriage equality at 33% higher rates than Republicans, it is more distinctively split along age lines. 70% of those under 30 are supportive of marriage equality while only 39% over 55 are. It clear that those who stand in the way of marriage equality are aging out.

The world of celebrities includes many gay marriage supporters. The list includes Miley Cyrus, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Anne Hathaway and Mary J. Blige, just to name a few.scandal entertainment daily entertainment celebrities celebs news movies sports music tv

Washington State Lawmakers Pass Gay Marriage Bill Posted By: Nick Kunkka

Washington state lawmakers voted to approve gay marriage Wednesday, setting the stage for the state to grow to be the seventh in the country to permit same-sex couples to wed.
The action comes every day right after a federal appeals court declared California's ban on gay marriage unconstitutional, saying it experienced been a violation within the civil rights of gay and lesbian couples.
The Washington home passed the expenses on the 55-43 vote. The state Senate authorized the assess final week. And Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire is expected to sign the assess into law next week.
Democratic Rep. Jamie Pedersen, a gay lawmaker from Seattle who has sponsored gay rights bills in the home for a number of years, mentioned that although he and his companion are grateful for the rights that exist below the state's current domestic partnership law, "domestic partnership is in fact a pale and inadequate substitute for marriage."
Pedersen cited Tuesday's ruling through the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals throughout his remarks on the home floor.Gay Marriage Bill

Senate Democrats Say Obama 'reinforced' His Stance On Contraception Mandate At Democratic Retreat Posted By: Nick Kunkka

President Obama "reinforced" his stance on the controversial contraception mandate although speaking at the Democrats' yearly retreat at Nationals playground in Washington, D.C. today, Senate Democrats said.
The retreat was closed to media.
Following President Obama's speech at the retreat, a small party of Senate Democrats, for the most part women, left the retreat earlier to be able to hold a news conference on Capitol Hill to counter the Republicans' news conference these days at which they known as for the mandate for being overturned.
Democrats mentioned they will "fight strongly" to retain the mandate in place.
"It is our obvious understanding through the administration how the president believes as we do, as properly as the huge majority within the American women should have access to birth control," Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., mentioned pointing out that 15 percent of women use birth manage for medical issues. "It's medicine, and women deserve their medicine."
Democrats these days known as on Republicans to stop using women being a "political football," and stop defining this debate, as Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., did earlier in the day, being a religious issue.Senate Democrats

Civil Wars Threatening The West And America Figuratively Speaking Posted By: Julie Thompson

Civil wars are threatening the West and most viciously in America figuratively speaking. The shooting has not started but the pre-positioning has. Without a shot being fired inevitable conclusions are drawn. These are survival wars straining at the framework of the nation knowingly and unknowingly.

The restructuring of the states is happening because of hoarding of wealth thanks to the victory of the West and America after the end of the Cold War. It has led to increase in wealth and freedoms creations as inevitably happens.
But the trouble started when those who were seeking benefits became heavier than those who created it. This was the tipping point. It let loose de facto class wars something that automatically occurs under such conditions. The result is collapse without fail. After some years of pain again productive balance of hierarchy will be restored.

Each planned move by the Obama government and the majority comprising of the Democrats has been to swell the role and size of the government in relation to the economy as well as the society while simultaneously decreasing the limits, the controls and the position of the private sector.foreclosed homes

Home Wind Generator: Three Pros Posted By: Roger Brown

The home wind turbine is a powerful concept for reducing your energy expenses at your house. As it becomes less and less a cause c AND eacute;l AND egrave;bre among the cocktail party intellectuals, wind energy is becoming something popular with the masses and a terrific way for everyone - Republicans and Democrats - to lower their costs of electricity at home.

There are three major advantages of the home wind turbine:

First, even if you only make a little bit of electricity with your home wind turbine it is the good offset to your increasing power consumption. What I mean by that is, every year we add devices to our homes the consume increasing quantities of electricity. Electronics dominate our lives anyway but the entire consumer free-market is bent on adding to, and not taking away from the number of electronic devices we all have on our person at any given time. So, by employing a home wind turbine you can at least quell the tide of this increasing electronic onslaught by manufacturers worldwide.

Secondly, the home wind turbine is conceptually very easy to understand. It is a technology that a kindergartner can describe after one explanation.home wind turbine

Making Our Massive $15 Trillion National Debt Real And Understandable Posted By: Bruno Korschek

No matter how you measure our national debt, in absolute dollars, in dollars as a percentage of GDP, government spending as a percentage of GDP, etc., our Federal government spending is out of control and getting worse. It has been particularly devastating and out of control ever since the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress after the midterm elections of 2006. Another way to look at our $15 TRILLION national debt is to actually see it written out:

     $15,000,000,000,000

That's a lot of zeros. Since it is our national debt and all Americans are going to have to pay it off at some point in the future, the personal household share of $15 TRILLION comes out to about $132,000 for each household. Think about how you are going to work that new expense into your household budget this year.

And remember, the $15 TRILLION is not a fixed amount. Under the long term, 10 year budget Obama proposed back in the spring, a budget that was unanimously rejected by the Senate, under the most optimistic assumptions Obama's proposed budget would add another $9 TRILLION on top of the $15 TRILLION.obama nationaldebt deficit spending trillions politicians

88 Reasons Why President Obama Is Unworthy Of A Second Term Posted By: Bruno Korschek

After observing and analyzing the first three years of President Obama's time in office, I have come to the conclusion that the country cannot endure, heal, or grow if he is allowed to serve a second term. His behavior and results, as viewed from many different perspectives, have come up short relative to facing, addressing, and resolving the major issues facing America today. On each of those issues, America is not better, and on many cases worse off, then we were three short years ago.

In fact, I have easily identified 88 reasons why the Presidency of Barack Obama needs to end after one term. Those 88 reasons are listed below in broad categories or syndromes. These syndromes capture his way of thinking, his approach to his duties in office.

It is unlikely that these failed approaches will change any time soon. If they were to change, we would have seen those changes already. Thus, not only his first three years been a failure, there is no indication he will break out of these syndromes and somehow miraculously change his approaches to problems and challenges in the future.president obama reelection pelosi rangel medicare taxes

Salesmen Rule Posted By: Scott F Paradis

Every few years we engage in an extraordinary ritual of grand political theater - a government sale. The electorate gets to entertain the salesmen. The ultimate power game is on. At the end of the fracas the people ceremoniously hand the reins of power over to the slickest, the most engaging, the most promising salesmen of the lot. In a democratic state the best salesmen rule.

Currently the Republican field is pressing the flesh in earnest looking to sell their wares to apprehensive buyers. They continue to test and refine ideas to secure favor with party fundamentalists while holding would-be opponents at bay. The winner in the skirmish for the nomination then ratchets up the rhetoric to face off against the powerful incumbent rival.

The Democrats meanwhile, not distracted by the preliminaries, are busy building the ultimate sales machine. Intent on leveraging an idealistic sales force Democrats are seeking to exploit technology focusing influence on an unprecedented scale.

The Democratic presidential election apparatus must, however, overcome some tough hurdles: flagging job approval ratings (46%), stubbornly high unemployment (government manipulated figure hovering around 8.6%), and stalled gross domestic product (GDP) growth (around 2%).political theater sales machine mass manipulation smooth talking salesmen another sale soon government sale closing the deal return on investment what

The Constitution And The Rule Of Law - Mere Suggestions For The Obama Administration Posted By: Bruno Korschek

A recent article from the Wall Street Journal reviewed how dangerous Newt Gingrich could be if elected President relative to the laws and legal processes in this country. The article reviewed some of his extreme views and opinions on how to fix the American legal system, fixes that would appear to eviscerate the Constitution and place much too much power in the hands of the executive branch of government. His intentions, as described in the article, would eliminate the best institutional protections of freedom and liberty in this country available to its citizens, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
His views, if correclty captured by the article, could get any American to thinking about how the current resident of the White House, President Obama, has also not been very friendly to the Constitution and the rule of law either.obama constitution fast and furious rule of law libya

Could Cutting The Red Tape Stimulate Employment? Posted By: Nick Jervis

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has recently unveiled new plans to cut the red tape that keeps regulators "breathing down the necks of small businesses". In addition, these plans are a deflection to the attacks from some members of the Conservative Party, who describe the Liberal Democrats as "red tape wielding zealots". But what is Mr Clegg proposing and what effects will his plans have on employment growth?

Culture Change.

At the heart of Mr Clegg's proposals is a culture change within Government. He proposes that company inspections should be limited to a bi-annual timetable and that on-the-spot inspections should be scrapped altogether. In addition, he is asking HMRC, the Environment Agency and the HSE to also loosen their regulations to "liberate small businesses from the grip of red tape." His aim, he says, is for regulators to: "...intervene where necessary, offer advice and support, but otherwise let you get on with it." Also included on his red tape 'hit list' is the obligation for shops to hold a Poisons Licence if they sell kitchen de-scaler and the necessity for pubs to fill in large numbers of forms if they want to hold small music events.red tape small businesses small business growth employment employment law solicitors

Presidential Candidates Focus On The Wrong Issue Posted By: Scott F Paradis

With tens of millions unemployed or underemployed, with debt building, and prosperity for most citizens receding attention is riveted on the economy as the central issue of the 2012 presidential campaign. The presidential candidates for their part, in the time-honored tradition of patronizing the electorate, address symptoms instead of causes of a deep and debilitating malaise. The economy is a symptom of what might most accurately be termed a collective mental illness. The candidates, reinforced by entrenched interests, those vested in the status quo (financial, political and media elite), persist in focusing on the wrong issue.

We have created a system that is impressive in its ability to take from the middle classes to placate the poor and ingratiate the rich. Through politics and finance we have fashioned a cage hard-working Americans seem incapable of escaping from. Our current economic and political system is a soaring tribute to greed and corruption and the best we get from supposed and aspiring leaders alike are delusions of change.

Promises have become a type of currency used to buy trust and in turn secure the ultimate prize: power.concentration of power collective mental illness focus on the economy broken promises promises used as currency national malaise republic to survive r
