The Delkim company was created by two well known carp anglers and bait developers from Kent called Del Romang and Kim Donaldson, after converting friend's Heron and Optonic bite alarms they decided to form a business and brought together their names to form the name, Delkim. The most famous bite alarm is probably the Optonic manufactured by Efgeeco in the early 1980's, these indicators were the first to use a roller system and revolutionized the way carp anglers fished, they could fish all night without the need to reset the bite alarm and the Optonic also indicated drop back bites too when used in conjunction with a monkey climber or hanger on the line.
