What Are You Going To Find On Your Scouting Camera? Posted By: Gregory Wadel

Now days a Scouting Camera can dramatically improve your hunt, if thats what your using it for, you would not beleive how far the technology has come with the different kinds of scouting cameras out on the market today.

A game trail camera, scouting camera, or wildlife game camera as they are most commonly known as, can give you fascinating insight into the movements of the wildlife or game you might be hunting, as well as trespassers on your land, they tell much more than what you think.

Here are some reasons that a Scouting camera may help you, first off the trail cam is on duty year round, in any condition to give you time to do other things than just being in the woods scouting for your next hunt, don't get me wrong I love being in the woods but I must attend to other things such as family and work.

Another advantage to trail camera is it keeps the area free of so much traffic from people, if your roaming around in that area everyday scouting your game what do you think it's going to do to your area, that's right.trail camera scouting camera wildlife game camera

7 Common Kinds Of Ticks Posted By: danica

There are several kinds of ticks spread all around the world, but the most typical ones include black-legged ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, lone star ticks, Rocky Mountain Wood ticks, Gulf Coast ticks, as well as winter ticks.
Several types of ticks are actually bringing illnesses to their human and pet hosts. These ticks adhere firmly to the pores and skin of the host, suck blood, or even stay on the skin undetected while feeding slowly for numerous days. This gives them enough time to transmit various diseases to their hosts, including humans. To help you identify ticks, eliminate them, and avoid yourself from getting contaminated with the diseases they carry, you need to be aware of the following well-known kinds of ticks:
Black-legged ticks
These ticks are also referred to as deer ticks. They've dark-colored legs, long mouths, and they measure around one-third inch long. Females, which have red bodies, are typically bigger than males which have black color or brownish bodies. Black-legged ticks are generally seen in grassy, woody, and also shrubby locations particularly in North-eastern, South-eastern, and also Midwestern states.Lyme disease ticks Lyme ticks Lyme Lyme disease

How To Find Whitetail Deer Antlers Posted By: Joseph Long

Like most species of deer, male whitetail deer (bucks) shed their antlers once per year for the purpose of growing new antlers. This process typically takes place after the mating season, between the months of January and April. Finding their sheds is both fun and rewarding and has become quite popular among people of all ages. If you're planning on hunting for whitetail sheds, follow these tips to help ensure your next outing is a success.

What You Need

One of the great things about hunting shed antlers is that you don't need any expensive gear or weapons. A few things that you should bring with you, though, is a backpack to store your finds in, proper clothing for the weather, and binoculars. If you're planning on searching a lot of ground, you may want to bring a GPS with you as well.

When To Go

As stated earlier, whitetail bucks lose their antlers between late winter and early spring, so this is going to be the key time of year to go looking for sheds. If you too early, you run the risk of spooking the deer and scaring them off the hunting grounds.antlers whitetail deer whitetail antlers

What To Do In The Lake District & Cumbria Posted By: Emma Harltey

Having just re-visited the United Kingdom for a week I had time to visit one of my all time favorite places in the UK. The Lake District is one of the most pretty and traditional areas of England, it is a favorite spot for adventure, countryside views and a real English experience. The food is good, the people are welcoming and there is endless things to do and places to see.

Situated in the North West of England, Cumbria is a large area with the Lake District National Park to the South West of the county.

The Lake District is made up of numerous lakes, mountains and traditional villages all unique to there own. This post is to guide you through the most visited places throughout the Lake District and things you would not want to miss when visiting.

Bassenthwaite

Starting from the North of the Lakes is Bassenthwaite, one of the largest of the lakes in the National Park. It is home to to the vendace fish, a rare and endangered species found only in Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater.

There are no towns around this lake but is a popular spot for sailing boats.lake district cumbria keswick ambleside windermere ambleside

Hotels South Beach Miami And Tours Miami And It's Time To Visit Posted By: Miami Tours Operators

Don't forget your camera because if you happen to see a 14-foot alligator, which is pretty unlikely, you are going to want evidence of it. Alligators are only found in America and China. The Chinese alligator is smaller than the American alligator and they are almost extinct in China so your best bet to see an Alligator in its natural habitat will be in Florida and the United States. Alligators will most likely be your main focus but keep your eyes opened for some of Florida's other wildlife like: whooping cranes, bald eagles, egrets, osprey, and endangered snail kites. Miami has tropical weather and thus, fishing is possible throughout the year. Along with the marine life, there are over 80 parks and gardens in the city. Miami is also considered as a hot spot for dance and music.

There are many music festivals organized in Miami which attracts a large number of musicians, singers, actors, dancers, and orchestral players along with all this, Miami has a number of museums, theaters and the other entertainment venues. Thus, if you plan for fish Miami Beach, you can experience much more than just the fishing.Miami attractions Miami tours miami tours attractions

4 Most Rare & Amazing Animals In Spain Posted By: Emma Harltey

Spain has some wonderful wildlife, some you may have heard of many of the species, such as the endangered Lynx but you maybe a little surprised by other native species known to be living in Spain. Been a huge nature and animal lover myself I want to share with you some of Spain's endangered animals that have found Spain to be the perfect living and breeding ground but need our help and understanding for them to survive.

The Spanish Lynx

Has to be mentioned as the Lynx is still listed as an endangered species due to the difficulty of breeding and complications that these animals can have when raising the young.

The drop in numbers throughout the 20th century was due to disease outbreaks of myxomatosis in the 60's and a viral haemorrhagic disease in the 90s which devastated rabbit populations in Spain and thus the Lynx's food chain was ruined.

Numbers have grown though in the past 10 years to a much more positive number. In 2000 there was only 100 of these animals left but with careful monitoring and conservation the number has risen to some 300 animals been reintroduced.rare endangered species spain lynx brown bear wolf iberian

Dropped: Project Alaska, A Special Interview With The Brothers Of Backcountry Quest Tv Posted By: OHubPR2011

Chris and Casey Keefer are passionate about two things; professional sports teams from Pittsburgh and hunting. It is of course hunting that has made the two brothers of Backcountry Quest TV most widely recognized in the outdoor industry. Having known these two for quite a while now (we are from the same hometown) I can attest that they are the same in person as they are on TV. Both are incredibly driven, passionate about what they do, committed to helping others, they love their families, and they love to have fun. When hunting, these guys will do whatever it takes to get in range of a big buck or a shy longbeard. They are not afraid of a challenge and yet seek perfection in all they set their mind to. As brothers, they are incredibly close.
It came as no big surprise to me that Chris and Casey chose to do Dropped: Project Alaska. If I were to pick a pair to undertake an adventure like this it would certainly be them.outdoors survival alaska hunting telivision wildreness food

A Hunters Expo Gets You Outfitted For Outdoor Adventure Posted By: Art Gib

As soon as the fall season hits, hunters everywhere feel the tickle in their blood: the crisp, clear air, the scent of fallen leaves, and the desire to have a freezer full of venison, elk, or other wild game to feed your family for the winter. But if you're not ready by fall, it's too late. The time to find the best deals, sample all the latest technology, and swap stories with fellow outdoor adventurists is in the summer when you attend your favorite hunters expo.

A hunters expo caters to people who appreciate the bounty of the earth. Hunting isn't about taking all you can grab, and most hunters are responsible, generous men and women who work hard to practice conservation and safety. But does it take away the thrill of the hunt? Absolutely not. Bow hunting, fishing, and shooting are all represented at an expo, but you can also find paintball gear and other sports gear available.

Humans used to hunt extensively for food, and some species of animals were hunted almost to extinction.hunters expo

Deciding If Animal Removal Is The Right Answer Posted By: Adrianna Noton

There are many types of pests that can create a problem for people. Some of these pests require specialized animal removal training, and others you can deal with yourself. However, it is important to be informed as to what you are dealing with, and what the options are.

If your problem is with domestic animals on your property, you are legally allowed to trap these animals and turn them in to the local animal shelter. Humane traps may be rented from the shelter in many cases, for catching feral animals. However, you must release any wild animals that you accidentally catch in the trap, back into the same area.

Feral cats can be a problem in some areas. You are allowed to trap these cats and take them to the animal shelter, however they are almost certain to be euthanized there, as they are not adoptable. In some places, the shelter will spay or neuter and vaccinate feral cats for free, if you are willing to re-release them onto your property. Spayed and neutered ferals are less likely to fight, will not have kittens every few months, and can be less of a problem all around.home family society extermination services improvement management health animals business

What Do Sheep Eat? Feeding Sheep The Proper Way Posted By: Chris M Hill

Sheep are largely grazing herbivores, unlike browsing animals such as goats and deer that favor taller plants. With a much narrower features, sheep crop plants very close to the ground and can overgraze a grazing land much quicker than cattle. What do sheep eat? For this purpose, many shepherds make use of managed intensive rotational grazing, where a herd is rotated through multiple pastures, giving plants instance to recover when feeding sheep. By troubling the natural state of meadow, sheep and other livestock can pave the way intended for all-encompassing plants.Paradoxically, sheep can both cause and solve the increase of enveloping plant species.

However, sheep as well favor to munch invasives such as cheatgrass, grassy spurge, kudzu and blemished knapweed more than native species such as sagebrush, making grazing sheep efficient in support of conservation grazing. Research conducted in Imperial County, California compared lamb grazing with herbicides for weed control in sprout alfalfa fields. Three trials demonstrated that grazing lambs were solely as helpful as herbicides in controlling winter weeds. Entomologists furthermore compared grazing lambs to insecticides on behalf of insect control in winter alfalfa. In this trial, lambs provided insect control as effectively as insecticides. What Do Sheep Eat Raising Healthy Sheep Raising Sheep

A Natural Homemade Diet For Your Pet Dog Or Cat Posted By: Dr Renee O'Duhring

THE NATURE OF THE WOLF (OR LION) If you were to put a small child in a room with a banana and a bunny, it is very likely they would eat the banana and play with the bunny. If you were to do the same with a cat or dog, I can guarantee they would make a very different choice. Our pet dogs and cats are instinctively carnivores. The cat is in fact an obligate carnivore, meaning they must have a very high percentage of meat in their diet to function in a healthy, vital manner. Dogs can handle a higher percentage of plant matter in their diet than cats, but they still require a large proportion of animal tissues, including meat, organs and bones, in order to thrive. THE PERFECT CARNIVORE Both cats and dogs have the anatomical and physiological make-up of a carnivore. In fact, cats are sometimes described as 'the perfect carnivore' as their whole being is geared for hunting and consuming prey. They are genetically extremely similar to their wild counterparts, and their digestive tract is geared to eat a natural prey diet similar to their wolfish or wild cat ancestors.Holistic Vet Natural Diet Homemade Dog Food Cat Food Pet

Uses For Goat's Milk Posted By: Destry Masterson

It's usually not too smart to consume too many dairy and animal products because of the cholesterol content, foreign DNA, and pathogens. However, there are instances when goat's milk can come in handy.

One of these is for little babies. Human babies are in need of milk for nourishment, however, sometimes, the mother is unable to breast feed due to death or a physical condition.

You would never really want to give a baby cow's milk, because studies show that children under two will be prone to diabetes if given cow's milk too early in age.

Cows are much larger than humans, while goats are closer to the size of humans. Many mothers have been able to successfully feed their babies with goat's milk without a noticeable detrimental effect.

In fact, many species of animals cross feed other species in times of crisis where the mother is killed and the particular baby of a certain species is abandoned and needy.

Dogs have been known to nurse baby kittens and visa verse. Deer have nursed puppies, and there are many other combinations in nature where the mothers of various species help babies of other species.Milk Health Nutrition
