The Walking Dead Premiers Halloween Night Posted By: Alberto Stellpflug

(1888PressRelease) The new and upcoming show "The Walking Dead" is highly anticipated by fans of the comic book which the show is based on. It has been announced that Frank Darabont will be working on the show as a writer and producer.

He has worked on blockbuster films such as The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile in the past and now plans to devote his talents to the new AMC series which premiers Halloween of this year. The October 31st beginning to the show is appropriate considering the content of the show.

Based on the zombie comic book series by Robert Kirkman, the new AMC series will be centered around the lives of a troubled group of survivalists trying to make it in a world filled only with zombies and the ruins of what was once the world as they knew it. The names of all the actors playing each character in the show have been released as well. Andrew Lincoln will be starring in the show as Rick Grimes, a police officer and the leader of the zombie resistance. His partner Shane, played by Jon Bernthal, also plays a central role in the show.walking dead walking dead forum the walking dead series

A Dvd Review Of The Shawshank Redemption Posted By: Dominic Donaldson

There are no shortage of contenders for the title of greatest film of all time and many film theorists would say that a decision such as this should not be left to the public, however it has been and the public has spoken and this article offers an expert review of the IMDB top film of all time, the Shawshank Redemption.

The Shawshank Redemption is generally a film that ranks up on most top ten lists and I find myself questioning why. Could it be the slow baritone pace of the narration, or the feel good finale where the system gets beaten? The truth is the film is grotesquely historically inaccurate and unbelievable, however soothing and entertaining in places.

The brutality of the prison is superficial and the crude representation of institutionalisation throughout is garish. Freeman gives his stock performance whether he is playing the president, god or a criminal, he seems to be the acting equivalent of a Volvo, nothing special but you know what you are getting.DVD review dvd shawshank redemption dvd

Directed by Frank Darabont. With Tim Robbins, Morgan

The film portrays Andy[Tim Robbins] spending nearly
two decades in the cruelty of Shawshank State Prison,
a fictional penitentiary in Maine, and his friendship
with Red [Morgan Freeman], a fellow inmate. It is
frequently ranked amongst the greatest prison movies
of all time.

This story starts in 1947 when a young banker,Andy,
gets convicted of murdering his wife and her lover
on mostly circumstantial evidence.Andy is shipped

up with Red, who is a clever supplier of contraband.
Eventually Andy and Red become friends but Andy is

Indiana Jones Returns - Too Little, Too Late? Posted By: James Shenton

For those who came of age in the 1980s during a time of sleek consumerism and homogenous globalization, Indiana Jones was something of an idol. Harking back to a time when the jungles of South America and the Pyramids of Egypt were truly a world away, the Indiana Jones trilogy excited in us a feeling of adventure that has been rarely seen before or since.

The popularity of the Indiana Jones movies stems not just from the fact that they were directed and acted by some of the greatest Hollywood talent of the day, but also from the fact that the movies were classic adventures. They were swashbuckling epics that found an ideal mix of adventure, intrigue and mystery, steeped in myth and mysticism.

This formula was clearly successful. The first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, was the highest grossing movie of 1981 and was nominated for eight Academy Awards (of which it won four). The following two instalments, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, fared almost as well, each winning an Academy Award and grossing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since 1989, though, all has been quiet on the Indy front.Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark Temple of Doom The Last Crusade Harrison Ford George Lucas
