Kanyakumari is a very famous tourist destination and travelling around Kanyakumari is relatively easy. There are many modes of travel available, and buses, auto rickshaws and hired vehicles are the most preferred ones.

Bus
Buses in Kanyakumari are the preferred local mode of transport, and these tend to be quite crowded normally. Buses are also the cheaper mode of travel, as bus fares will range around Rs 4 to 10, depending on the distance involved. You can opt for buses provided you know the routes beforehand, and you are well aware of your destination.

Auto Rickshaw
Auto rickshaws in Kanyakumari do not run on the meter, and drivers will normally quote rates that are exorbitant. You can anyhow obtain information about the fares from the locals and bargain for a good margin. Auto rickshaws can help you travel around Kanyakumari in a faster way, and fares will range around Rs 20 to 60, depending on the distance covered. There are no separate night charges, and travelling through an auto rickshaw is relatively safe, so make sure that you catch an auto ride during night time.KANYAKUMARI hotels budget hotels in KANYAKUMARI hotels in

Kanyakumari (tamil Nadu) Posted By: mukesh

The rich history and the cultural heritage of Kanyakumari is one of mixed culture and profound heritage. The city of Kanyakumari have been around for thousands of years as it has been the city of culture, history, arts, economy and the hub of civilization for centuries. In Kanyakumari, you can find instances of many religions like Islam, Christianity, or Hinduism easily. Its mixed heritage of the city has called out for many people for pilgrimage that has been going on for centuries.

The city of Kanyakumari with its southern coast to the vast and the powerful Indian Ocean impressed the British so much, that they decided to rename it to Cape Comorin to accentuate its beauty. Kanyakumari (Cape Comorin) represents all the beautiful things that India has to offer the world. You can find many temples, churches, religious pillars and statues that will keep the head spinning. It is a place of mixed culture that is reflected in the arts, buildings and even in the food. You can have an excursion to the Kumari Amman Temple or to the Vattakottai Fort that stands erect even today.KANYAKUMARI hotels budget hotels in KANYAKUMARI hotels in

History Of Kanyakumari Posted By: mukesh

According to Hindu legend, Kanya Devi, an Avatar of Parvati, was to marry Siva, but as he failed to show up on his wedding day, the rice and other grains meant for the wedding feast remained uncooked and remain unused thereafter. As the legend goes, the uncooked grains turned into stones as time went by. Some believe that the small stones which look like rice on the shore today, are indeed grains of the wedding that was never solemnized. Kanya Devi is now considered a virgin goddess who blesses pilgrims and tourists who flock the town.
According to another Hindu legend, Lord Hanuman dropped a piece of earth as he was carrying a mountain with his life-saving herb, Mrita Sanjivani, from the Himalayas to Lanka (Sri Lanka) during the Rama-Ravana war. This chunk of earth is called Marunthuvazh Malai, which is literally translated to "hills where medicine lives".This is said to be the reason for the abundance of unique native medicinal plants in the area. Marunthuvazh Malai is located near Kottaram about 7 km (4 mi) from Kanyakumari town on the Kanyakumari-Nagercoil highway.KANYAKUMARI hotels budget hotels in KANYAKUMARI hotels in

ATTRACTION OF KANYAKUMARI
Thiruvalluvar Statue,
If you are looking for magnificence along with a monument that reams at you with cultural heritage and history then Thiruvalluvar Statue is definitely one of the best things that you must see in your visit to India. It is a symbol of greatness that stands 133 feet tall (38 feet is the height of the pedestal) Thiruvalluvar Statue weighs just a little bit more than 7000 tons and more than 500 craftsmen or workers have worked in its construction. Thiruvalluvar Statue was designed to be a beacon of art for the whole humanity. Thousands come every month to see this great work of art and culture.
Padmanabhapuram Palace,
When you think of palaces then perhaps besides England with its famous palaces, the second place that comes into the mind is definitely India. Padmanabhapuram Palace is one of these many palaces that symbolize the rich and diverse cultural heritage of India that has been around for many centuries. However, what is interesting about this palace is the fact that Padmanabhapuram Palace is made entirely from wood and not any other substance.

The Control Proteins Cyclin And Cyclin Dependant Kinases Posted By: john

One of the most important functions any cell can do is the reproduction of itself, identical down to the finest degree. The process that achieves the basic necessity of life itself is called the cell cycle and is a highly controlled / regulated process. This process is divided into two stages; the first is the interphase stage which has four distinct phases [1-5]. The second stage is the cell division stage and this consists solely of the cell mitosis. Starting at stage 1 the cell is usually at rest or in a condition where no replication is occurring, this is referred to as the G0 phase. When a cell receives an external trigger to divide the cell moves into the G1 phase, here the cell will accumulated nutrients and molecules necessary for the construction of all the components of a new cell. Cells use this material to increase in size to accommodate the new material and to generate sufficient cell membrane so a division can occur. The G1 phase has control mechanisms to recognize the successful completion of all necessary components of this phase [6-8].kinasesProtein tyrosine kinases
