Targeting An Enemy Leader In War Posted By: Skip Conover

Hearing Moammar Gadhafi and Admiral Michael Mullen comment on CNN on March 20, 2011, suddenly brought to mind the image of British Red Coats during the American Revolution. You remember those masters of outmoded military etiquette, who thought it was right to have their men march into battle shoulder to shoulder wearing bright red coats, whilst their officers rode horseback behind, confident in the custom of war that said that the enemy would never intentionally aim at the officers, because if the officers were killed there would be chaos on the battlefield.

This morning Colonel Gadhafi said, "We are not worried. We are not afraid."

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said to CNN's Candy Crowley, Gadhafi is "more and more isolated internationally than he has ever been. AND hellip; Over the long term we expect to see more and more pressure to be put on him."

Why is Gadhafi so confident? It appears it is because we have this antiquated value that we won't attack the leader of an enemy state. Please understand that I am not suggesting that the United States adopt a policy of assassination of enemy leaders in general.Marquis of Queensbury Rules Tomahawk Cruise Missiles Assassination and Genocide Pan Am 103 Victims Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Micha

Top Tips For Preparing A Winning Cruise Ship Job Application Posted By: Neil Maxwell Keys

It is important when seeking a job in the cruise industry to do lots of research.

The Internet is a great tool with lots of information available for the job hunter. You need to learn how to apply, where to apply, what jobs are available, and what skills or experience are needed for the jobs onboard.

When doing your research, determine which job appeals to you. Don't just send in an application for "any position available". The cruise line will think that you are only doing this for "fun" and they probably won't take your application seriously.

Instead always begin your resume or application with your job objective clearly defined. In other words, let them know right away what position you're applying for.

For example, if you want to go and work on a ship in the onboard duty-free gift shops, then you will state this job objective at the beginning of your cover letter and at the top of your resume. The same applies for Bar Tender, Social Host, Dancer, Hair Stylist, etc. Do not put "any", you must be clear and right to the point.cruise ship jobs cruise line jobs cruise lines cruiseliners employment ships cruise jobs work on a cruise ship cruise ship jobs uk cruise shi

Is This The 'secret' To Getting A Job On A Cruise Ship? Posted By: Neil Maxwell Keys

The cruise line industry can be a TOUGH industry to get into, make no mistake.

In fact, I sent off 25 resumes before I heard so much as a whisper when I first started applying to work onboard a cruise ship. And I know people who took over a year and several interviews before they got their job.

The people who eventually land their 'dream job' of working on a cruise ship, are generally the ones who persisted the most. These people did not give up at the first sign of rejection - they kept on applying - no matter how many knock-backs they got.

Here's one such great example of persistence that I'd like to share with you. It's an email I received a few weeks back from a girl who proved to be one of the most determined people I've come across so far.

After many, many months of trying, applying and even flying (she once flew to Belgium for an interview!) and MANY rejection letters received - she finally got her 'dream job' as a Purser for Carnival Cruise Lines.cruise ship jobs cruise line jobs cruise lines cruiseliners employment ships cruise jobs work on a cruise ship cruise ship jobs uk cruise shi

Is Working On A Cruise Ship Really For You? Posted By: Neil Maxwell Keys

Okay, so you probably know what a cruise ship looks like. You might even know what facilities it has onboard and the typical countries cruise liners generally visit. It's likely that you also have an idea of what type of job you'd like to do onboard. But is this lifestyle really for you?

It's all too easy to get sucked into thinking about all the great positives of life working and living onboard a cruise ship, but not thinking carefully enough about the life-changes you will have to make in order to live a happy and fulfilling life at sea.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself to determine whether or not you're really cut out for this type of lifestyle. The questions cover 'worst case' scenarios you you can think through how you would cope in each situation. Of course, you may never experience any of these situations, but it's much better to know in advance what you might come up against, so that you're mentally prepared for the life that awaits you.

Take A Short Vacation On The New York Dinner Cruise! Posted By: May Stern

A New York dinner cruise is the perfect break for someone who is just too busy to take a holiday. Savoring scrumptious food while sipping fine wine and enjoying the soothing breeze and breathtaking view along the Hudson and East Rivers. What can be more heavenly?

A dinner cruise starts by being escorted onto a luxury cruise ship or yacht about an hour before the ship is set to leave port. You may take a leisurely walk around the deck, or visit the shops that are on the ship. Or simply laze around and sample the cocktails and exquisite appetizers served throughout the ship.

Different dinner cruise operators may take you on different routes. The one that I went on recently cruised the Hudson and East Rivers, offering a mesmerizing view of some of Manhattans most famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, Chelsea Piers, Brooklyn Bridge and the World Trade Center Site.

Dinner on the New York dinner cruise is sheer indulgence. Rest assured that you will never be disappointed with the wide array of gourmet tastes.cruise New York dinner cruise NY dinner cruise travel tour holiday vacation
