Buying Gold Bullion Coins Posted By: Mark Thomas Walters

In the current financial climate of weak currencies, inflation and general insecurity, many investors and ordinary families are turning to a reliable and time-tested form of wealth preservation - gold bullion coins. They feel better if some of their savings are in the form of gold, rather than cash, bonds or other paper promises. They also want to actually have their wealth in their hand - really in their possession.

So, what are gold bullion coins? How much do they cost? And, where can you get them from?

A century ago, gold coins were used as standard currency in many countries, and were in general circulation. As an example, the USA used to use quarter eagles, half eagles, eagles and double eagles. These are now sought after by collectors, having last been issued in the 1930s. After gold coins ceased to be circulated in the 30s, there was then a gap of a few decades before they were again re-issued. However, as gold had by that time become so valuable, the coins that made up the re-issuing were not entered into circulation as a standard form of currency.gold bullion coins gold coins gold personal finance finance hobbies

How To Begin Your Own Coin Collection Posted By: Art Gib

While I was working at a frozen yogurt joint some years ago, I occasionally received exotic coins from my customers while I was acting as their cashier.

Many of them, as you might guess, were simply from Canada or Mexico, but I recall receiving a five-cent piece from Barbados, along with a few other bits of currency from far off countries.

Through my mistaken encounters with foreign coins, I learned the appeal of coin collecting. This age-old fascination has come so far and caught the fancy of so many people because, unlike some types of collecting, it is neither time-consuming nor too costly.

First, you should make some kind of decision regarding what types of coins you wish to focus on. There are special albums that aide in the display of cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollar, and dollar pieces.

If you think you may be interested in multiple categories, then you can easily purchase coin collecting supplies like albums, folders, and archives for several types of currency at a local hobby store or online through a specialty shop.coin collecting supplies

Whatever your dreams are, selling e-books and software with resell or master resell rights can help make them a reality! But what if you are not a savvy internet marketer? Well, eBay is an easy and great place to start. It is also a great source of supplemental income even for seasoned resell rights marketers.

But, with increased competition on eBay among e-book resellers, an effective strategy is a must have to continue to grow your e-book business effectively. Don't ever let the seemingly low prices and the thought of resell rights saturation discourage you from reaping large financial rewards.

I have been selling e-books and software on eBay for 3 years now and have developed and refined 7 tried and true tactics that will allow you to resell e-books for up to 10 times the price of your competition.

The secret is in the listing title! Below are 7 ways to maximize your traffic, conversion and profit using smart listing strategies.

A Man Of Silk Ties Posted By: patrick

On a life long excursion beginning at eleven, a chance meeting with an enquiring sheep farmer would change the direction of two young endearing business partners. My friend Victor and I were in the process of removing another copper cistern ball from a sheep trough, when caught in the act by the owner. After a brief rebuke he made a thoughtful suggestion, embarking on this led to a long and profitable relationship with Mr Lonny and his neighbouring farmers and carved out a path in na¯ve business ventures. Thus began a great learning of the principles of life and livelihood.

Fate
Mr Lonny had explained that after a sheep has died the wool on its back is still a valuable commodity and can be easily plucked once the skin has decade suitably enough. His daily duties meant that this time consuming constant chore was largely left undone. Dead sheep were scattered across the paddocks and wool wasting away in the sun and wind. He instructed us in the finer points of extracting the raw textiles and cautioned us on matters of hygiene.fashion accessories designer silk ties cufflinks silver wallets london clothing vivienne westwood

How To Buy Gold Bullion Posted By: Ethan Luke

There once was a time when the only gold available for purchase were large 400 ounce bars, chunky nuggets, or lumpy coins. The best way to authenticate its value was biting into the piece. Fortunately, the times have changed and so have dental plans. Now there is an incredible variety of gold bullion in the form of cold coins and bars yielded from numerous countries and mints all around the world. You can now buy gold bullion bars as small as one gram or a 20th of a troy ounce, but purchasing in such small amounts is not financially practical. To get the most bullion for your buck, you need to understand exactly what gold bullion is and the best ways to buy it.

Precious metals in bulk form, such as gold, are known as bullion. Gold bullion can be minted into either gold coins or bars of various types, sizes, and weights. Bars come in a variety of sizes and weights from as small as a gram to 1,000 kg bars. When bought, all gold comes at a price and a premium over the market price, which changes daily.Gold Bullion

Tips On Handling Coins Safely Posted By: Niyaz K

Keeping coins safe and in good condition is just as important as finding and/or buying them in the first place. Most of the time, coins aren't just a straight piece of a metal. They are nearly always a combination of multiple metals (the amount of metals like gold and silver can affect the overall value of the coin) and are composed a way that might be hard to maintain. For example, pennies aren't straight pieces of copper, nor are they straight pieces of a combination. Pennies starting from 1982 are actually a zinc core with a covering of copper. Meaning, if mix an acid that only corrodes zinc, you will be left with a shell of copper. This change was made because of the varying prices of zinc and copper.

One of the most important things to remember is to not wash coins too many times. Really the only time a wash is appropriate is when you give a light wash when first examining the coin, as circulated coins have passed through many hands and come in contact with a large variety of different objects and places.coin collecting hobbies currency us coins numismatics rare c

Popular Us Coins To Collect Posted By: Niyaz K

Believe it or not, coin collecting is actually becoming a very popular hobby. It's definitely not as popular as sports like basketball and football, but coin collecting has actually managed to create a subculture of sorts among the American population and around the world. In fact, collectors prefer some coins to others, sometimes because of price, sometimes because of ease. The most popular US coins to collect tend to be the ones we see most often and last the longest.

By far, US dollars are the most popular among collectors. The rarest US dollars also double as the world's most valuable coins. Morgan dollars, dated 1878 to 1921, are some of the most sought after coins that are still at a reasonable price range. The oldest US dollars collectors look for are called Early Dollars, and they are dated 1794 to 1804. Needless to say, these coins are some of the most expensive. They can cost over $100 without any problem. Some reach around $1000 with competition in the bidding process, and a select few rise up to over $50000.coin collecting hobbies currency us coins numismatics rare c

Finding The Value Of Old Coins Posted By: Niyaz K

When people find coins, they do one of two things: place them in their collection or get the value of the coin and attempt to sell it to other collectors. Usually, getting the value of a coin is complicated. You have to factor in the year of the coin, how many scratches it has, if there are any errors (and if those errors happen to be rare), and any mint marks on the coin. When it comes to older coins, it gets even more complicated because bullion values, demand, rarity, and various design values start coming into play.

First off, the only safe way to finding the value of old coins is to bring it into an expert collector who has been examining the markets for a very long time. Only he/she will know exactly which marks give what value, which years are more valuable, or how special a certain error is. The tricky part about determining value is to believe not what you would pay for it, but what others would pay for it. It's very easy to both over and underprice coins by not understanding this concept.

A very popular factor is rarity, especially in old coins.coin collecting hobbies currency us coins numismatics rare c

Where To Find Rare Coins Posted By: Niyaz K

Some people want to shoot for something that's a bit more fun than the regular circulated coin collection. This is where finding rare coins comes into play. Since rare coins, well, are so rare, coin collecting takes on a new degree of interest and excitement. However, finding these rarer coins gets increasingly more difficult depending on the coin that you're after. These are just some simple ways to find rare coins without having to travel around the world to track one down.

A great way to find rare coins is to take advantage of the fact that owner's probably don't know how rare they are. Try some local flea markets. Chances are that the owners know that there's something special about these coins that might be able to rake in a few more cents than face value, but don't quite know that it might mean much more than that. These are very easy buys. Likewise, you can hit local shops that happen to purchase coins. Some antique and pawn shops will buy these guys, but it's not guaranteed. Check with your local businesses.coin collecting hobbies currency us coins numismatics rare c

How To Start Coin Collecting Posted By: Niyaz K

While it may seem difficult at first, coin collecting is actually a very simple hobby that can get quite interesting at times. Many beginners don't really know how to start coin collecting because there are so many different currencies and so many ways of categorizing them. On first glance, the only way to start coin collecting is to get every single coin on the planet. However, starting simpler can be done in a matter of minutes.

A very popular way to start coin collecting is by collecting circulated Jefferson nickels. These guys come in 40-coin rolls and can be purchased at $2 apiece from nearly every place that can break a dollar. Start by buying 80 circulated Jefferson nickels. This will cost you a simple $4 to get started. Wash them out, but not too roughly. Sort them by decade, and then by year. Pick out the best one of each year. You're looking for the one that looks the newest. Whatever's left is still worth five cents, so you can go ahead and throw it in your wallet if you'd like.coin collecting hobbies currency us coins numismatics rare c

American Eagle Gold Coins: Recommended For Beginners Posted By: Niyaz K

Are you a beginner looking to collect some United States gold coins, and possibly even learn a bit more about the history of the United States? Look no further! The American Eagle gold coin is a great place to start. These guys are universally recognized as freshly minted and of US origin. If you haven't much experience in the collectible field, you can really learn the ropes of collecting gold coins and coins in general. If you're already well on your way in collecting coins, and you're looking for yet another beautiful coin to add to your collection, try the American Eagle.

Selling the American Eagle gold coin is actually easier than trading gold bars. Bars are already in high demand, but they end up adding wait times and extra costs if you want the assay certificate, which guarantees the legitimacy of the bar, but the American Eagle gold coin doesn't need that extra time and money. The assaying process is really no problem. They're also non-reportable because the government is backing each transaction of these coins. Gold investors turn towards these American Eagles to invest rather than having to report.gold coins coin collecting numismatics investing stock gold

The French Rooster Gold Coin: A Popular Way To Get Into Bullion Posted By: Niyaz K

The French Rooster gold coin was supposedly first minted in 1901, and the release of this coin continued until 1914, the start of World War I. However, there are actually some that exist dating from 1899. Today, this gold coin is still one of the most beautifully designed coins in history, with many gold investors and coin collectors, both French and otherwise, looking to own one of these admirable pieces of gold.

Although not a coin that contains the most pure gold in the world, the French Rooster contains 90% pure gold, which equates to something between 20 carat and 22 carat. The coin seems to be worth for not only its millesimal fineness (carat value), but also its designs and age. The coin contains the motto of the French Revolution, "Republique Franaise", laying around the third Republic lady. When you flip it, you will see the Gallic Rooster, which is the national French emblem after serving as an image of vigilance and confidence, with "Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite" (translates from French to Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood). Thess two signs of French nationalism demonstrates the strength rooted inside the coin.gold coins coin collecting numismatics investing stock gold
