Top Reasons Why You're Not Getting Pregnant Posted By: Charles Oakley Jnr

Many individuals and couples are often left struggling with pregnancy. It's something that they desire but yet they can't seem to make any progress or break through. It's important to be able to understand the processes at work and why you may not be enjoying the kind of success that you have been looking for. Here are some of the top reasons why you may not be getting pregnant.

1. Having Sex at the Wrong Time: Getting pregnant is all about being able to fertilize the egg, which means that you have to be having sex during ovulation when this is possible. Sex at any other time won't enable you to get pregnant, therefore it's of the utmost importance that you have sex at the right time. Learn to track the monthly ovulation cycle and take advantage of your chances when they come.

2. Not Having Enough Sex: Of course in order to be having sex at the right time you need to be having enough sex to begin with. If you only have sex once in a while, you simply aren't giving yourself good odds of getting the job done.pregnant pregnancy ivf ivf treatment alternative ivf treatment getting pregnant why cant i get pregnant

Is There An Educational Value To The Zoo? Posted By: Sara Ferguson

I am a very active zoo visitor; I often go more to a zoo in a week than most people do in year. In all my zoo visits I have learned that animal behavior isnt limited to across a watery moat, steel fencing, or glass window. It goes on everyday in the crowds of visitors which come to the zoo. There has always been an ongoing argument about the educational value of the zoo compared to the animal suffering in the cages. An argument which, of course, wont be solved here but will give you a lot more to the think about in the end. Yes, I do agree with all those that say, Animals should be free in the wild. I do not feel that we have the right to lock up animals for our own use in this manner. Animals like humans in prison will and do develop mental problems, behavior usually gets worse over time, and nothing good come out of it. In all my years of going to the zoos I have found few people get any educational value from the visit.zoo zoos zoological conservation aquarium wildlife endangered animals animals wildlife zoo opinion educational

Good Uses For An Electric Blanket And What You Shouldn't Do Posted By: Andy Zain

If you use an electric blanket in the winter it will keep you warm and toasty. If you are pregnant you aren't suppose to use an electric blanket because of electro magnetic shock. Studies have shown that using this blanket while your in your first trimester can cause harm to your unborn child. If you are going to sleep make sure your blanket is on low because it can catch on fire. To make sure you and your family is safe always keep your blanket on low while you are sleeping. To warm your bed before climbing in it, turn it on the setting you want it on, but never leave the home with it on.It is wonderful to turn your blanket on and have your bed warm before you climb into bed to sleep. This saves you from climbing into a cold bed. Electric Blankets are not very much money and are worth the price. You shouldn't put an electric blanket on a child that cant talk because it can cause them severe burns and by the time they cry it could be too late.electronic blanket electronic blankets blanket

Astrology For Cancer Sun Sign Posted By: Donna Page

In astrology Cancer is symbolized by the crab; remember the Crab has a very tough outer shell to protect its juicy tender meat. Many times the Cancer portrays such a tough exterior we never get to experience the soft sensitive side. All astrologers know that Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which represents the ever changing emotional tide.

Sometimes when the Cancer child was growing up she experienced a sudden fear of being abandoned that set up a thought that it is not safe to let go. It usually is a harmless situation but had impact a child. It could be an event such as mom or dad needing to check on something in the garage during a massive thunderstorm with a power outage that left the scared Cancer child alone, afraid and unsafe. Or temporarily getting disoriented or lost in a crowd; surrounded by unknown territory and strange people. Healing the fear of being abandoned is critical for the Cancer person.

One of the main karmic lessons for Cancer is learning when to let go.astrology astrolgers sun sign cancer cancer astrology astrology cancer

Still Not Getting Pregnant, Don't Know Why, Here's A Guide On What To Do Posted By: Jack Heys

If you have been engaged in sexual intercourse for over a year and are still not pregnant, the doctors describe the situtation as infertility.

Women unfortunately at a certain age, usually mid thirties, have the extra problem of fewer eggs being produced and a weaker estrogen production. She is then in the position of needing to make sure she does every little thing correctly.

A man is affected too as he gets to the mid thirty point, both his sperm count and quality are starting to go down. His testosterone levels may also be reduced.Sadly this is part of life and there is no getting away from it.

The first thing you need to do is buy a test kit to allow you to know when eggs are about to be produced by the ovaries. This gives an indication of the best time to engage in sexual intercourse but is by no means infallible. Follow your menstrual cycle and at about the 11th day - read the instructions with the kit and do exactly what it says.not getting pregnant pregnancy cant unable infertile

Could You Be Immune To Your Partners Sperm? Posted By: Iva Keene

When you contemplate having a baby the first thing that springs to mind for most people is the reproductive system. You may think of your hormones, egg and sperm quality and ponder some of your lifestyle habits. But the one thing that may never cross your mind is your immune system.

What has your immune system got to do with pregnancy?

Everything!

Your immune system is your guardian angel. Its role is to protect the inner sanctum from the outside invaders such as bacteria, viruses, worms and fungi. And, to destroy cancerous cells, deformed cells, repair cell walls, heal wounds, cuts, breaks, sprains, infections and on and on it goes.you cant live without it: literally.

You have probably heard of the fallen angel, a once good angel gone bad? Well this too can happen to your immune system. Rather than fighting off real threats and dangers, it can turn on harmless substances such as pollen, food, bees, animals, your own body tissue and sperm.

Hygiene Hypothesis

The immune system is like a small child. When its young it needs to learn the ropes, needs to distinguish between what it should and should not attack.natural fertility sperm antibodies antisperm antibodies immunological infertility

Meet The Most Important Mineral For Your Fertility Posted By: Iva Keene

Zinc is the most important mineral and antioxidant in pregnancy and preconception. It is required for foetal growth and development of muscles and bones. It reduces the risk of stretch marks, perineal tears, cracked nipples and it is necessary for immune function and brain formation.

82% of pregnant women world wide are deficient in zinc

A study found that 82% of pregnant women world wide are deficient in zinc. Low zinc levels in pregnancy have been linked to labour complications, low birth weight and premature delivery.

Fertility in men

Zinc is very important nutrient for male fertility and deficiency has been linked to low testosterone and low sperm count and motility. Sperm contains up to 5 mg of zinc per ejaculation, so it is very important for men to keep up their zinc levels. Studies have shown that zinc has been implicated in testicular development, sperm maturation, and testosterone synthesis.

Fertility in women

In women zinc plays a role in sexual development, ovulation, and menstrual cycle. Concentrations of zinc and folate may have substantial effects on reproduction. Zinc is also required for production of healthy eggs in women.natural fertility can't get pregant infertility ivf icsi miscarriage sperm abnormalities

How To Harness Negative Emotions To Nurture A Fertile Mindset Posted By: Iva Keene

Emotion = energy in motion. Each emotion has a frequency and a wavelength.emotions

This is why dogs can sense your fear and growl at you or can sense your sadness and nuzzle you to make you feel better.

Like anything that emits a frequency, emotions require energy.

That valuable energy is coming from your energy reserves. Some unpleasant emotions (sadness, anger and rage) can actually help us grow and teach us a lot as long as we know how to harness them.

Lets look at some common negative emotions in turn:

Sadness can be a therapeutic emotion if we allow ourselves to express it. Crying can be very cleansing; it removes old painful emotions and memories.

Here is what Clarissa Pinkola Estes wrote about tears and crying in her beautiful book: Women who run with the wolves:

Tears are rivers that take you somewhere. Weeping creates a river around the boat that carries your soul life. Tears lift your boat off the rocks, off dry ground, carrying it downriver to someplace new, someplace better.(C. Pinkola Estes)

Anger and rage are very powerful emotions.natural fertility can't get pregant infertility ivf icsi miscarriage sperm abnormalities

7 Steps To Boost Your Sex Life Posted By: Iva Keene

Getting scientific about sex in the name of procreation can take out all the fun out of making babies. Nature intended it to be fun and pleasurable.

Orgasms are amazing immune boosters and stress busters. They do wonders for the pelvic region, infusing the area with fresh oxygen and nutrients.

During orgasm your feel good hormones: endorphins are released. Studies have shown that endorphins can increase pain tolerance by 70%. These feel good hormones can alleviate fear, anxiety, headaches, period cramps and promote a feeling of deep relaxation and wellbeing.

Endorphins are not the only hormones that get released during sexual climax.

Studies have found, a steroid hormone DHEA, gets released shortly before climax in several times the normal quantity. DHEA promotes glowing skin, boosts immune function, improves brain function, supports the cardiovascular system, fat metabolism and even has antiageing properties! Who wouldnt want some of that?

Other three hormones (among others) which get released as a result of an orgasm are serotonin, oxytocin and estrogen.

Serotonin is another feel good hormone shown to reduce cravings for alcohol, cigarettes and junk food.

Oxytocin boosts trust and feeling of closeness to your partner.natural fertility can't get pregant infertility ivf icsi miscarriage sperm abnormalities

Alcohol, Cigarettes, Caffeine And Pregnancy Posted By: Fern Joseph

This is a very important section of the pregnancy avoidance textbook. I have listed it as things as I do not know what to class cigarettes as other than killers! Ok, dont get too cross with me if you are a smoker, but it really is a dangerous addiction to have, let alone expose a developing baby to them.
Here goes:

1. Alcohol is a bad one and you should try and avoid it as much as possible. Drinking alcohol when pregnant can have adverse affects on your unborn baby and excessive drinking while pregnant can cause Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, symptoms of which are a smaller than average head, poor coordination, learning problems and deformed facial features. One to two units of alcohol a week are said to be fine, but don't exceed that limit. Remember that Alcohol also dehydrates you and this is very important for maintaining plump healthy cells throughout you and your babies forming body.

2. Cigarettes! I cannot stress this enough and I am an ex smoker.Alcohol caffeine cigarettes baby pregnant mother

Eating Dairy Can Make You Infertile Posted By: Iva Keene

There is something fundamentally odd about humans consuming dairy. Just think about it. We are the only species on the Planet that drink another mammals breast milk!

Breast milk, be it human or cows is designed for the young one of that species for a limited period of time, before they can eat sold food, period.

In this article we will examine why this beloved, popular food can be so detrimental to your fertility.

We stop producing the enzyme lactase as small children (between ages 2-5). This enzyme helps break down lactose, the major sugar found in dairy products.

Lets look at some stats on lactose intolerance:

- 75% of adults world wide are lactose intolerant
- 30-50 million Americans are lactose intolerant
- 80% of African-Americans are lactose intolerant
- 75% of Native Americans are lactose intolerant
- 90% of Asian-Americans are lactose intolerant

When you eat dairy and you are lactose intolerant your gut becomes inflamed. This increases mucus production in the digestive system. The mucus prevents other nutrients from being absorbed. Excessive mucus production can also occur in the nose, lungs and reproductive system.natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment

What You Need To Know About Sperm Antibodies Posted By: Iva Keene

20% of all cases of infertility are due to mutual infertility, and 20% due to unexplained infertility. Combined, that's nearly half of all the cases of infertility!

If the woman is ovulating, doesn't have blocked tubes, hormonal imbalances or other reproductive system conditions, and, the man has normal sperm parameters, what's the problem?

Why can't they get pregnant?

1. Presence of sperm antibodies
2. Toxic mucus
3. Food intolerances

The first test you should consider is a post-coital test. This test will show how many sperm are still alive after intercourse in the woman's reproductive system.

If the woman has sperm antibodies in her mucus, or has overly acidic mucus due to toxin overload in the body then the sperm will not fare well and their minutes (not days) will be numbered.

Channels of elimination

You see, your body will rely on all possible channels of elimination when it comes to getting rid of toxins. They are mostly mucus and discharge producing organs such as the nose, lungs, skin, kidneys, gut, vagina and penis.

This is where detoxing comes into the picture. Each couple, regardless of whether you are infertile or not should consider detoxing before conception.natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage sperm antibodies

Your Eggs And Sperm Can't Live Without This Wonder Oil Posted By: Iva Keene

Imagine building a house without some of the essential materials. Well it simply wouldnt work, it would be leaky, drafty, insufficiently insulated, and would probably collapse during the first storm.

Our cells are no different to a house. They all have a blueprint (DNA) and are meant to be constructed according to the plan. However when the body makes a request for a particular nutrient to complete the cell construction, it gets a message that the reserves are empty or being held only for the key organs, needed to keep you alive.

One of those essential nutrients are Essential Fatty Acids: Essential because our body cant make them, so we need to get them from food. Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are necessary for;

- Normal brain and nervous system function
- Visual acuity and cognition
- Hormone and prostaglandin regulation
- Healthy placental growth
- Brain and liver development in the foetus

The central nervous system starts to develop 21 days after conception; because of this it is essential that the mothers reserves are optimal before conception.

EFAs are also very important for;natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment

Don't Nuke Your Eggs And Sperm With These 10 Steps Posted By: Iva Keene

Fertility experts recommend in the four months preceding conception, to avoid even low levels of radiation and once pregnant, women are advised to continue avoiding all forms of radiation.

Why and what does this mean?

The planet, lightning storms and even our body produce electro magnetic radiation. A bit of EM radiation is required for good health and reproduction.

However, strong electro magnetic radiation can damage living tissue and cell structure. Radiation is drawn to the cells with the highest growth and division such as sperm and ova and the growing fetus.

Computers, laptops, air travel, wifi, microwave ovens and cell phone towers are sources of electro magnetic radiation (EM). Dr. Neil Cherry from Lincoln University wrote an extensive report in April 2000 on physical and psychological damages caused by long term exposure to EM. He presented this report to European Parliament. Based on Dr. Cherry's findings some European governments have advised citizens to use hands free phone attachments and not to carry cell phones close to the body.

EM radiation has been found to contribute to development of certain cancers as well as miscarriages, infertility, sleep disorders, depression and nearly 50% reduction in Melatonin at night.natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment

How To Stay Fertile Longer? Posted By: Iva Keene

According to American Fertility Association a womans fertility begins to decline in the late 20s, drops more sharply after 35 and plummets when she hits 40. After the age 30, the probability of getting pregnant naturally drops by 3%-5% per year and even faster after the age of 40! A healthy 30 year old woman has 20% chance of getting pregnant in any given month, by the time she turns 40 the chances drop to 5%! But do not throw in the towel just yet! There is hope. What these studies did not tell you is the reason why the fertility is dropping with advanced age.

Women are born will all of their eggs while men start producing their sperm in puberty. We have had those eggs around for a long time and everything we have ingested or inhaled or smeared on our skin over the course of our life has either left a positive or a negative mark on all body cells including the eggs and sperm.natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment

How To Eat Yourself Pregnant And Boost Your Fertility With Diet? Posted By: Iva Keene

In the first trimester of the pregnancy the developing embryo increases 20 million times. In the first 8 weeks of pregnancy your babys blueprint has been laid down.

To ensure that during this phase all the foundations are laid down properly, you want to make sure that there are plenty of building blocks in a form or nutrients and no toxins and nasty bacteria and moulds which could infect the embryo and cause severe damage which could result with malformations or a miscarriage.

The Bad Guys

1. Salmonella bacterium can cause Salmonellosis which exposes the mother to the high risk of miscarriage or preterm labor due to severe high fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration.

2. Listeria monocytogenes bacterium can cause Listeriosis which can lead to premature labour, miscarriage, stillbirth or the baby can develop the condition after birth which can be serious.

3. Toxoplasma gondii parasite can cause birth defects if contracted in the first trimester of the pregnancy. It can be found in the feaces of cats, birds and other animals and soil. Wear rubber gloves when handling soil in the garden and wash your hands and shower to remove all traces of it.natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment

What Common Drugs And Conditions Could Be Slashing Your Fertility? Posted By: Iva Keene

Unless your doctor informed you about it the likelihood of you knowing which common drugs and conditions could be suppressing your fertility is probably very small.

Drugs

Anabolic steroids: are used to build muscle and can interfere with testicular function.

Antidepressants: are used for depression and can negatively affect the ability to ejaculate, disrupt menstrual cycles and lead to birth defects in the first trimester.

Antibiotics: are used for bacterial Infections and can disrupt ovulation/cervical mucus production.

Anti anxiety drugs (diazepam, alprazolam): are used for anxiety and have been linked to increased risk of birth defects.

Cold and flu meds with antihistamine: are used for allergies, cold and flu meds and can thicken or dry up cervical mucus making it very hard for sperm to reach the egg.

Accutane: is used for acne and can lead to severe birth defects.

How To Boost Progesterone Naturally? Posted By: Iva Keene

Low progesterone is a primary cause of miscarriages. According to a study 753 infertile women participated in 62 percent had low progesterone, which was found to be the main cause of their infertility.

Progesterone aka pregnancy hormone needs to be at the optimal level for pregnancy to be maintained.

Progesterone deficiency is characterized by PMS and short cycles and is often referred to as a luteal phase defect.

What does this mean?

Luteal phase is the post ovulatory phase characterized by increased progesterone production which is also called the secretory phase. During this phase corpus luteum (the left over of the burst follicle which released an egg during the ovulation) is producing progesterone, which is preparing the endometrium (the inside lining of the uterus/womb) for implantation, should the egg become fertilized.

If there is not enough progesterone being produced to sustain implantation pregnancy is unlikely. This can also be attributed to abnormal thyroid function. The thyroid gland regulates your metabolism and plays a key role in fertility.

How does this lead to infertility?natural fertility cant get pregnant infertility prevent miscarriage fertility treatment
