Muharram Posted By: Sazz

Muharram (Arabic) is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year in which fighting is prohibited. Since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.
Muharram is so called because it is unlawful to fight during this month; the word is derived from the word haram, meaning "forbidden". It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. Some Muslims fast during these days. The tenth day of Muharram is called Yaumu-l 'Ashurah, which is known by Shia Muslims as 'the day of grief'.
Many Sunni Muslims fast during this day, because Musa (Moses) and his people obtained a victory over the Egyptian Pharaoh on the 10th day of Muharram; according to them Islamic prophet Muhammad asked Muslims to fast on this day, and also a day extra either before or after, so that they are not similar to Jews (since, according to him, Jews used to fast for one day due to the same reason).
Fasting differs among the Muslim groupings;Muharram martydom Imam Hussain(A.S) Karbala

Qadi Noman Posted By: Ibrahim

"Qadi Noman was a renowned Ismaili jurist in the Fatimid court. He espoused Ismaili faith early in life at Kairwan. His association with the Fatimids however began with his entry into the services of Imam al-Mahdi since 313/925. During the period of Imam al-Qaim, he concentrated mainly in the study of history, philosophy and jurisprudence and composed numerous works. Prior to the death of Imam al-Qaim in 334/945, he was appointed as a qadi. His status was further promoted during the time of Imam al-Mansur when he was granted the rank of Chief Qadi (qadi al-qudat). He however reached his zenith in the time of Imam al-Muizz. Qadi Noman was greatly impressed by Imam al-Muizz's appearance and writes that he was struck by "the refulgence of the Imamate from his countenance."

When Imam al-Muizz ascended, Qadi Noman felt his post dwindled and wrote a letter to the Imam. He got Imam's reply, which he had quoted in his al-Majalis wal Musayarat. It reads: "O, Noman, may God protect you. I have read your letter. I regret that you are not sure of my patronage, and are trapped in fear unnecessarily.mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism microfinance United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journalism in Middle East Jour

Panjtan-i Pak Posted By: Ibrahim

"Panjtan-i Pak (the Blessed Quincunx), Ashbah al-Khmsa (the five shadows) or Ashab al-Kisa (persons of the mantle) is a term coined for the five holy bodies, i.e., the Prophet, Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussain. They were created out of the substance of Illiyyun (Bihar al-Anwar, 25:10). The Koran (83:18) says, "Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the highest places (illiyyun)." The word illiyyun is the plural of illiy or illiyyah. It is derived from the Hebrew elyou meaning the highest. These five holy bodies were conceived in their mystical dimension as being a Light that God created before the creation of this universe. The Light descended in turn upon Adam and then upon each of the prophets until it became embodied in five holy bodies.

According to Bihar al-Anwar (25:24), "When God created Adam, the father of mankind, and breathed His spirit into him, Adam looked to the right hand side of the empyrean. There he saw five figures in the form of silhouettes. He asked: "God, have You created any one from the dust before me?" God replied: "No.mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism microfinance United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journalism in Middle East Jour

Mujizah Posted By: Ibrahim

The word mujizah is derived from ijaz meaning inability, referring to the miracle. The Koran exhorts miracles in a threefold sense: the sacred history, in connection with the Prophet, and in relation to revelation. The threefold sense of the miracle corresponds to the three meanings of the word aya (pl. ayat), which indicates the verse of the Koran as well as the miracle of it and the sign, particularly those of creation. The term aya is often followed or replaced by its nominalized qualifier, bayyina (pl. bayyinat) i.e. a clear sign, a designation which underlines the relation between miracles and the Koran, which is itself qualified as bayan (clear, evident or speech). The sense of astonishment and wonder, which the concept of miracle evokes, may be rediscovered in the term ajab, a word used with regard to the attitude of humans, positive or negative when faced with the supernatural. The prophetic miracles are called mujizah, while the miracles ascribed to the saints are termed karamat or karishma.

Thus, mujizah or the miracle is such an occurrence which ordinary reason is unable to comprehend or accept it.mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism microfinance United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journalism in Middle East Jour

Chief Wazir Kassim Ali Hasan Ali Javeri Posted By: Ibrahim

Period (1877-1968)

Sayed Imam Shah (d. 1520) is said to have launched a brisk mission in Gujrat. He converted a certain Khoja Jiva in Khambat, Gujrat. Khoja Jiva was well rooted in Ismailism and he himself converted large number of Kanabi caste of the Hindus, notably Motilal, Daya Ram Nathu, etc. The descendant of Motilal migrated to Surat during the time of Imam Nizar II (1585-1628), who deputed Sayed Abdul Nabi in India, whose tomb is in Kankara Khadi, near Surat. He was followed by the vakils, Hasan Pir (1652-1715), Sayed Ghulam Ali Shah (d. 1792), etc.

Motilal, the ancestor of Kassim Ali H. Javeri practiced Ismaili faith in the mantle of a Hindu, and his descendants lived in various cloaks, shaded with the Hindu social custom for a long period, and they became known as the guptis. They performed the religious service in the house of Jedas Prabu for 75 years in Surat. Later on, the house of the forefathers of Kassim Ali H. Javeri was used for 45 years as the Jamatkhana, where Imam Aga Ali Shah is reported to have visited for five times.bohras bohri dawoodi bohra pir mawla quran ul hakim ali mizan allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism in United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan J

Mirath (inheritance) Section Viii : Miscellaneous Provisions Posted By: Ibrahim

There were certain miscellaneous questions, which created doubts and difficulties in the minds of certain persons. The decisions reported here purport to resolve these issues:-
SPOUSE AS SOLE HEIR

"When a man dies leaving his widow as his sole surviving heir, she takes the whole of his property. Similarly when a married woman dies leaving her widower as her sole surviving heir, the whole of the property goes to him.

The reason mentioned for this rule is that although their Koranic shares are fixed at 1/4 and 1/8, respectively, the residue cannot be taken by anyone else according to the Koranic regulations. The wife was after all a close relation of the husband, and was preferred to the state as a residuary. Both of these decisions are attributed to Ali bin Abu Talib, and as all the succeeding Imams followed them, the rule can be said to be firmly established.

a) An unbeliever was converted to Islam and later, killed accidentally. He had no heirs left surviving him. The blood-money due by his accidental death was distributed among the poor, who had been converted to Islam.mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism microfinance United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journalism in Middle East Jour

Conquest Of Mecca Posted By: Ibrahim

"The Treaty of Hudaibia had been nearly two years in force. Acting on the discretion allowed by the treaty, Banu Khazao and Banu Bakr, inhabiting Mecca and its neighborhood, the former had become the allies of the Prophet, the latter had entered into an alliance with Qoraish. These two rival tribes had been fighting among them for a long time. Aided by a party of Qoraish, Banu Bakr attacked by night an unsuspecting encampment of Banu Khazao, and slew several of them. The Khazao were forced to take refuge in the Kaba, where they were also persecuted. A deputation of forty men from the injured tribe hastened to Medina, and spread the wrongs of Banu Bakr before the Prophet, and pleaded that the treacherous murders be avenged. The Prophet sent a messenger to Qoraish, offering three alternatives: - a) Blood money for all the men killed be paid. b) The Qoraish should withdraw their help for the Banu Bakr. c) It should be announced that the treaty of Hudaibia has been abrogated.

Qaratah bin Umar, on behalf of Qoraish, said that only the third alternative was acceptable.bohras bohri dawoodi bohra pir mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism in United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journali

Musta'alins (bohras) Posted By: Ibrahim

"Badr al-Jamali, the Fatimid vizir expected the succession of Musta'li but he died in 487/1095, a month before the death of Imam al-Mustansir. The Imam appointed Lawun Amin ad-Dawla as a new vizir, but after few days, al-Afdal, the son of Badr al-Jamali managed to obtain office of vizirate when the Imam was on death-bed. After the death of Imam al-Mustansir, the year 487/1095 marks the triumph of vizirial prerogative over caliphal authority in the structure of the Fatimid empire. Al-Afdal however, was fearing of being deposed by Imam al-Nizar, so he conspired to remove him.

Aiming to retain the power of the state in his own hands, al-Afdal favoured the candidacy of al-Mustansir's youngest son, Abul Kassim Ahmad, surnamed Musta'li, who would entirely depend upon him. Al-Musta'li was about 20 years old, and already married to al-Afdal's daughter. Al-Afdal moved swiftly, and on the day following Imam al-Mustansir's death, he placed the young prince on the throne with the title of al-Musta'li-billah. He quickly obtained for al-Musta'li the allegiance of the notables of the court.bohras bohri dawoodi bohra pir mawla quran ul hakim ali allah saudi ara Khamr Journalism in United Kingdom Journalism in Pakistan Journali
