How To Play Good Golf Under Pressure - The Paradox Of Golf Posted By: Paul D'Arcy

Do you ever feel under pressure on the course?

Do you ever feel pressure before you even get onto the course?

Plenty of other players you and I know feel pressure all the time when they are golfing.

Here are some examples when players perceive pressure:

On the range, before a round

The night before

On missing a couple of short practice putts in warm up

After making a couple of short practice putts in warm up

On the first tee

On the eighteenth tee

Stood over a three footer for bogey

Stood over a three footer for birdie

Facing a 140 yard shot to the green, with water in front

Playing with strangers

Playing with friends

Playing with a spouse

Playing for a pint

Playing for your livelihood

If you've experienced any of these are pressure times, then ask yourself this

"Where is the pressure coming from?"

And the only honest answer is "from me"

So unless you think these pressures help you play better, (which of course they don't), you need to learn a new way of thinking.

What's the problem with pressure?

You and I have both heard players talking about "thriving on pressure".mental golf tips mental golf game how to play golf under pressure golf practice drills practicing golf putting tips short game practice

Miami Airport Executive Transportation Survival Guide Posted By: Bill Faeth

Newsweek once called Miami "America's Casablanca" and that just might be true in certain regards. To paraphrase Bogey in that classic film, once you've booked your airport limousine service, you might be tempted to lean back into the comfortable passenger seat of your limo and softly say to your chauffeur, "Drive it Sam....you drove it for her, now drive it for me...." And if your chauffeur is not named Sam, you'll come up with some other clever repartee, no doubt. Whatever you say to your airport limousine service driver, it's sure to be tinged with great satisfaction as you sigh contentedly and look out upon the sights and traffic of busy Miami.

When you remove the potential headaches that come with driving a rental car in a busy city, your trip suddenly becomes oh, so pleasant. And airport limousine service is a classy, affordable alternative to a possibly smelly cab with a driver who may never stop talking on his or her cell phone, making your arrival and/or departure very nerve-wracking.nashville limo limo in Nashville Nashville limousine limousine in Nashville nashville limos nashville airport limo airport shuttle airport shut

Every day there are many golf matches organized by different groups. Therefore there are various special events happening around the world all the time. But if you are a golf lover, then this golf news should make you very happy. It is about the famous England golfer Luke Donald who has created history in style when he made three birdies in his last three holes at the Dubai World Championship.

If you consider this event, it can be said that it is a world record where the Englishman has become the only player in the golf history to win the Money Lists of both US PGA and European Tour. This marvelous golf news has spread along cheer for all the Englishmen. It is also to be noted that there were only two ways for the world No.1 through which he could have won the honor.
Classroom Management Strategies To Deal With Low-level Disruption Posted By: behaviourneeds01

This sort of disruption can be like water torture to the teacher, that incessant symphony of pencil tapping, silly noises, poking, bogey-flicking, giggling, inappropriate flatulence, paper-passing, ruler-slapping, desk shoving, hair-pulling, and general fidgeting.

Kids will be kids, and in themselves many of the above are all fairly harmless activities (though those involving bodily functions can be hard to stomach, and hair-pulling can really hurt). Taken collectively they are incredibly wearing and can make a teacher"s life hell.

There are as many ways of dealing with low level disruption as there are types of disruption "" from use of humour to thumb screws "" but I"m going to give you a stepped script here which you may find handy because it can be used to address virtually any type of low-level interruption...

1. State what they are doing, and what you want them to do instead.

The first thing to do is point out very clearly what they are doing wrong. It"s surprising the effect this can have on them "" sometimes they might not be aware how annoying their behaviour is for other people in the room until it is spelled out to them.Classroom Management classroom management strategies

Preview-rugby-all Blacks Poised To Seize The Moment Posted By: icefire

New Zealand plan to seize themoment at Eden Park on Sunday and prove beyond doubt that theteam who consistently play the best rugby in the world canfinally win a second World Cup.

While the All Blacks winning percentage remains the best ininternational sport, their failure to win the Webb Ellis trophysince the first tournament in 1987 has haunted a small nation inwhich rugby had become both a symbol of national pride and anobsession.

France have been New Zealands bogey team, eliminating themtwice at the knockout stages, and now only the French standbetween the All Blacks and redemption after a bleak run offailures.

New Zealand defeated France 29-9 in the 1987 final, a scorewhich was a fair reflection of the gap between the rest of therugby world and the All Blacks in the final years of the amateurera.

The return of their great rivals South Africa tointernational sport after the abolition of apartheid and theintroduction of professionalism after the Springboks won the1995 World Cup transformed the rugby world.Football Kits Football Kit Historical Football Kits

Webb Simpson Stays In Hunt At Pga Mcgladrey Posted By: icefire

Webb Simpson, chasing Englands Luke Donald for the US PGA Tours money title, nabbed a brace of late birdies for a share of second place after two rounds of the McGladrey Classic.

Unheralded Billy Horschel surged into the lead with an eagle and two birdies in his last four holes, firing a six-under 64 on the par-70 Seaside course for a 36-hole total of 12-under 128.

But overnight co-leader Simpson, winner of two tournaments on the US tour this year, stayed in touch with a three-under 67 for 130, tied for second with Michael Thompson (65).

Simpson said after the second round that he would play the PGA Tours final official tournament next week in Florida, where he could find himself in a battle with Donald for the season money crown.

World number one Donald, currently leading Simpson atop the money list by $68,971, said earlier Friday that he would add the Disney tournament to his schedule.

"There was never really a decision to be made. I have a chance of making history. See you all at Disney next week," Donald said on Twitter.nfl jerseys supply

Where Are The Men? 10 Male-dominated Places To Find Them Posted By: Lori Abela

Your best bet on where to find a boyfriend is to go where the boys are! For women who are asking "Where are the men?" 10 male-dominated places to find them are exactly that: locations, industries or events where men naturally converge. You can't go wrong with these suggestions when you're still single after 40 and doing everything you can in finding a soulmate. You certainly would stand out from these male-dominated crowds, which is all the better when you are on a quest on how to find love. It is easier how to find the guy for you when you are surrounded by them:

In yacht clubs. Unless you're extremely hydrophobic, it doesn't hurt to try sailing lessons. Yachting, sailing and allied hobbies are naturally men's turf because these require navigational and spatial skills, which the male brain seems hardwired to do. There's nothing more romantic in finding a soulmate while sailing into the sunset.

In driving ranges and fairways. How to find love may just be a bogey away! You will find an abundance of men, rather, an abundance of high society men, in the greens. That is so because the membership fees are exorbitant!how to find love finding a soulmate

Dufner Seems Numb After Throwing Away Major Win Posted By: icefire

Jason Dufner showed little emotion at the PGAChampionship. Not when he seemed to have the Wanamaker Trophy wrapped up, norwhen he threw it all away.

As the sun set on Atlanta Athletic Club, he just seemed numb.

Dufner ended up on the wrong end of one of the greatest comebacks in majorchampionship history Sunday. Keegan Bradley overcame a five-shot deficit withthree holes left in regulation, then beat Dufner in a three-hole playoff.

Im so new at this situation, I dont know if I appreciate it as much as Iwill, Dufner said, quickly adding, soon.

The 34-year-old Dufner had not made a cut since late May and hed never wonon the PGA Touryet, here he was, on cusp of winning one of the biggest eventsof all. He was playing textbook golf for the tough setup, keeping his ball inthe fairway better than anyone and rolling the ball with poise and confidence onthe greens.

He strolled the grounds like he owned the place, occasionally cracking a bitof a smile but mostly just staring straight ahead, as if this was his destiny.nfl jerseys supply

Rory McIlroy headed for a tennis vacation.

The U.S. Open winner finished up his PGA Championship on Sunday with asecond straight 74, sending him to 11-over par and tied for 64th. He said hisinjured right wrist felt better and he was simply glad for a few days off.

Though McIlroys not heading home to Northern Ireland, hes off toCincinnati.

I hear its nice up there this time of year, he said with a grin.

Cincinnati is also site of a WTA tournament featuring McIlroys friend, world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki. The two have been the subject of gossip sincethey were photographed together a month ago.

McIlroy, though, quickly turned the conversation back to his PGAperformance.

It was certainly a struggle, he said, since injuring his right wrist on anill-considered shot, the ball up against a tree root.

I basically played 70 holes of this tournament not at 100 percent, so itsalways going to be tough, he said.

Mcdowell Tries To Bounce Back From Tough Season Posted By: Ivy

Graeme McDowell packed a career of memories into one season, from his U.S. Open title at Pebble Beach to winning the match that gave Europe victory in the Ryder Cup.
He knew an encore was going to be tough.
But after a year in which just about everything has gone wrong, McDowell might have hit rock bottom last week at Valderrama when he couldn't break 80 on the weekend - rounds of 81 and 82 - and finished in last place, 31 shots out of the lead.
"We are pretty good at beating ourselves up," McDowell said Thursday after making seven birdies in a roller coaster round of 69 that left him four shots off the lead in the HSBC Champions. "We are all very good at punching ourselves when we are down. That's the game. We love it and we hate. It's a bit of a love-hate relationship, and last year was certainly a love relationship."
There was some tough love in Valderrama.
He called last weekend one of the most embarrassing weekends of his career, even conceding that he quit on himself.

Bradley Starts Strong In Shanghai: A Fan' Posted By: Ivy

When the PGA announced that the voting for the top player will be delayed so that they could consider the result of the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, Keegan Bradley had the most to gain. After the first round of the event on November 3, Bradley is doing his best to stake his claim to the award. Bradley shot seven under par in his first round and holds a two shot lead at the event. Three golfers are tied for second behind the PGA Championship winner after one round. Bradley still has a lot of work to do to win the tournament and steal the player of the year honor, but he is certainly off to a great start.
Bradley did not have a single bogey in his round. He was sharp and consistent from wire to wire. Playing in a strong group with Lee Westwood and Adam Scott, Bradley easily outplayed both. They each shot a 69. Westwood and Scott are still two of the bigger names that put up decent performances in the first round. Bo Van Pelt and Fredrik Jabocson each shot a 67 while David Toms and K.J. Choi each shot 68.

Pga Champ Bradley Opens With A 65 Posted By: Ivy

A dream year for PGA champion Keegan Bradley might not be over yet.
Bradley relied on his power off the tee and enough key putts Thursday for a 7-under 65 in the HSBC Champions to open the final World Golf Championship with a two-shot lead.
Bo Van Pelt, coming off a big win last week in Malaysia, twice ran off three straight birdies and joined the Swedish duo of Alex Noren and Fredrik Jacobson at 67. The group at 68 included K.J. Choi and David Toms. Defending champion Francesco Molinari was challenging the lead late in his round as a light rain began to fall, but a double bogey-bogey finish sent him to a 70.
Rory McIlroy, with Caroline Wozniacki following him inside the ropes, made two late birdies to salvage a 70.
What made the opening round at Sheshan International so rewarding for Bradley was the company he kept. He played alongside Lee Westwood and Adam Scott, each of whom had a 69.
"Every week, I'm amazed at who I'm around," said Bradley, who only a year ago had just secured his PGA Tour card.

Couples, Haas Share Champions Tour Lead Posted By: Ivy

U.S. Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples seems amused by all the controversy surrounding Tiger Woods' position on the American team.
Some might say he relishes it.
Couples shot a 3-under 68 in rainy, wet conditions Thursday for a share of the lead with assistant captain Jay Haas after the first round of the Champions Tour's season-ending Charles Schwab Championship.
Not surprisingly, the first question Couples faced after his round was about Woods.
"In my mind some of it's very serious and some of it is comical because it just keeps going," said Couples, who guaranteed Woods a spot weeks before his captain's picks were due.
"We have 11 other guys on the team. But it seems like it's all about Tiger. I've picked him and we'll wait until we get to Australia and we'll see how he plays."
Coming off a seven-stroke victory three weeks ago in San Antonio, Couples had six birdies and three bogeys at TPC Harding Park, the site of the United States' 2009 Presidents Cup victory in his first year as captain.
He overcame a rough back nine, getting a birdie on the par-4 18th to grab a share of the lead.

The Best Golf Playing Tip Ever! Posted By: Alex Fortey

Arguably the best golf course tip ever!!!

This is a hard accolade to award for sure, seeing as everyone has the "secret tip" that will turn you from a weekend mid 80's into a club champion, or a regional champion into a national tour player. Although there are too many to mention, there is one that has always sprung to mind whenever I am questioned, what is the best tip?

As far as golf swing tips go there are some I will provide at another time, same goes for golf fitness tips or on-course nutrition. What I am referring to today is on-course thought patterns and habits that will enhance your focus, lower your scores and give you the edge against your rivals.

I played a good round today;

I hit 12 fairways and 15 greens for a 67, would have been better but I missed a couple of birdie opportunities and I hit one bad shot that cost me a double bogey!! I hit some sweet drives, one being on a 500 + yard par 5 that left me a mid wedge into the green.Sergio Garcia The best golf playing tip ever golf flexibilty Golf swing Workout for golf One good shot a hole
