Professional Poker Tools - Part Two - Heads Up Displays Posted By: Tom Kearns

A heads up display, or HUD, is a tool used by online poker players to display statistics on other players at the table directly around thier name. To the skilled professional this tool is indespensable. When professionals play poker online they often play several tables at a time. Many players will play 4-16 tables at once across several monitors. When you are playing this many tables and hands at a time it is virtually impossible to keep track of the playing style of every opponent at the table. The HUD can help you to keep track of who plays how by just glancing at their stats before you act. So how does it work?

The hand histories for every hand that you play online are stored on your hard drive. These hands can then be imported into a tracking software (discussed in part one of this series) and compiled into a database.poker gambling HUD heads up display games

Betting Alternate Run Lines Posted By: T.O Whenham

If you like betting baseball run lines but want even more variety to your wagering menu, then know you have other options. Actually there are a couple of alternatives the two different varieties of alternate run lines. A traditional run line is essentially a moneyline with a point spread of 1.5 the favorite has to win by two or more runs for a bet on them to pay off, while the underdog can lose by one and you will still win your bet. Alternate run lines work in the same way, only they allow you to bet on different spreads.

The first alternate run line, offered by online books including Bodog, Pinnacle and SuperBook, essentially turns the tables on the traditional bet. Instead of laying 1.5 runs, the favorite takes 1.5 runs. The favorite becomes the underdog. Obviously, that means that the original favorite in the game will be facing a much lower payout, and the original underdog will pay off much better than it otherwise would.

If you don't have that much confidence in the underdog, or you like the favorite more than that, then the other alternative will be more attractive. Instead of laying 1.MLB baseball

The New Billionaires Posted By: Kadence Buchanan

For the twelfth straight year, Bill Gates continues to be the richest man in the world with a net worth of $50 billion, according to the authoritative Forbes magazine, the business world's bible of wealth and fortune. Microsoft's founding father may be less active in the corporate world these days, but he still sits comfortably at the top of the hill as the inspiration and subject of envy of all would-be billionaires.

Based on a recent report released by Forbes, becoming a billionaire these days is not as hard as it used to be. The publication reveals that there are now a record 793 billionaires around the world, compared to 691 in 2005, with an average net worth of $3.3 billion. Combined, these 793 men and women have a net worth of $2.6 trillion.

What is stunning is that just three years ago, Forbes could only point to 476 billionaires worldwide, which means that their number has nearly doubled in a three-year span.Billionaires business economic finance
