About Agra Posted By: mukesh

          ABOUT AGRA
Though Agra's history is largely recognised with Mughal Empire, but the place was established much before it and has linkages since Mahabharat period and Mahirshi Angira in 1000 BC. It is generally accepted that Sultan Sikandar Lod, the Ruler of the Delhi Sultanate founded Agra in the year 1504. After the Sultan's death the city passed on to his son Sultan Ibrhm Lod. He ruled his Sultanate from Agra until he fell fighting to Bbar in the First battle of Panipat fought in 1526.
In the year 1556, the great Hindu warrior Hemu Vikramaditya, also known as Samrat Hem Chander Vikramaditya, won Agra as the Prime Minister cum Chief of Army of Adil Shah of the Afghan Sr Dynasty. The commander of Humyn / Akbar's forces in Agra, Tardi Beg Khan, was so scared of Hemu that he retreated from the city without a fight. This was Hemu's 21st continuous win since 1554, and he later went on to conquer Delhi, having his coronation at Purn Qil'a in Delhi on 7 October 1556 and re-established the Hindu Kingdom and the Vikramaditya Dynasty in North India.
The golden age of the city began with the Mughals.hotels in agra budget hotels in agra agra hotels

Billiards which snooker derived from was thought to get played as early as the 1340's, with Louis XI of France owning a billiard desk inside 1470's. The name 'snooker' was supplied to the recreation by Colonel Sir Neville Chamberlain in 1875 while serving in the Army. Within the Officers' Mess at Jubbulpore in India, playing games for instance pyramids, everyday living pool and black pool ended up preferred, with fifteen reds as well as a black utilised from the latter. To these were extra yellow, green and pink, with blue and brown launched some many years after. One afternoon Chamberlain's Devonshire regiment was visited by an young officer who experienced been educated with the Royal Military Academy in Woolwich. This officer explained that a 1st-12 months cadet at the Academy was referred to as being a 'snooker'. Later, when one with the gamers failed to hole a coloured ball, Chamberlain shouted to him: 'Why, you are a regular snooker.' He then pointed out the meaning and which they have been all 'snookers' in the activity. The title was adopted for that match by itself.

Health Is Wealth Vice Versa Of A Clean Carpet Posted By: Gary Smith

We the human beings are born free in the universe created by God. He has created the atmosphere according to our live saving breathing facilities. But you the most civilized creature in the world build your sweet home according to your necessities and its atmosphere is totally controlled by you. Recently the EPA put into the congressional Record the fact that indoor air is more polluted than outdoor air. Poor indoor air quality arise severe problems and health hazards especially children crawling across the carpet always putting tender hands in their eyes and mouth. The average person spends 90% of their time indoors. Every time you walk in your house from one room to other, you bring in to pollutants of all kinds with you. For example the day after you spray for bugs and mosquitoes, the concentration of insecticide is 10 time stronger than in your carpet than it is outside where you sprayed.

Carpet can actually improve indoor air quality, if it is properly maintained. This because your carpet is not only acts as a pretty soft flooring covering but also serves much more.Carpet cleaning NYC carpet cleaning Manhattan

Conditions Affecting Veterans Posted By: Mark Etinger

The sacrifice of our nation's veterans doesn't end when they come back from abroad. Many will be contending with the injuries they suffered for the rest of their lives. Even if they come back unscathed, they are more likely to develop addictions, exhibit violent behaviors, and attempt suicide. Every war has its trademark injury, whether we are talking about civil war amputations, WWII shrapnel wounds or Iraq/Afghan war PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

One of the most common injuries for people returning from war is TBI. It is a well-documented fact that the weapon of choice of many insurgents is roadside bombs. The shock from these blasts can lead to concussions or more severe types of TBI. A concussion diagnosis is sometimes overlooked in the chaos of war. Also several concussions can have sever and cumulative effects. Often times, after several injuries, it is too late for a concussion diagnosis because the problem becomes more severe and may be the result of a fundamental change in the make-up of the brain.

Unfortunately it can be hard to detect TBI.concussion diagnosis memory impairment neuropsych testing neuropsychological evaluation neuropsychological assessment evaluation for depression neurop

Is Peace Finally A Reality In Afghanistan? Posted By: tishbite

The war in Afghanistan has been ongoing for years and the fact that there are rumors of peace talks indicates to me that both sides are growing weary of war. The war has been long and costly for both sides. It has placed a severe drain on the economy of the United States. It has also placed a severe mental drain on the troops who have served multiple tours there. It has been a drain on their families and the rest of the United States. Many American and NATO troops have lost their lives and been maimed for life. The United States has borne the brunt of the pressure because they have provided most of the manpower and equipment requirements needed to fight the war.

The Taliban and al-Qaeda have taken many casualties and have suffered a large number of casualties. The drone campaign which the United States government has aggressively pursued has served to decimate the ranks of the terror organizations which has caused them to remain off balance. The campaign has targeted high level operatives in both organizations which has left them in a turmoil as far as their leadership goes.peace talks in afghanistan operation enduring freedom peace talks operation enduring freedom

They are majorly used as those small finishing touches which makes a home far more cozy and comfortable than they actually are. Handmade rugs are generally artistic and they can be used anywhere throughout the house. You can use these rugs in living rooms, bedrooms, dining room and other places.
Because We Are Measuring Space Between Stitches Posted By: JohnSmith

Density is the distance between individual stitches in a satin column or rows of stitches in a fill. The closer the rows are to each other, the denser an area of stitches is. Densities only apply to satin and fill stitch objects and underlay. With satin stitches, the narrower columns have less density than wider ones. Sample densities for underlay may be between 2 and 4 mm. Running stitches do not have density.

There are two primary ways that embroidery and digitize systems measure density. One measures the actual space between rows (technically, between alternating rows, not each row) and the second is by counting the stitches per inch (SPI). Most embroidery software uses one of these systems. The first system may measure in metric or inches. Due to the small distances, metric is much easier to work with and may offer increments in millimeters or points, which are a tenth of a millimeter.

Because we are measuring space between stitches, the smaller the number the more dense the stitching. A reasonably average value for density is .4 to .45. A density of .2 is twice as dense as .<a href="http://www.articlesnatch.com/topic/<a+href="http://www.eagledigitizing.com/">digitize</a>" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.eagledigitizing.com/">digitize</a>

Queries That Are Often Asked On Crochet Crafts Posted By: Dirik Hameed

One of the first forms of knitting is crocheting. As early as in medieval times it was being done in the Victorian era. Crochet hooks are the main tools that are used. There are various types of them each with its advantages and disadvantages. Among the least costly are plastic and aluminum ones. Aluminum hooks are long lasting, light and smooth to crochet with. They hardly get caught in the yarn being used and they will hardly become twisted out of shape.

Aluminum and plastic crochet hook are some of the available options. Aluminum ones are hard wearing, quite light and they are smooth to work with. They will hardly become caught in the yarn as it is very hard for them to bend.

The drawback of the plastic hook is brittleness and not being as smooth to use. They tend to become coiled and worn out rather fast. It gets snagged in the yarn and the stitched come out irregular and nonidentical. Aluminum ones may also become this way when the hook becomes bent after falling or being stored carelessly. The snags with the yarn make it get pulled and broken away as one continues to crochet.crochet hooks crochet crochet patterns

Kashmiri Shawls Posted By: Rashmi Aggarwal

Kashmiri Shawls

The legacy of Indian art and culture resides in Kashmir; and this art and culture spans over a variety of handicrafts inclusive of Kashmiri Shawls. Shawls of Kashmir were popular even at the times of emperor Ashok ((3rd C BC). However, it is said that the Shawl Industry was set up in Kashmir by Sultan Zain-Ul-Abidin (1420-1470 A.D). He encouraged the promotion of art as an organized trade; called "Pashm" or Pashmina.

History of Kashmiri shawls

The history of shawl weaving in India is far more ancient, which can be closely associated to the references in holy texts like Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Buddhist literature. Shawls are also offered as a symbol of respect in India. Considering the contemporary usage of Kashmiri Shawls; also spelled as Cashmere Shawls is largely based on fashion trends. For the everyday real time look or that eye-catching luxurious appeal in parties, Shawls can be wrapped to feel warm and loving. Pashmina Shawls are a must-have in your wardrobe to get that Lady-like appearance. The important is the variety and color you choose for yourselves.kashmiri shawls pashmina shawls pashmina kashmiri shawls
