The Nutritional Needs Of Athletes Posted By: Carey Hudson

Do you feel that athletes are in better shape than others because they constantly work out and are on a strict diet? Well, for some this is true. But others are not practicing the proper nutrition for athletes simply because they are holding on to some very popular misconceptions. Those who have a good relationship with their nutritional requirements are the ones that are actually in better shape than those who are not. Here are some of the myths that some athletes are forever holding on to.

#1 Myth: Load up on protein to gain more muscles.

Totally baseless. There is no scientific study that proved the association of extra protein to muscle gain. In fact, a proper nutrition for athletes prohibits an excess of 2-2.5 times the protein as in the RDA. To much protein intake can result in dehydration, kidney, liver problems, as protein needs a lot of fluid to remove waste products.

#2 Myth: When an athlete is thirsty, it means his body needs fluids.

The body might need fluids even if one is not thirsty. An athlete needs to keep watch on their fluid intake and how much of it they lose.health fitness disease conditions remedies nutrition self help self improvement

Toy Model Trains Faq Posted By: David Blackburn

Those looking to get started with toy model trains have many different options to choose from. There are different design features and model scales to make a decision harder to come across. Naturally this will cause you to have many questions. I have written out a list of frequently asked questions, and their answers for you.

(1) What Does Scale Mean? A scale is the letter used to designate the size of the model train. These usually represent a specific size ratio, which range from 1:220 ratio to a 1:8 ratio. The most popular scales are the N, Ho, Z, and G scales.

(2) Which Scale Has More Detail? The larger the scale, the more detail the train will have. While Z scale may be beneficial to those who have minimum space, it is very difficult to put a lot of detail into such a small amount of material. N scale models have a decent amount of detail for the amount of money you end up spending.

(3) What Exactly is a Gauge? A gauge for toy model trains is a reference for the size of the track.toy model trains model trains model railroading toy model trains faq model railways

Even Less Reason In 2010 To Withdraw From Your Tax-deferred Accounts Posted By: Shane Flait

During your retirement, you're often advised to live off your taxable accounts first before using your tax-deferred accounts. That's because withdrawing from your tax-deferred accounts will tax you more whereas keeping them untouched allows them to grow faster than your taxable accounts.

This article clarifies the assumptions in this advice and explains why there's even less reason to tap those deferred accounts in 2010.

This advice assumes you have significant savings in both taxable accounts and tax-deferred accounts so that you can choose which type you wish to withdraw from. Otherwise, you can forget it. If you've got most everything in tax-deferred account, then you ought to leave the little you have in taxable accounts for emergency cash.

Tax-deferred accounts are those government-regulated retirement savings accounts that you get a deduction for contributing to (which gives them a 'zero' tax basis), grow tax-deferred, but have their withdrawals subject to your income tax rate - a potentially high tax bracket rate. Your IRA and 401(k) plans are examples.

Taxable accounts are really everything else. You contributed to them with after-tax money which gives them a tax basis. Those types of investments that earn interest or dividends are taxed yearly;2010 tax-deferred IRA withdrawal stepped-up basis death beneficiary

Leanne Griffiths Reviews Free Traffic Programs Posted By: Leanne Griffiths

There are lots of programs and systems for you get free web traffic but are they any good? Leanne Griffiths review one of these today The Affilate Code by Michael Jones's

By now, you've probably heard all about it - I mean, it's all over the forums, and the Alexa ranking for this site is insane right now.

It is important you compare products and prices becuase you can get ripped off there are many scams out there that do not deliver what they promise.

The Affiliate Code claims to show you step by step via video tutorial how to generate free web traffic. But does it deliver what it promises? I put it to the test and let me tell you I was surprised at the outcome. Let me tell you why.

There are other programs out there that will help you with getting web traffic (either buying web traffic or SEO optimization)which I have purchased and tested but let me say I am no technical wizard by any means and I had to ask for a refund for many due the complexity of the programs and the lack of support or help.buy traffic web traffic website traffic free traffic increase traffic get traffic buy web traffic increase site traffic

Call Answering Service - Insufficient Quality Control Makes Overseas Outsourcing Unpopular Posted By: Daljeet Sidhu

Small businesses are compelled to project the image of a larger concern for business reasons. Big businesses prefer to work with big businesses. In the course of trying to appear big, small companies outsource support and customer services to provide 24x7 services at a low cost. However, this can also lead to lower customer service quality and even loss of customers.

Today, many customers have a negative opinion of companies that outsource customer service, technical support or any other function to overseas agencies. Some of the reasons outsourced services are unpopular are:

Insufficient quality control

The late 90s saw the dot-com boom which led to the rise of countries such as India, as an overseas call center resource. All kinds of call centers like technical support, answering services, and customer service began to sprout in India. Companies found they could save up to 50% if they used an overseas answering service.

The downside to this arrangement was the lack of quality control. Most customers in the US can recall at least one incident where they were thoroughly dissatisfied with their experience with technical support personnel in India.answering service telephone answering service phone answering service live answering service

Word Of Mouth Viral Marketing Fuelling Prepaid Growth Posted By: Divya Sharma

Ever since the appearance of prepaid cards in the UK in 2000/2001, the prepaid debit card industry has been growing steadily. There has been exponential growth at times but nowhere close to the kind of growth that the scheme managers like MasterCard, Visa or Amex had predicted and the prepaid proposition still remains a work in progress.

- The Online vs. Offline Distribution Dilemma

For prepaid card issuers, one of the biggest dilemmas is establishing and picking the right distribution channels to reach consumers and currently, there is an unhealthy obsession with expensive offline distribution channels so much so that some issuers tend to focus too much time on putting their product in front of the consumer and too little time in actually building a proposition that will be attractive to those consumers.

Other's advocate a completely online approach which risks alienating a section of the population which does not, can not or will not venture online to search for the best deal. Whilst still significant and definitely not a segment to be ignored, this segment is growing smaller rapidly as customers move online to find the best deal.Prepaid Cards Award Winning Prepaid Card Babeecard viral marketing word of mouth

Toyota-it's More Than Just A Car Posted By: Art Gib

I would have to say that Toyota is probably my all-time favorite car company. The name is reliable, the cars exceptional, and the fact that they are assembled here in the United States means that you can own a foreign car while providing domestic jobs. I really can't say enough about how much I like this company.

My favorites are the Camry and the Corolla, for almost purely emotional reasons. The first time I drove a Camry was several years ago. My grandmother, who I considered my guiding star, had just passed away, and my car broke down. In a pinch, I went to a car rental place, willing to take whatever they had. The best one for the money was a Camry, which I ended up keeping for a week.

I don't know; there was just something that was comforting about the car as I was dealing with all of the emotions of losing someone so important to me. The ride was comfortable for both long and short drives, and I found myself not wanting to give the car back. In the end, we did part, but I put it on my list to own a Camry someday.Hemet cars

Incorporating In California Vs. Incorporating In Nevada Posted By: Stephen Nelson

If you own or are starting a California business, you've probably considered the Nevada incorporation idea, right? Some well-meaning friend has undoubtedly shared advice that you should incorporate in Nevada, where the taxes are lower.

Incorporating in Nevada can seem like an attractive tax planning opportunity. And sometimes the option works. Before you leave for Las Vegas, consider the following secnarios:

Incorporating in California: When California Incorporation is the No-brainer Choice

Let's start by talking about when you absolutely have to incorporate in California AND #8212;no matter how attractive Nevada seems to be: If you operate your business in California and you're resident of California, forget about the idea of incorporating in Nevada to save taxes. You won't get this "tax planning" technique to work.

The problem with the Nevada incorporation option for California businesses with California owners is that your Nevada corporation will still need to register with the state of California. This foreign corporation registration means you'll still pay all the same taxes and franchise fees as a regular California corporation.

Furthermore, California will be able to tax the corporation on any of its income because the business activity occurs in California.incorporating nevada nevada incorporation incorporating california california incorporation nevada corporation california corporation

When You Should Want To Get Out Of Debt Yourself Posted By: Gerry Craven

Free advice on debt management can be found from countless sources. The materials usually expose the importance of out goings, customs of settling with bills and guidelines on how not to overstate balances. On the average, individuals use the Internet for applicable free advice on debt reduction, but pointers are also obtainable from the US Government Printing Office too. The availability of expert advice is explicated by the readiness of the professional people to share their knowledge. Even if you get solutions to these circumstances, you still should to confirm advice to make sure that the advice is true and trustworthy to put into practice.

Having some $5,000 in credit card debt by itself is a massive sum if we total medical bills, car loans, mortgages and living costs. And this could be just the beginning of a quite nerve-racking time. Should you cope with unemployment or some unexpected health situations and you won't know where to go. Debts without savings are a disaster.
Is It Wise To Form An Investment Partnership? Posted By: Paul Easton

Many times is it easier for more than one person to begin investing in real estate. This happens most often within families or between friends who become business partners. Pooling financial and time resources is a definite benefit of forming a private partnership, LAQC, or joint venture. But there are also risks involved.

A Partnership Agreement Minimises Risk

The best way to avoid disputes and minimise risk for both parties is to create a partnership agreement that clearly spells out the responsibilities, rights, and obligations of each partner. This agreement is the foundation upon which the investment enterprise is based and meant to resolve any disputes that might occur while eliminating any misunderstandings.

There are few situations worse than one where previously close friends or family members are torn apart due to a business deal gone bad. It is best to argue about the details and air differences before the partnership is formed so that both parties are unsurprised. A formal agreement is the most efficacious way to avoid later problems. Do not rely on verbal agreements or a handshake; property investment between partners requires a legal document.Investment Partnership options

Using Apple-cider Vinegar To Treat Your Yeast Infection Posted By: Chris Haycock

I suppose nowadays most people, (well at least most people that suffer from yeast infections), are aware that their problem is caused by the overproduction of yeast in the body. Also that it is usually one of the many types of yeast we all live with that is the main culprit.

This particular yeast is known as candida albicans, and is the source of the majority of yeast infections, which cause so much discomfort and distress. The body has got out of balance, allowing the yeast to grow to the point where it becomes a real problem.

Now, how does apple-cider vinegar fit into this? It is made, as the name suggests, from apples, well, cider or apple must to be more precise. It generally has a medium to light browny colour, and is often sold unpasteurised and unfiltered. It can be purchased in pretty much any natural food store.

It has become increasingly popular in recent years as people are drawn to natural remedies for their ailments in preference to prescription chemical medications, which are often seen as harsh, and frequently with unwanted side effects.yeast infections yeast infection yeast infection cure natural yeast infection cure candida cure candida albicans

How To Motivate Employees Posted By: Adriana Noton

Do you find your employees only doing a half-hearted job? Do you feel that job satisfaction is dropping in your business? If so, you are not alone. Many people report lack of motivation among their employees, and often wonder what to do about it. The good news is that you can motivate your employees to work hard for you again. You simply need to know how to speak their language.

Show Personal Care

In general, people work hard to please those who care about them. Why else does a small child work excessively hard to please Mom, Dad or Teacher? Take the time to show personal care to your employees, and they will stay motivated.

This requires paying attention to your employees. Is one employee dealing with a sick parent? Ask about it, and offer to make the schedule flexible so they can be away when needed. Is one employee doing a particularly good job with customers? Then give them one of your most important accounts to work, pointing to the good work you have observed.Employment Work Job temp jobs jobs career society business skills training salary recruit

Hunting For Rare Books Posted By: Hector Cantu

When it comes to rare books, James Gannon has some simple advice:

"Handle your books carefully, with clean hands," says the director of rare books at Dallas-based Heritage Auctions. "Do not over-open a book, do not keep collectible books in direct sunlight, and do not use a book as a coaster for your coffee cup!"

Yes, Gannon says, he has seen coffee stains on rare books. Maybe that's why serious collectors often hire skilled bookbinders to custom-make conservation cases for their rare books. "It's a smart move," Gannon says.

Here's more from Gannon on collecting rare and valuable books.

Q: What's your best advice for beginning rare-book collectors?
A: Collect what you love. Your passion for a subject or genre will help you educate yourself about the foundation books for that area, and about what to look for in collectible copies of books. Find a few specialist dealers in the area you want to collect and begin a relationship with them. Ask questions about books they are offering, or ask their advice about books you find elsewhere. It is good also to find like-minded collectors to interact with, and follow rare-book blogs or listserves.Rare books auction valuable collecting collector collectible Harry Potter

Secrets Of How To Write Effective Headlines For The Web Posted By: Wendy Moyer

Last time you were in line in the supermarket did the National Enquirer or another magazine like it catch your eye? Did you ever wonder why these tabloids are so popular? Why do people grab them off the shelf as soon as they come out?

It can't be the quality of the content, can it? Do you really believe there's a two headed alien cow on the loose in Manhattan?

You know what their secret is? It's the headlines. The tabloids have made an art of composing short, attention grabbing, curiosity driven headlines.

And you can learn a lot from them. You can use the same tactics and learn how to write effective headlines for the web. If you do this you will see results like you never experienced before.

Without a doubt, the headline is the most important part of any article. It will either motivate people to read your article - or ignore it.

Your headline is also one of the main factors the search engines use to determine what word or phrase your page should be ranked for. People familiar with SEO (search engine optimization) call these words or phrases "keywords".get backlinks

Colin Montgomerie Wants Woosnam Support Posted By: Sarfaraz Khan

Colin Montgomerie has admitted that he would like Forgan sponsored player Ian Woosnam as a member of his backroom team for next year. The Ryder cup 2010 will be held at Celtic manor.

Woosnam captained Europe to victory three years ago at the K club. However in June the Forgan player said that he did not want a formal role. Colin is under huge amounts of pressure after Woosie after the good spirit he gained with home crowds against the Americans.

"I didn't hear Ian's comments but at the same time it would be good to have some Welsh support," said Montgomerie, who, in addition to being European Ryder Cup captain is also the chairman of this week's Pound 1.4m Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

"Ian did very well himself to involve Des Smyth within the Irish success. I think that it is always good to have some home nation support and I will be going down that route."

Woosnam, who is thought to be disenchanted with the process of the European Tour's all-player tournament committee that led to Montgomerie being appointed captain, will take a bit of persuading.golf clubs golf bags golf equipment golf shoes cheap golf clubs golf clothes ladies golf clubs golf
