Magnetic Acupuncture And Weight Loss Posted By: Niall Strickland

The true key to permanent weight loss may be in taking multiple approaches simultaneously and magnetic acupuncture can be an effective part of that strategy for you. We know there isn't a magic pill (not a safe one, at least) and we know that lifestyle changes need to occur for people to stay slim but there are definite benefits to acupuncture in the area of weight loss. Some people are afraid of acupuncture due to needles and expectations that they'll need to attend several expensive sessions. That's not necessarily true when you are able to do acupuncture-like treatments at home. There may be several reasons for this:

Improved Digestion and Metabolism

Acupuncture can improve your metabolism. Sluggish digestion can leave the body with waste accumulation and that can amount to as much as 10 pounds. A faster metabolism can aid you with weight loss. It generally won't happen on its own but eating better, exercising, and acupunture together can help improve your metabolism and this can make it easier for you to burn off calories and fat.

Acupuncture can target the adrenal glands, the hypothalamus, and your thyroid, which can all contribute to slow metabolism.magnetic acupuncture therapy lose weight weight loss aculife metabolism digestion

The Golfers Guide To Pain Free Rounds Posted By: Niall Strickland

Many golfers find as they get older, that injuries become more common and that the regular 18 holes become a real challenge. What causes these injuries and what are the options for getting rid of those aches and pains and returning to perfect golfing form?

Between 60% and 80% of recreational golfers sustain injuries while playing due to the enormous stresses that a swing produces on muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones. The most common injuries include muscle strains, tendonitis, back pain, sprains and stress fractures. The most common cause of injury is failure to warm up before play. Golf is viewed as a sedentary sport and most people fail to understand the importance of stretching both before and after a game. Faulty swing mechanics further aggravate the problem and some time spent with the course professional can help in this regard.

If you have sustained an injury it is important that you take at least a couple of days rest from golf and other strenuous activities. Pain management can be dealt with in several different ways. Analgesics and anti-inflammatories can be used in the short term to relieve discomfort.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

How Hand Acupoint Info Can Detect Medical Problems And Treat Pain Posted By: Niall Strickland

Is it possible that by stimulating pressure points on the hand, a person can alleviate pain and treat any number of medical ailments? This is the philosophy behind traditional acupuncture treatments and qi, the Chinese term for vital energy.

Most consumers have heard of acupuncture, but few realize that it can be done with more than just needles. Heat, pressure, magnetic fields, and electrical currents are all alternative methods of stimulating acupoints on the body.

Chinese Traditional Method and Qi

According to ancient Chinese medical practitioners, qi is the vital energy that flows through each person's body. Qi follows certain pathways in a network referred to as meridians. It incorporates both yin and yang, the two, opposite forces that together make up a complete whole. When an imbalance occurs in either yin or yang, it causes qi to become blocked and results in an imbalance. This is the root of problems with a person's health resulting in pain, illness, or infection. Acupuncture is a way of unblocking qi and putting yin and yang back into their proper balance.

Qi is accessed through the skin at various pressure points, or acupoints. Each acupoint represents a place where a meridian surfaces.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management Aculife

Acupoint Therapy - Pain Relief From Fibromyalgia Posted By: Niall Strickland

A study regarding acupoint therapy and Fibromyalgia was performed by the Mayo Clinic in the United States and presented at a pain conference held in Sydney, Australia. Great promise is shown when it comes to this non-invasive, ancient form of therapy. Anxiety, pain, and chronic fatigue are just some of the symptoms experienced by many fibromyalgia patients and shown to be effectively alleviated by stimulation of acupoints, or the points at which the body's meridians contact the skin.

While acupuncture is not seen as a cure for fibromyalgia, it can greatly enhance the patient's quality of life over the long term, particularly with continued treatments. This seems to be a viable alternative to the medications usually prescribed to counteract pain and depression.

About Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is actually a syndrome rather than the definition of one particular ailment. It has no known cause but is characterised by a set of symptoms that are common and chronic. It may be related to arthritis but is not a true arthritic disease of the joints, which involves joint or tissue inflammation. Instead, fibromyalgia is considered a rheumatic condition which impairs the tissues and joints and causes pain.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management fibromyalgia Aculife

Relieve Body Pain And Discomfort With Magnetic Wave Therapy Posted By: Niall Strickland

If you are interested in finding an alternative way to relieve pain and discomfort and naturally stimulate your body's healing processes, then you should look into the benefits of magnetic wave therapy. This non-invasive procedure is an easy, proven, pain-free way to find relief from a variety of conditions.

How Magnetic Wave Therapy Works

Not just the latest hype, magnetic wave therapy is based on ancient, traditional Chinese medical knowledge and is supported by a number of modern studies and research. The theories behind this procedure are based on qi, or chi, the oriental term for vital energy that flows through the body and how certain pressure points correspond to the body's various internal organs and systems. Magnetic waves are just one way to stimulate these areas, much the same way acupuncture does.

You may be familiar with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for use as a diagnostic tool. Magnetic wave therapy operates on a similar principle and is now being used by medical practitioners, particularly osteopaths, chiropractors, and physiotherapists to treat back pain, arthritis, and various injuries.

Magnetic fields applied to an injured area are thought to improve blood and oxygen flow and naturally stimulate the body's healing process.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management Aculife

Boost Your Immune System With Acupoint Therapy Posted By: Niall Strickland

Acupuncture is no longer an alternative medical procedure reserved for patients being treated by practitioners of ancient Chinese techniques. The modern medical world is now embracing the benefits of various types of acupuncture to treat a wide variety of ailments. In fact, it is effective even for such diverse conditions as yeast infections and immune system disorders.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

Many people hear the word acupuncture and immediately visualise someone lying prone on a table with a large number of long needles sticking out of their body. Whilst this may be the traditional form of pinpointing acupressure points, or acupoints, modern medical practitioners also use such methods as heat, pressure, electrical currents, lasers, and micro- or magnetic waves, or a combination of these.

The concept behind this is to stimulate various parts of the body which are connected to the body's internal organs and systems. It is thought that this stimulation produces an actual physical change in nerve cells and causes them to release hormones, proteins, and chemicals in the brain. In this way, acupoints help control blood pressure and body temperature and boost the immune system while releasing endorphins, the body's natural painkiller.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management Aculife

Acupoint Therapy - Diagnose And Get Help With Many Ailments Posted By: Niall Strickland

Acupoint therapy can help you with many ailments. It's increasing in popularity and being studied by many medical professionals for a wide array of conditions. Acupoint therapy can be done with magnetic wave therapy and it can be done with traditional acupuncture treatments as well. Magnetic wave therapy has the distinct advantage of giving you the option of doing it yourself at home, without needles and without having to pay for every single treatment. People using magnetic wave therapy devices at home can also benefit from diagnosing medical problems as well as overall wellness.

Should You Diagnose Your Medical Problems?

There isn't any "at home" option that is designed to actually replace proper medical care. Everyone should speak with their doctor about medical concerns and follow doctors' orders. But by usinig diagnostic tools that you can use at home, you can go to the doctor armed with information that could be extremely helpful. By using magnetic wave therapy, for example, to diagnose medical issues, you can go to your doctor with information that could save time, effort, and money involved in trying to diagnose a problem.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management Aculife

Can Magnetic Acupoint Therapy Help Me With Sciatica? Posted By: Niall Strickland

If you're suffering from sciatica, acupuncture is increasingly popular in terms of pain relief. Acupuncture is something most people have heard of but many are a bit nervous about going for acupuncture therapy due to the fear of needles. With traditional acupuncture, needles are inserted in to various points on your body called acupoints. If needles aren't your thing, you may be interested in trying out magnetic wave therapy, which uses magnets and acupoints together to both diagnose and help relieve pain as well as promote wellness. No one wants to deal with a snake oil salesman online who can promise to cure all that ails with a magic potion but becoming informed about potential holistic and non-invasive health solutions is a wise decision.

Sciatica Treatments

Sciatica is difficult to treat. A lot of people go through many different treatment methods in the search of pain relief. Beyond NSAIDs (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs), there are narcotic remedies, stretching exercises, and surgery as well. Dealing with chronic back and leg pain can not just impact your daily life, it can take over!acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife sciatic nerve pain

Living With Pain? - You Don't Have To Posted By: Niall Strickland

Sometimes we accept pain as part of what life throws at us. We get so caught up in dealing with pain one day at a time that we often forget that there may be something we can actually do about it. So what are some of the non-traditional options? You need to think outside the box and try lots of things. There is no cure-all that works for everyone.

Traditional western medicine tends to focus on just a few of the options: medication; surgery; and physical therapy. However, there are lots of other options available if you simply have the faith to try them. Beware of medical practitioners that frown upon alternative therapies because they were not invented by conventional medical practitioners like themselves. After all, you should not care whether the treatment is traditional or alternative so long as it does the business for you.

I get extremely tired of listening to medical practitioners who do not accept that alternative therapies work, because they have no scientific proof of their efficacy. Tell this to the billion faithful people that believe in a higher being, although there is no scientific proof that He really exists. You must be pragmatic.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

The Magic Of Hand Maps For Checking Your Health Posted By: Niall Strickland

Would it surprise you to find out that all of the ailments in your body are accurately mapped out on your hand? It sounds extraordinary but acupuncturists and acupressure enthusiasts have known this for thousands of years. Would you like to be able to read your own palm to diagnose your health issues? Here is how you do it.

Eastern medicine has always put forward the idea that health problems manifest themselves when there is an energy imbalance in the body. Acupoints reflect the efficacy of internal systems in the body and so it is possible to detect the body's health condition by reading the flow of energy through the acupoints. Because all of the organs and tissues are connected by energy channels, known as meridians, it is possible to check the acupoints in the hand to determine the health and effectiveness of any part of the body through the hand.

So where are the various acupoints on the hand and what do they relate to? One example is your spine. The spine is reflected on the ridge of your thumb from the cuticle down to the wrist.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

How To Deal With Sciatica Posted By: Niall Strickland

Sciatica is often referred to as phantom pain. It can range from a dull ache to a sharp pain anywhere from the buttocks, down the leg and sometimes into the foot and toes. So what causes it and how can it best be treated?

The sciatic nerve is one of the largest nerves in your body. Sciatica is most often caused by the entrapment of lumbar spinal nerve roots. In simple terms, the underlying problem is really in your back. It can be caused by several different problems including a trapped nerve, herniation of one or more discs, fractures, spinal tumours, narrowing of the spinal canal or infection. Typical symptoms include pain, tingling and numbness in the buttocks, thigh, outer calf, foot or toes.

Sciatica often occurs in conjunction with lower back pain but frequently the sciatic pain is the main problem. Many people experience the sciatic pain predominantly when sitting down or lying in bed. Although the pain is felt in the leg and buttocks, the underlying area requiring treatment is in fact the lower back. So what are the best options for treatment? It really depends on the underlying cause.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

Discover Some Amazing Things You Should Know About Your Hand Posted By: Niall Strickland

We all know that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. However, did you know that your hand is the mirror of your health? It sounds crazy but it's true. Would you like to be able to quickly diagnose the condition of your health by studying your hand?

Traditional Chinese and Eastern medicine suggests that if a disease or imbalance develops inside the body, the signs of that disease or imbalance will manifest itself on the outside of the body. Similarly, in Western medicine, it is well known that ailments such as jaundice will turn the colour of the skin to yellow and it can also be seen in the subtle change in eye colour.

Chinese medicine focuses on Chi, also known as Qi, which is the flow of energy within the body. If Chi flows harmoniously inside the body, there won't be any external manifestation. However, if the energy channels get blocked and Chi can no longer flow freely, this leads to sickness. The state-of-Chi relating to the internal organs and systems is reflected in the Acupoints on the skin and these can most easily be measured on the hand.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

Electro Acupuncture Works For Pain Management - So How Do I Choose The Right Device? Posted By: Niall Strickland

Electro Acupuncture has increasingly been talked about as a wonderful home-based pain management tool. What options are available to pain sufferers and how should they choose the one most suitable for them?

Electro Acupuncture is defined as a system whereby a minimal electric current is sent to meridian points in the body, either with or without needles. Acupuncturists often use needles inserted into the skin, with electrodes connecting a number of the needles to a small low voltage source of electrical current. However, this is not a home remedy and therefore will not be discussed here. The home-use electro-acupuncture devices include Acupen, Acupuncture Pen, TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), and Aculife.

The Acupen or Acupuncture Pen is a pen-like device that has an acupuncture point locater function. The Acupen measures electrical resistance of the skin on the hand, allowing acupoints to be identified as you pass the device over them. It may be applied directly to areas of discomfort or to acupuncture points that correspond to soreness or discomfort in the body. It emits an electrical current which stimulates acupuncture points and it is claimed that it can unblock meridians and reduce pain.acupuncture acupoints magnetic therapy aculife acupoint therapy pain management health diagnosis

Back Pain - The Unwanted Gift Of Our Modern Age Posted By: Niall Strickland

Whether you work with your hands or sit behind a desk all day, modern living creates serious back pain for a huge number of people. Something as simple as sitting in a chair with poor back support in work or at home can seriously damage your back and cause chronic pain that never seems to go away. So how can you take control of this problem once and for all?

The first step you need to take is getting a chair that offers your back appropriate support or using a cushion that restores the natural S-curve to your back. Try not to sit for extended periods. Instead, get up and walk around or stretch every 20 to 30 minutes. Do not sit hunched over your desk or slouched on the sofa. These simple new habits can take the pressure off your spinal column and significantly reduce pain.

Pain killers and anti-inflammatory medication can temporarily mask back pain for some people but it is not the long term answer to chronic back pain. Yoga is a wonderful way of stretching your body and taking pressure off the nerves in your back.acupucture electro acupuncture aculife mckenzie back pain chiropractic

Benefits Of Electronic Acupuncture For Pain Management - Fact Or Fiction Posted By: Kevin Kinahan

Does electronic acupuncture measure up to traditional acupuncture when it comes to effective management of pain? The traditionalists view electronic acupuncture with scorn but is there really something in it?

I have been involved in providing alternative therapies to patients for both mental and physical pain for much of my working life. Much scepticism surrounds non-conventional treatments and many doctors are afraid to speak up about the facts. That said, there is an increasing number of medical doctors learning the art of traditional acupuncture and using it as an extra tool to help their patients.

Traditional acupuncturists train for many years in their chosen art and place a high value on the knowledge and the skill required to allow them to offer an effective treatment to patients for pain management. This is understandable. There is no doubt that traditional acupuncture provides significant relief for a wide range of ailments including back pain, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, tennis elbow, sciatica and arthritis.

Patient assessment takes place on the basis of the problems presented by a patient on any given day and the sites chosen for insertion of needles is dictated by the experience and knowledge of the acupuncturist.pain management acupuncture aculife acupressure acupoints

Alternative Ways To Get Rid Of Pain Posted By: Kevin Kinahan

Reflexology is described as a natural therapy that requires the application of pressure by a therapist on specific areas of the feet. Closely aligned with Chinese Acupuncture, it focuses on restoring the body to its natural state of balance by stimulating nerve endings and unblocking energy channels in the body. It has proved to be an effective therapy for reducing or eradicating many types of pain. You need to engage a reflexologist to work on your feet and this can take many sessions over a period of time to deliver the results you want.

Rolfing is concerned with structural integration of the body. One of the primary objectives of Rolfing is removing discomfort and pain. The elasticity and sliding capacity of the tissue can be restored and the body realigned in such a way that it is can function with more ease. The net effect is often the eradication of chronic pain. A full program can run to 10 sessions and requires execution by a skilled therapist.

Herbal remedies such as Capsaicin, White Willow Bark, Tumeric and Tart Cherry are used for conditions involving inflammation and pain.acupressure acupuncture pain management aculife alternative therapies electronic acupuncture
