Jeet Kune Do -the Martial Art Invented By Bruce Lee Posted By: mica6d4opa

Bruce Lee is extremely famous for his awesome Kung Fu flicks but not a lot of people know that he developed his own martial art style referred to as Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do is being taught internationally and it's really based on older martial art forms with new techniques and strategies. In this article, we will be looking at what Jeet Kune Do is all about and how it is different from other martial arts.

Even though Bruce Lee is mainly known as an actor, he was also an authentic martial artist. He was a student of a lot of traditional fighting styles, especially Wing Chun Kung Fu. He invented Jeet Kune Do, or JKD, by incorporating the most effective elements of these other arts to develop a modern and diverse fighting system. Bruce Lee wanted to have a martial art style that was effective but could be customized to fit the needs of the individual. Jeet Kune Do has had an influence on modern day fighting styles as well as Western boxing and fencing. Lee's real goal with JKD was for anyone who studies it to have their own personal interpretation of it.martial arts

Jeet Kune Do: The Martial Art Style Of Bruce Lee Posted By: lano6e93ha

While everybody knows Bruce Lee as a fantastic Kung Fu actor, he also developed his own style of martial art named Jeet Kune Do. This martial art style is now taught worldwide, and has elements from older martial arts with several new techniques and strategies. This article will focus on what Jeet Kune Do is about and what makes it different compared to other forms of martial arts.

Bruce Lee was an accomplished martial artist before he become known as an actor. He was a student of several standard fighting styles, especially Wing Chun Kung Fu. Jeet Kune Do or JKD, is a mix of all highly effective elements in the fighting methods Bruce Lee mastered. Bruce Lee wanted to have a martial art that was effective but could be personalized to fit the needs of the individual. The influence of Jeet Kune Do can be easily seen in martial arts nowadays and also fencing and Western boxing. Bruce Lee's whole objective was to develop a martial art form that any person could learn and develop their own personal style.martial arts fitness

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Beginning Posted By: Travis Lutter

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be classified alongside the sports of Judo and Taekwondo, being a martial art and combat sport. As well as being used for the art of self defense, it is great in character building in the young person, giving them a focus and aim in life.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is said to have come about due to a large immigrant population of Japanese in Brazil, its' invention being a relatively new one, in the twentieth century. It is derived form the Japanese martial art of Judo, and although is very similar in many aspects, ranking being gained by stripes and bjj belts, it sets itself aside from Judo by being a sport that is more focused on ground fighting.

The main focus of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the capability to grapple your opponent to the ground, locking them into a position from which they are unable to move, regardless of the weight of the opponents.

The Jiu Jitsu Gi is the formal uniform used when training and fighting Ju Jitsu. Again, it is very similar to that of Judo, but the legs and arms are slightly less loose.MMA Muay Thai Sports Self Defense Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Training Equipment For Mma Posted By: Travis Lutter

Just like football, baseball, and basketball, the sport of MMA is a combat sport and has it's own specific equipment for effectiveness and safety.

The main purpose of MMA gear and equipment is to provide safety for the fighter who is training. This article will cover both the essential MMA equipment as well as the optional MMA equipment you need to get before you start your training.
Essential MMA Equipment

MMA Training gloves: There is a difference between MMA fighting gloves and training gloves. Training gloves have more protection and foam to protect the knuckles and wrists.

Mouthpiece: No fighter should ever get into the ring or octagon without a mouthpiece. This piece of equipment should be required for any type of contact.

Groin Protection: This is very important for the men who are getting into the ring or octagon. You can pickup this up your local sports store.

MMA Headgear: The head gear for Mixed Martial Arts is different than the headgear for sparring head gear for Taekwondo. So, make sure you purchase headgear specifically made for mixed martial arts.
MMA Fighting Gloves:

Most MMA organization typically require between 4oz. and 6oz. MMA gloves.MMA Muay Thai Sports Self Defense

How You Can Develop Your Biceps Immediately And Sustain Muscle Mass Properly Posted By: Adams

That you are likely conscious that in an effort to make muscle tissue, your body demands to become stretched to the point that muscle fibers are truly broken down and repaired and strengthened. Which is why it is so significant to eat lots of protein inside your diet regime, especially following working out.

Nevertheless, what most people are likely to do is train to 80% or 90% of their capacity and stop there. Though this really is fine if you want a excellent cardio workout, it is not truly adequate to make impressive biceps or abs. Irrespective of what portion from the body you wish to beef up, you should be pushing closer to 99% of your repetition limits as a way to see the bulk added to your muscle mass.

The problem here is the fact that when most people can push themselves for a when, it can be complicated to help keep this up over an extended time period. There's no point having bulging muscles for some weeks or even a number of months, if you're going to go back to becoming thin or weak simply because you can not retain your physical exercise regime.gain muscle mass how to gain muscle mass gain lean muscle

The Differences Of Mma And Karate Posted By: Travis Lutter

I am talking about the differences between the sports MMA and karate.

I have been doing MMA for about a year. It has become my favorite sport, and I think it has a lot of differences from karate. In MMA you learn a variety of techniques. You learn both strikes and how to grapple on the ground. MMA stands for mixed martial arts. It is called this because you use element from Jujitsu, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, Karate, and Taekwondo. Each of these types of combat has their own strengths.
In MMA you try to leverage the best from all of them.

I used to do Taekwondo, but I don't remember much, and I don't think it really helped me with my grappling. Karate means empty hand. I personally think MMA is more useful because I don't know where you could use those karate moves in a fight because if you tried to punch, then somebody would quickly take you down. I think Karate is more like dancing and performing open forms then training for real combat.
I still have respect for people that prefer this kind of sport but think it is much less practical than MMA.MMA Muay Thai Sports Self Defense

Your Guide To Ufc Undisputed 3 Posted By: Partita Varina

The third video game being launched in the best-selling UFC series will be UFC Undisputed 3. This fighting title will be based upon the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), which is the biggest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) championship in the world. MMA is a full-contact sport whereby competitors fight using a mix of punching, kicking and wrestling fighting strategies such as judo, boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, karate, wrestling, Taekwondo plus more fighting disciplines.

Quite a few enhancements have been made since UFC Undisputed 2010 (which attained a score of 84 on Metacritic). UFC Undisputed 3 now features a huge roster of over 150 UFC fighters, two new weight classes, a brand-new submission process, fresh finishing moves, enhanced visual appearance as well as easier accessibility for beginners by including 2 control systems - the traditional UFC game controls and a brand-new easier game control scheme.

The game also incorporates a brand-new Pride Mode, which is actually a Japanese Mixed Martial Arts championship with minimal rules, including a tournament trophy as well as boasting an entirely different style of MMA combat.ufc undisputed 3 xbox 360 games ps3 games

The Many Reasons Why Mma Training Is Beneficial For Your Kids Posted By: Travis Lutter

There are MMA mixed reactions among parents regarding the idea of getting their kids involved in training.

The truth is that MMA training for kids can be very beneficial. The various forms of martial arts have been used for many centuries as a form of self-defence and exercise. Mixed martial arts or MMA is a mixture of boxing, Muay Thai, grappling, jujitsu and many more. Throughout the ages a lot of adults have used MMA to take advantage of its many benefits and there is no reason why kids should not do the same.

One of the reasons why training for kids is great for children is its health benefits. Through MMA your kids will get plenty of exercise. Exercise is very important especially for growing children. MMA training for kids keeps them physically active for long periods of time. This is a better activity than having your kids watch TV, play video games or sit in front of the computer the whole day. Kids need lots of exercise in order to be healthy and physically fit and MMA training provides plenty of that.
MMA training for kids also helps them overcome their fears.MMA Muay Thai Sports Self Defense

Muay Thai For Self Defense Posted By: Travis Lutter

Muay Thai also known as Thai boxing is an ancient form of self defense developed on the battlefields of ancient Thailand.

Nowadays, Muay Thai is used all across the world. The powerful and devastating bone breaking techniques of this martial art are used by the Thai military, the United States Navy SEALs and also the CIA. There is no color belt grading system in Muay Thai, other martial arts use belts to show the advancement and skill level of students.
Muay Thai students test their skills in the Thai boxing ring; these full contact competitions can be very brutal.

The fighters are focused on winning the championship belts which show their dominant skill of Muay Thai fighting. The striking techniques taught in this style are very powerful. This martial art involves very little in the way of grappling techniques, the emphasis is more on bone breaking kicks, powerful punches and jarring knee and elbow strikes.
A student of Muay Thai boxing is trained so as to be able to put an opponent down with just one strike, usually breaking bones and in some cases killing them with just one lethal kick or elbow technique.MMA Muay Thai Sports Self Defense
