Internet Memes: Attack Of The Grammar Sticklers Posted By: Mark Etinger

Although clever, Internet memes usually aren't of the highest stature in terms of comedic genius. They give us a rousing good laugh and we're always coming back for more. Hence, why they're a meme. But as of late a new Internet meme has been popping up that both excites me and worries me: grammar corrections. Now the "Grammar Nazi" is nothing new. That's been around for quite some time. KnowYourMeme.com best defines a grammar Nazi, or grammar police, "refers to someone who believes it is his/her duty to amend any grammar and/or spelling mistakes made by others in conversation. In most cases, the term carries a negative connotation of either being a buzzkiller who ruins a good joke by getting too technical..."

As someone with an immense appreciation for excellent grammar, just as any editor should, I can't help but love that Internet meme. I feel as though it were written about myself. But a slight variation has been rearing its head. Most notably one describing why the Oxford comma is still relevant. With it, "We invited the strippers, JFK, and Stalin." Without it, "We invited the strippers, JFK and Stalin.humor news funny videos funny video clips weird news funny news stories internet meme pop culture television music

The Dawn Of Collective Farming In Different Countries, Disadvantages And Failure Posted By: StuartOwen

As we all know, farming was one of the main occupations in large parts of the world during the 17th and 18th centuries. The industries were developed much after that. As the small scale industries developed, the concept of urbanization came into existence. Small towns were built and people left the rural areas and settled in small towns in search of job and small business. This transformation is prolonging even till today bringing in the concept of urbanization. This has resulted many small scale and large scale industries. Back in the rural areas agriculture lands have reduced, a lot of deforestation, the agricultural output has significantly decreased. However, today a lot of methods have been developed for increasing the gross national income of these agro based goods.

In this process, the method of collective farming was introduced by the Russians in the year 1917. As the farmers lacked sufficient investment to develop their lands, farmers pooled their land, domestic animals and agricultural implements to work, retaining their private property for themselves. They put in all their money in order to increase profits and then shared their profits.verizon fios internet fios internet farming

The Feminist Mindset Ensures An Invidious And Sexist State-imposed Tyranny Posted By: Shane Flait

Feminist ideology demands state-impose women-advantaged outcomes throughout society. Its propagandized excuse for this is that men's natural oppression of women and women's easy victimization prevents the state's obligation to secure our unalienable rights and their protections for everyone from allowing women to become empowered. Of course feminism's propaganda omits that state-imposed empowerment denies the fundamental rights (and protections) of men. That's the fraud that state-imposed feminism represents.

*Setting the mindset for tyranny:

Feminism introduced its totalitarian mindset when it pushed for state-imposed equal opportunity for women. The idea of equal opportunity for women was a palatable idea for most. Unfortunately feminist indoctrination and positive-sounding 'affirmative action' euphemisms obscured how state-imposed equal opportunity would create government policies, laws and mechanisms that would not only undermine equal opportunity for all but negate the principles of freedom in favor of a totalitarian control of society's outcomes.

Trying to force equal opportunity is akin to forcing happiness. It's not the same as ensuring our equal right to our fundamental rights and their protections. The fraud of equal opportunity legislature was demanding that the state impose or instigate outcomes in hiring as proof of not discriminating against women.feminism rights father fraud tyranny family court injustice fathers rights

And So It Begins - The Orwellian Liberty Death March Posted By: Bruno Korschek

Before getting into what an Orwellian Liberty Death March is, a history quiz. Please determine which historical figure said which of the following quotes: Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton.

Quote 1 - "Politics would a helluva a good business if it weren't for the [expletive deleted] people"

Quote 2 - "You know the one thing wrong with this country? Everyone gets a chance to have their fair say."

Quote 3 - "When personal freedom is being abused, you have to move to limit it."

Quote 4 - "We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary citizens."

Quote 5 - "The Constitution is a radical document. It is the job of government to reign in people's rights."

Quote 6 - "If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government's ability to govern the people, we should seek to limit those guarantees."

Quote 7 - "We're going to take things away from you for the common good."

Certainly not freedom friendly quotes or attitudes to have.obama orzag bev perdue congress elections 1984 orwell

Karl Marx was wrong about socialism, but he wasn"t always wrong about capitalism. That"s the warning from Nouriel Roubini, the NYU economics professor known on Wall Street as Doctor Doom "" but hailed as a prophet nonetheless "" for having warned that an economy expanding on giddy optimism, asset bubbles and ponzi-scheme paper was headed for a crash, and doing so at a time when the Washington-Wall Street-media consensus insisted that "the fundamentals of our economy are sound".
But having danced on the grave of the Soviet economic system that finally imploded in 1990, a U.S. corporate, political and media elite weaned on the shibboleths of free-market capitalism weren"t about to embrace the jeremiads of the bearded 19th century German sage in whose name Lenin and then Stalin had built their planned-economic nightmare.fisher capital management world news fisher capital managem

Why Fdr Is In Your Coin Collection Posted By: Mark Etinger

Franklin Delano Roosevelt is often regarded as one of the best presidents. It helps that he governed our country during one of the most important periods in world history.

Roosevelt grew up a child of privilege, in one of New York's oldest, most distinguished families. He went to Harvard, and although a C student, later became a lawyer after attending Columbia Law School. He supported Woodrow Wilson and was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Navy. During the war years, Roosevelt decided to run for Senate. He lost.

In 1920 the Democratic National Convention chose Roosevelt as Vice President on the Cox ticket. As a Wilsonian, a prohibitionist, and a moderate, he was seen as bringing balance to Cox's politics. The Democrats were soundly defeated and Roosevelt returned to New York to practice law.

In 1921, Roosevelt contracted polio. He became paralytic from the waist-down, and taught himself how to walk using a cane and swiveling his upper body. When he became President, he helped found a Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, which today is known as the March of Dimes. After 1946 his profile replaced the Mercury head and has remained in coin collections since.coin collecting coin collection coin collections coin holder
