The Von Erichs - 1 Family. 144 Titles. 5 Tragedies. Posted By: Davide Botticelli

The Adkisson family, better known as the Von Erichs, are described as the hard-bodied, golden-haired, bare-chested hunks of Texas.

The Start

The Von Erich family starts with Fritz who held many important titles in his career. Fritz was very influential during his career not only as an National Wrestling Alliance president and president of WCCW (the company he created) but especially for his very important role in Japanese wrestling where he helped the industry revive again after the death of Rikid AND #333;zan. Fritz died in 1997, aged 68, after a battle with lung cancer which spread to his brain.

Jack Von Erich

The Von Erich's family glory is blurred by a series of deaths starting from the first son who died whilst at his neighbor's house who had been remodeling and left some wiring exposed. Jackie brushed against the wiring knocking him unconscious and fell face down into a puddle of melted snow and drowned at the age of 7.

This death was not the last family tragedy as four of the other five children of Fritz died prematurely and tragically.wrestling wrestling news wwe news wwe

Japan Wrestler Antonio Inoki Posted By: Davide Botticelli

Prior to Inoki's rise to fame, wrestling in Japan was little known outside of Japan. Inoki showcased his talents all over the world for a number of decades, and in doing so he made audiences in America, as well as many other nations around the world, take notice of wrestling in Japan. Upon retiring as a supeurstar, Inoki has remained in the wrestling business, as a wrestling promotor, and Inoki has shown himself to be a man that has made a huge difference to professional wrestling.

Inoki's first sport was in fact not wrestling, and instead he began his sporting career as a basketball player. This was short lived, and by the age of 17, Inoki had a position in the Japan Wrestling Association, where he would learn the trade from which he would go onto create a legacy. At the time he was the protege of Rikidozan, who died due to stabbing whilst in America. This left Inoki alone, and up until 1966, he fought in the shadow of the bigger, stronger superstar, Giant Baba.

Wwe Raw Uk Tour , Tickets Are Avialable At Cheap Price Posted By: paklhr

WWE Raw is a professional wrestling television program for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that currently airs on the USA Network in the United States. Raw is also used to refer to the Raw brand, in which WWE employees are assigned to work and perform on that program. WWE's other programs and brands are SmackDown and ECW.

Vince McMahon, Rob Bartlett and "Macho Man" Randy Savage served as the original hosts of Raw. Sean Mooney conducted the interviews and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan also helped contribute. On April 19, 1993, Rob Bartlett made his final appearance on the program. He was dropped from the broadcasting team and was replaced by Bobby Heenan the following week, who remained until December 6, 1993, when Gorilla Monsoon kicked him out of the WWF. In reality, this was a storyline between Monsoon and his close
friend Heenan, who decided to leave the World Wrestling Federation in order to lighten his travel schedule and because he didn't want to take a 50% paycut. After about a year, Raw moved out of the Manhattan Center and traveled to various regular Federation venues in the United States.Wwe Raw Wwe Raw Tickets Wwe Raw Tickets 2010 Tickets

Eddie Guerrero Wrestler Biography Posted By: Davide Botticelli

Eddie Guerrero was born on October 9th, 1967 in El Paso, Texas. It was in his blood to become a wrestler as Eddie, his brothers: Chavo Sr, Hector and Mando Guerrero and his nephew, Chavo Jr, all became professional wrestlers due to Eddie's father, Gory Guerrero, who was already an influential and prominent figure and trainer in Mexican professional wrestling.

During Eddie's early days he wrestled in several Mexican federations such as CMLL and AAA and even worked in WCW by 1992. Eddie perfected his skills and ended up wrestling in New Japan Pro Wrestling where he was known as the 2nd incarnation of "Black Tiger". In 1996 he not only won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, but he was granted a shot at the IGWP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

In late 1994, Eddie Guerrero and his then best friend and tag team partner, Art Barr, who were known as La Pareja del Terror (The Pair of Terror), were noticed by ECW Owner Paul Heyman. Guerrero and Barr were known as the one of the most hated tag teams in Lucha Libre history.Wrestling wwe eddie guerrero guerrero

Wwe Mania : The Legends Of Wrestlemania Posted By: Jacob George

Do not let the title fool you. This game is not legendary. It is however loads of fun if you allow yourself to look past a couple of things. The development team that brought you the now iconic Smackdown series came together in the name of nostalgia to present WWE Legends of Wrestlemania.

First of all. The roster. If you woke up every Saturday morning in the 80s to watch WWF television like I did, prepare to take a trip down memory lane. There are 42 playable characters including everyones favorites like Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, Nature Boy-Ric Flair, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Bret Hitman Hart. From a personal standpoint, I was ecstatic to see characters such as Mr. Perfect, Ravishing Rick Rude, and The American Dream-Dusty Rhodes included. That is only scratching the surface.

All the legends are here, folks. Well almost all. The roster provides a few disappointments with the omissions of Macho Man Randy Savage, Harley Race, and Owen Hart, and Jesse The Body Ventura.

Another cool little perk is that you can import the entire Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 roster.games reviews video game reviews video game tournaments game tournament multiplayer games

Australian Bush Poetry Is Alive And Well Posted By: Ric Raftis

After many years of taking a spell from the minds of many Australians, Bush Poetry is once again making a resurgence and becoming popular again.

Australian Bush Poetry has been around since the European settlement of Australia. Poetry was written by farmers, squatters, drovers, shearers, horsemen and a myriad of other everyday people.

If we look back through history, the bush poetry that has survived, and there has been plenty of it, reflects quite accurately the times in which those people lived. The stories are wonderful and cover all aspects of life in Australia at the time. There are stories of droving treks, exploits of endurance, great feats of horsemanship, the pain of separation, in fact you could find a poem on almost any topic you would care to name.

Among the greats of Australian Bush Poetry we have names like A.B."Banjo" Paterson, who was probably Australia's best known and loved poet. When you mention bush poetry to Australians and ask them if they know of any, they will generally reply with either "The Man From Snowy River" or "Clancy of the Overflow", two of Paterson's greatest.bush poetry bush verse australian bush poetry australian bush verse ric raftis bush poet
