Blink-182 Tickets : Blink-182 Has Received Seven Awards From Ten Nominations Posted By: Amanda Harrison

Blink-182 is an American pop punk band consisting of vocalist and bass guitarist Mark Hoppus, vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. They have sold over 27 million albums worldwide since forming in Poway, California in 1992. With original drummer Scott Raynor they released their debut album Cheshire Cat in 1994 and achieved moderate success with its follow-up, 1997's Dude Ranch, which went on to sell over one million copies. Raynor was replaced by Barker midway through a 1998 tour.

Blink-182's musical style has been described by various sources as "pop punk"and "punk rock".When playing live, the band typically plays their songs at a faster tempo and often replaces certain lyrics with toilet humor and various gags.Blink-182 songs are known for their simple melodies, teen angst and occasional lyrical toilet humor. They are often targeting subjects such as love and growing up, these being fused into multiple hit singles such as "Dammit" and "What's My Age Again?".

Before the release of their fifth album, more emotional songs by the band include singles "Adam's Song" and "Stay Together for the Kids".Blink 182 Concert Tickets

Avenged Sevenfold Tickets : The Band Has Changed Considerably Since Their First Album Posted By: Amanda Harrison

Avenged Sevenfold Band has cited bands such as Bad Religion, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Dream Theater, Metallica, NOFX, Alice in Chains, Black Flag, Corrosion of Conformity, The Misfits, Slayer, The Vandals, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Deftones and AFI as their artistic influences.Avenged Sevenfold's material spans multiple genres and has evolved over the band's entire career.

Initially, the band's debut album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet consisted almost entirely of metalcore sound; however, there were several deviations to this genre, most notably in Streets which adopts a punk style and Warmness on the Soul, which is a piano-oriented ballad. On Waking the Fallen, the band displayed the contemporary metalcore style once more, but added more clean vocals as well as more mature and intricate musical elements.

In the band DVD All Excess, producer Andrew Mudrock explained this transition: "When I met the band after Sounding the Seventh Trumpet had come out before they had recorded Waking the Fallen, M. Shadows said to me 'This record is screaming. The record we want to make is going to be half-screaming half-singing. I do not want to scream anymore. And the record after that is going to be all singing.Avenged Sevenfold Concert Tickets

Avenged Sevenfold Tickets : Material Spans Multiple Genres Has Evolved Over The Band Entire Career Posted By: Amanda Harrison

Avenged Sevenfold band was formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California with original members M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, The Rev and Matt Wendt. M Shadows came up with the name as a reference to the story of Cain and Abel from The Bible, which can be found in Genesis 4:24, although they are not a religious band.Upon its formation, each member of the band also took on a pseudonym which were already nicknames of theirs from high school.

Before the release of their debut album, the band recorded two demos in 1999 and 2000. Avenged Sevenfold's debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, was recorded when the band members were just eighteen years old and in high school. It was originally released on their first label, Good Life Recordings in 2001.

After lead guitarist Synyster Gates joined the band, at the end of 1999 when he was 18 at the introductory track "To End the Rapture" was re-recorded featuring a full band element. The album was subsequently re-released on Hopeless Records in 2002. The band started to receive recognition, performing with bands such as Mushroomhead and Shadows Fall and playing on the Take Action Tour.Avenged Sevenfold Concert Tickets

Vans Warped Tour Tickets : It Then Started Up Again For The Northern Hemisphere Summer Posted By: Amanda Harrison

The Warped Tour is a touring music and extreme sports festival. The tour is held in venues such as parking lots or fields upon which the stages and other structures are erected. The BMX/skateboarding shoe manufacturer Vans, among others, has sponsored the tour every year since 1995, and it is often referred to as the Vans Warped Tour. The tour started out as a showcase for punk rock music, but its more recent line-ups have featured a diversity of genres.

The Warped Tour was created in 1994 by Kevin Lyman, who got the idea while working on skateboarding shows such as the Vision Skate Escape and Holiday Havoc which included music with skateboarding contests. The Warped name comes from the short-lived Warp Magazine, published by Transworld, which covered surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and music.

In 1998, the tour went international, including venues in Australia, Japan, Europe, Canada, and the United States. In 1999, the tour started off in New Zealand and Australia in the New Year. It then started up again in the United States for the northern hemisphere summer before ending up in Europe.Vans Warped Tour Concert Tickets

Blink-182 Tickets : The Band Typically Plays Their Songs At A Faster Tempo Posted By: Amanda Harrison

Blink-182 achieved greater success with 1999's multi-platinum selling Enema of the State, which reached #9 on the Billboard 200 on the strength of the singles "What's My Age Again" and "All the Small Things", the latter of which became the highest-charting song of their career by reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Blink-182 gained popularity for their irreverent sense of humor, and the follow-up album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001) reached #1 in the United States, Canada, and Germany. The eponymously-titled Blink-182 followed in 2003 and was a stylistic shift for the group, infusing experimental elements into their usual pop punk formula which resulted in a more mature sound.

DeLonge left Blink-182 in early 2005, sending the band into indefinite hiatus. He went on to form Angels AND Airwaves while Hoppus and Barker formed +44. Hoppus also pursued a career as a television host while Barker continued working in music as a producer and solo artist. Blink-182 reunited in February 2009 and are currently recording a sixth studio album. Blink-182's musical style has been described by various sources as "pop punk"and "punk rock".Blink 182 Concert Tickets

Vans Warped Tour Tickets : The Warped Tour Has Featured As Many As 100 Bands Per Show Posted By: Amanda Harrison

As of the mid-2000s, the Warped Tour has featured as many as 100 bands per show. The bands play for up to 30 minutes over approximately 10 stages, although the biggest bands generally play the two main stages. Bands typically start at 11:00 a.m. and end around 9:00 p.m., with several bands playing at once.

The individual band times and stages where each band play is marked on a large board usually centered in the middle of the venue. The stages are set up in various locations around the venue to ensure one band's music is not disrupted by the other bands performing at that time. Fans can vote online for the band they want to see play a longer set as the last band of the night.Vans Warped Tour Concert Tickets

All About The Band Strung Out Posted By: Jimmy Cox

Strung Out is more than a term for how someone feels; it is also the name of a Simi Valley, California band. This punk rock group began in 1992 and is now well known for the way they fuse punk and heavy metal to create their distinctive musical sound.

They have stayed with their original label Fat Wreck Chords and have been seen at many live performances including the famous Warped Tours.

The original band lineup for Strung Out was singer Jason Cruz; guitar players Jake Kiley and Rob Ramos; bass player Jim Cherry; and Adam Austin on drums. The Fat Wreck Chords label became immediately interested when they heard the band play. Fans may know that NOFX member, Fat Mike owns this record label.

Brad Morrison replaced Austin in the Strung Out band in 1992 but this was a short stay and then Jordan Burns was brought in to replace Morrison. "Another Day in Paradise" was their first album and it was released in 1994.

This was quickly followed by other albums like "Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues" and "The Skinny Years...Before We Got Fat".bands band bio strung out strung out merch

Rise Against: Not Just A One Trick Band Posted By: Jimmy Cox

If you have not already heard of the punk rockers that create the band Rise Against you have been out of touch with the American music scene. This band got their start as Transistor Revolt in Chicago during 1999 and changed their name in 2000 shortly before inking a record deal with Fat Wreck Chords operated by Fat Mike of NOFX. Today the members continue recording under the Geffen label that is part of the Universal Music Group.

The band lineup consists of Tim McIlrath handles lead vocals and guitar, while Brandon Barnes is the percussionist, Joe Principe plays bass and Zach Blair is another guitarist. With the exceptions of Brandon Barnes the members of the Rise Against band are active in PETA and are devout vegetarians .The band's lineup has had a few changes in the early years but the core members on board now present a solid and cohesive partnership both personally and professionally.

This independent group was first under contract to Fat Wreck Chords that has given many of the top new acts a start. The band toured hard and their work was beginning to pay off.bands band bio

Nofx Affects Punk Rockers Everywhere Posted By: Jimmy Cox

This group originated in Los Angeles and was created by Fat Mike, who handles bass guitar and vocals, and Eric Melvin. When Erik Sandin and El Hefe joined the group in the 90s, the solid line up of talent was complete.

By 1994, the NOFX music group had an enthusiastic fan base and their LP, "Punk in Drublic" shot to gold without major airplay, music industry input, or even major videos. This album has been the biggest selling recording by the band and is one of their proudest accomplishments.

To date the music created by this band has sold more than 6.5 million records. This pushes this punk rock group into an elite musical class. As an independent band, they have managed to snare success largely on their own terms. They have even been featured on Fuse TV in their own special feature, "NOFX: Backstage Passport".

The members of the band prefer to use a diverse sound that blends punk, ska, hardcore metal and skate punk into a unique sound. Their songs contain sharply pointed lyrics that frequently satirize almost every issue they can unearth.bands band bio nofx

Excellent Punk Rock Percussionists Of The Past 10 Years. Posted By: NickyWalker

At the start of the list is a comparatively fresh drummer, many might argue that he isn't truly a punk drummer and more of a metal one but I disagree, true he's keen to slow it down and do some death metal fills but at heart he's a born and bred punk rocker-
Steve Jocz -AKA "Stevo"Born 23/07/1981. Steve is mainly renowned for his work in the Canadian pop punk group Sum 41. A very fast and tight drummer, he can turn the feel of a song instantaneously. Only one of the few punk drummers that can record cheesy metal rolls and get away with handling it. Steve is also famous for his toilet comedy which is a known indicator of punk maturity/immaturity- you choose!
Travis BarkerBorn on November 14, 1975. Perhaps most renowned for his work in Blink 182 he's also banged away for lots of other groups. Travis sits in at number 4 not simply because of his intense speed and timing but because of his expansive variety of styles from Hip-hop to Punk, Country to Pop.
Tré Cool (real name Frank Edwin Wright III)Born on December 9, 1972.punk drummers punk drummers nofx blink 182 sum 41

Selected Impressive Punk Drummers Of The Past Decade.-00-631 Posted By: NickyWalker
