How The Butterfly Inspires Art Though Interior Design Ideas Posted By: Johsn92MS4

You will find many ways to embellish your house's interior, the most affordable and effective being vinyl wall art. They are easy to apply, take away and reposition as a person sees fit. They can also work on all manner of surfaces like wood, glass, stone, different types of furniture etc.

Though lick-able decals were not feasible inside my house (though I without doubt tried), other patterns and themes quickly become prominent on the walls of my house. Who needs framed paintings? Even prints can really dent one's pocketbook. A carefully selected wall sticker, but, can set up a space even better without the frame -- they seems more a part of the area. My friend Steve noticed the tree decal I had installed and he instantly remarked that he felt like climbing. My girlfriend Sheila, extra observant than Steve, noticed the quote below the tree -- a favorite of mine from Shel Silverstein's book The Giving Tree, and she was duly impressed by my artistic sensibilities. This is when I truly felt the magic of a wall decal.wall decal Singapore

Wall Art Painting Personalizes Your Home Posted By: Arold Augustin

Ever since the early humans made their homes in caves there has been wall art. From the cave paintings of Lascaux to the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel to the Muralist movement of the twentieth century walls have demanded the attention of artists. Wall art painting is an instinct that runs deep in the human race.Once the need for shelter is met the sheltering walls must be beautified and made to tell the story of those who live there. College students make their dorm rooms home by hanging up their favorite posters and photos. Elementary school teachers make their classrooms pleasant and welcoming by pinning up pictures the children will enjoy and discuss.Walk into the home of almost anyone and what you see on their walls will be a clue to who they are. A swinging bachelor pad will have different images on the walls than will the home shared by three generations. An art student might find she has the same fine art print on her wall as the astronomy student who also loves Van Gogh.Visual Graphic Arts Arts and Entertainment Interior Design and Decorating

Budget-friendly Remodeling With Rub On Wall Transfers Posted By: Dawn Hall

Wall transfers are an inexpensive way to add an artistic flair to bare, boring walls. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, and appeal to a wide range of ages, looking great in every room, from the baby nursery and kids' rooms to the kitchen and living areas.

What are wall transfers? To answer that question, let me get off track for just a minute. Have you ever heard of temporary tattoos? If you have any little ones around, there is a good chance that you have! Kids love temporary tattoos, small paper-backed designs that are easily transferred to arms, hands and legs. Using a wet cloth to loosen the design from the paper backing, the tattoo is transferred to the skin, and lasts for a couple of days.

Transfers for walls are similar to temporary tattoos. The mural design is on a paper-backed sheet. Some are transferred to the walls using water, but most use an applicator tool, not water, to rub the transfer onto the wall surface. Applied properly, it's virtually impossible to differentiate between a wall transfer and a handpainted design!wall transfers wall art transfers wall rubons home decorating

Hello From Mexico City - A Relaxing Evening In Coyoacán Posted By: Susanne Pacher

Last night after our big first discovery of Mexico City I had a couple of hours of rest before Vanessa and her mom took me to one of the most picturesque areas in the city: Coyoac¡n, an area located south of the downtown core. The traffic to get there, as you can imagine, was absolutely incredible 4 lane streets with no markings, people squeezing in and out between cars as they pleased, trucks cutting in right in front of us with just millimeters to spare¦

Fortunately we made it without a scrape and we finally got to our destination: the well-preserved colonial area of Coyoac¡n whose name literally means Place of the Coyotes. Sure enough, in the center of the Jardn Centenario there is a big fountain featuring two coyotes.

Coyoac¡n is one of the most historic areas of Mexico City and almost 5 centuries ago, Hern¡n Corts, Mexico's conquistador, and his Indian mistress La Malinche spent a lot of time here. Today the whole area is full of cafs, restaurants and bars, and there are a variety of crafts and food markets to be visited here.Travel Mexico Mexico City

Diego Rivera - Bringing Art To The Public Eye Posted By: Jason Brown

Diego Rivera was born in Mexico in 1886. He studied painting from an early age and in 1907 moved to Paris. When in Paris, Rivera encountered the works of great masters such as Czanne, Gauguin and Matisse. Rivera was intrigued by Cubism and Picasso's works, but he was looking for a new form of painting, one that could express the intricacies of his time and still reach a wide audience.

It was not until he began to study the frescoes of the Renaissance that he found his inspiration. With this influence and ability of expression in public art that Rivera returned to the Americas.

Using frescoes, which are Murals done on plaster; Rivera was able to insert his work and political views into everyday lives of the people. Rivera concerned himself primarily with the progress of human development. For Rivera, the size and public display of the murals, was the perfect canvas on which to address the fundamental social revolutions that were going on in the twenties and thirties. A devoted Marxist, Rivera saw in this medium the perfect complement to the elitist galleries and collections.Diego Rivera Diego Rivera art art art prints Art Diego Rivera

Visit Paris Museums Off The Tourist Track Posted By: Gerald Robinson

Sure, you know about the Louvre and the Impressionists at the Musee d'Orsay, but are you familiar with the Marmatton? Or Paris' Cluny Museum on the Left Bank? In addition to the famous "first tier" museums, the city of light offers scores of fascinating and less crowded smaller museums. Whether this your second (or third or fourth) trip to Paris, or if you just want to try something a little different, consider visiting one of these exciting lesser-known Paris museums.

Marmatton

Located west of downtown Paris, in the stylish and affluent 16th arrondissement, lies the Marmatton Museum, a small gem of a museum, filled with the works of Impressionist painter Claude Monet and his talented friends. Named for the owner of the spacious 19th-century town house that houses the museum, the Marmatton's collection is centered on a group of 65 Monet paintings bequeathed to it by the painter's son Michel in 1965. This core grouping includes "Impression Sunrise," the painting that gave a name to the entire art movement, as well as one of Monet's series of Rouen Cathedral studies.paris museums lesser known paris museums second tier paris museums paris museums you should know
