Nutrition Supplements ' Posted By: Maddy

Today, with the market full of various brands of nutrition supplements, it has become very difficult to decide which one is best for you. It is very important to choose the right dietary supplement that suits your circumstances and your lifestyle. It also depends on the person and the diet that he takes daily. The dosage and the quality also vary from one person to another. No matter for what reason the nutritional supplements are prescribed, the dosage varies from person to person and also depends on the condition.

There are many factors that are considered before prescribing the supplement. It is not only the physical condition and the lifestyle; the doctor analyzes many facts and then suggests the right supplement and the right dosage. It is also not necessary that the person who apparently looks healthy must be healthy from within also. Another fact is that, a bodybuilder who conducts vigorous and heavy workout training needs more quantity as compared to a person who is leading a normal hectic life of going to his office and working there.Nutrition supplements metagenics

Pittsburgh Chiropractor: Chiropractic Care In Pittsburgh Posted By: Dr. Eugene Goldberg

The Cure for All Diseases is to Just Get Healthy

The cure for all diseases is to get healthy. healthy people don't get sick. First you get "sick", than you get everything. There really is only one disease, which is a mal-functioning cell, and we have 55 trillion of them! The 2 causes of a mal-functioning cell are lack of essential nutrients, and poisons and toxins in the cell, that the cell cannot get rid of.

The essential nutrients are: 77 minerals and trace minerals, 16 vitamins, and 3 essential fatty acids (Omega 3,6 and 9). The average person has to supplement because it's almost impossible to get everything in the standard American diet-SAD. This is referred to as "The Empty Harvest". It's also important to de-toxify the body with certain protocols and once a week fasting under supervision. Even going on a semi-fast (7-10 days) with fruits and vegetables only would tremendously help the body clean out and heal and also turn the body into an alkaline state. Think of acid as bad (everything except fruits and vegetables), and alkaline good (fruits and vegetables). In our office we use: Standard Process, Metagenics, Douglas Labs and Biotics.Chiropractic Pittsburgh Chiropractic in Pittsburgh Chiropractor Pittsburgh Chiropractor in Pittsburgh Back Pain Pittsburgh Pittsburgh Chiropractor Pit

Pittsfield Chiropractor, Dr. Scott Garber, Helps Fibromyalgia Sufferers With New Alternative Procedu Posted By: Scott Garber

Pittsfield Chiropractor, Dr. Scott Garber, doesn't want to offer Fibromyalgia sufferers false hope. However, he has developed a chiropractic treatment that has been successful in treating his Fibromyalgia patients in a matter of days.

Fibromyalgia, according to Dr. Garber, is a condition related to spinal malfunction, which is actually a choking off of the spinal cord structures, but not so much the spinal cord as the meninges; the coverings of the spinal cord itself which in turn causes distress.

Although Fibromyalgia is defined as a chemical imbalance causing hypersensitivity in the nervous system that amplifies pain, the symptoms go far beyond just a chemical imbalance and pain, according to Dr. Garber. "The misaligned vertebrae pulls on the meninges, which is not that flexible, which attaches to all the nerve roots all the way down the spine," he said. Since the nerves from the spine have to pass through the meninges, the pulling causes all the nerves to fire at one time. "Now these poor people have symptoms of everything that comes from these nerves, and so you will hear them say they have pain, they have numbness, they have tingling, they have burning, they're cold, they itch;pittsfield chiropractor chiropractic clinic berkshires pain back neck pain headaches

Weighing In: The Real Health Risks Of Obesity Posted By: healthremedies

Weighing In: The Real Health Risks of Obesity

* How Fat is Obese?

Many of us are carrying around a few unwanted pounds here and there. While some extra curves may affect our jeans size and self-image, they are otherwise not much cause for concern. But when excessive body weight becomes a danger to your health, a condition we call obesity, it presents a more serious problem.

It is estimated that 30% of the population of the United States is currently obese, an alarming statistic when you understand the consequences, both to the individual and as a national health care burden.

Obesity is measured by body mass index, or BMI - a ratio of body weight to height. A BMI of 30 or greater means that you are obese.

* What Causes Obesity?

The simple answer to this question is that you gain excess weight when the calories you consume are greater than those you burn. Our culture predisposes many people to become overweight; "super-size" portions and modern conveniences (internet shopping, the TV remote, etc.), encourage overeating while eliminating the need for physical activity.obesity Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy

Anxiety: Is It All In Your Head? Posted By: healthremedies

Anxiety: Is it All in Your Head?

*What is anxiety, and when is it more than natural worry?

We all feel anxious and worried at times. Our bodies are naturally wired with the so-called fight-or-flight mechanism which is triggered in response to stressful situations. It is normal to feel anxious before an important business meeting or final exam, or when you are awaiting the results of a medical test. But when worry and fear become so constant and overwhelming that they are interfering with your ability to function normally, it is possible that you have an anxiety disorder.

Anxiety disorders are the most common forms of mental illness, affecting an estimated 18% of adults in the United States alone. There are several different types of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder, as well as specific phobias (irrational and overwhelming fears). While each type of anxiety disorder has specific characteristics, they all share many similarities in the effects they have on the body and brain.

* Symptoms of an Anxiety Disorder

The typical symptoms of an anxiety disorder include the following:

- Unfounded fear, worry, or panic;
- Obsessive thoughts;detoxification Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food

Natural Remedies For Coping With Menopause Posted By: healthremedies

Natural Remedies for Coping with Menopause
* Menopause Defined

Menopause is defined as the time in a woman's life when she has not menstruated for one year, indicating the end of fertility. Menopause typically occurs around the age of 50, but some women menstruate well into their 50s, while others experience menopause sometime in their mid-40s.

Perimenopause refers to the period of hormonal changes leading up to menopause; it can begin as early as the late 30's. Women in perimenopause may experience such symptoms as irregular periods and hot flashes.

Menopause is not a disease -- rather, it is a natural part of the aging process. The hormonal changes which accompany menopause are often responsible for a number of unpleasant physical symptoms, and women may experience some emotional distress as well.

However, it is important to remember that not all women have difficulty coping with the physical changes that occur during this time. Menopause does not signal an end to sexuality or femininity; in fact, many women embrace their new-found freedom from worries about becoming pregnant and the discomforts of menstruation.

For women who do experience uncomfortable symptoms during menopause, there are many options for treatment.menopause obesity Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food al

How A Food Allergy Test Can Improve Your Health Posted By: healthremedies

How a Food Allergy Test Can Improve Your Health

What is a food allergy?

An allergy is an abnormal reaction by the body to a substance that is not generally harmful; a food allergy occurs when the immune system identifies a particular food item as a threat and releases certain chemicals, such as histamines, to fight off the "invader." These chemicals cause the symptoms commonly associated with food allergies.

There are two different types of food allergies: those that cause an immediate reaction and those that cause a delayed-onset reaction.

- Immediate Food Allergies

Immediate foood allergies, or Type One toxic reactions, occur when the immune system releases a protein
known as an IgE antibody in response to a particular food. With an IgE food allergy, you may experience a
severe reaction upon even brief exposure to an offending food item - in the most serious cases, death may
occur. The symptoms of an immediate food allergy reaction may include any of the following:

- Difficulty breathing, wheezing;
- Swelling of the mouth and throat;
- Coughing;
- Hives;
- Flushing;
- Nausea or vomiting;
- Cramping;
- Diarrhea;
- Decrease in blood pressure;
- Loss of consciousness.Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy test/testing designs for health Neurotransmitter testing

10 Easy Steps To Detoxify Your Body And Improve Your Health Posted By: healthremedies

10 Easy Steps to Detoxify Your Body and Improve Your Health

The environment we live in is full of toxins. We inhale them in the air we breathe, ingest them with our food and water, and absorb them through the pores in our skin. Even the personal care products and cleaning supplies that we take for granted are full of poisons that are harmful to our bodies.

While we are surrounded by pollutants from the environment, the human body produces its own toxins. Our metabolic processes result in chemical wastes which can compromise our health.

The accumulation of these harmful substances in the body is known as "toxic load" - sometimes referred to as "body burden." Over time, the buildup of environmental toxins in our systems can lead to chronic or severe health problems.

Some medical researchers estimate that nearly 75% of the diseases that afflict us are largely due to the toxicity of our systems. Headaches, chronic respiratory illness, cancer, and even autism have been linked to the accumulation of unsafe chemicals in the body.detoxification Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food

Adrenal Fatigue: Do You Have It? Posted By: healthremedies

Adrenal Fatigue: Do You Have It?
Stress is the number one cause of adrenal fatigue; however, many individuals may have this condition but not realize they have a problem or that there is something that can be done about it.
Anyone that is overworked has mental or physical stress, marital problems, or a slew of other issues should pay attention to their body in order to detect symptoms of adrenal fatigue.
Symptoms of adrenal fatigue include nervousness, weakness, irritability, low body temperature, low blood pressure, apprehension, excessive hunger, difficulty gaining weight, indigestion, craving for sweets, inability to concentrate, feelings of frustration, lack of energy, mental depression, moments of confusion, poor memory, unexplained hair loss, inflammation, lightheadedness, heart fluttering, insomnia, headaches, dizziness that occurs upon standing, poor resistance to infections, alternating diarrhea and constipation, to name a few.
As with most illnesses, the symptoms can come on gradually and build over time. Some people are more susceptible to stress related illnesses than others. If the stress level in a person's life stays constant, the body begins to work harder to fight off the stress by secreting hormones that increase the blood sugar levels to ensure the body has enough energy.allergies allergic realtion neurotransmitters menopause Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy test/test

The average person spends approximately 1/3 of his or her life sleeping. Although we do not yet fully understand either the purpose or the mechanics of sleep, we do know that an insufficient amount can have far-reaching consequences: our work performance, our personal relationships, and our physical and mental health all depend on getting an appropriate amount of rest.

The inability to fall asleep or to stay asleep throughout the night is a condition known as insomnia, and it is among the most common of all medical complaints; approximately 1/3 of all people experience a period of insomnia at least once during their lifetime. Individuals with insomnia typically experience at least one of the following symptoms:

- Difficulties falling asleep;
- Inability to stay asleep, or waking up too early;
- Sleepiness during the day;
- Fatigue or lack of energy;
- Irritability;
- Headache;
- Decreased ability to concentrate;
- Increased errors or accidents;
- Depression and/or anxiety;
- Continual worry about sleep.Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy test/test

Help For Fibromyalgia Sufferers Posted By: healthremedies

Help for Fibromyalgia Sufferers

Fibromyalgia is classified as a disorder that causes chronic pain with the main sufferers believed in the past to only be women. This is an untrue statement due to the fact that fibromyalgia can affect both genders and all ages. In the US alone, there are about 10 million individuals suffering with fibromyalgia.

The strange thing about fibromyalgia is that there is no specific area of the body that is attacked by the severe pain. The pain can be extreme in the shoulders, pelvis, hands, back, and neck. Every person affected with fibromyalgia does not always have the same severity of pain. One person may describe the pain as extreme while others may only describe an uncomfortable sensation. There is no rhyme or reason to the pain as well. In some individuals, it may come and go without any type of schedule. However, the majority of sufferers have pain for around three months, and then the pain will disappear. The onset may not occur again for several months or only for a few weeks.Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy test/testing designs for health Neurotransmitter testing

How Bad Is Sugar For You, And Are Artificial Sweeteners Better? Posted By: healthremedies

How Bad is Sugar For You, and Are Artificial Sweeteners Better?

The truth is, Americans consume refined sugars in astonishing amounts; one estimate calculates that the average American downs 135 pounds of sugar annually. For a quick visual, that's 27 5-lb bags of Domino's Crystals per person, every year. Obviously, companies who market sugar substitutes have a vested interest in vilifying sugar. But is it really that bad for us? Is sugar responsible for the current obesity epidemic, and are we better off using sugar substitutes?

To answer these questions, we need to understand how the body processes sugar. Sugars are the body's primary source of energy, and they exist in two different forms:
Complex carbohydrates, which are found in cereals, whole grains, and starchy vegetables.All carbohydrates are metabolized into simple sugars. These are absorbed into the blood stream, triggering the release of the hormone insulin. The insulin instructs our cells to convert the sugars to energy.

- Simple carbohydrates, such as table sugar, corn syrup, honey, molasses - even fresh fruits contain simple sugars. On food labels, sugars are often listed as '-oses' (glucose, sucrose, fructose, maltose,
dextrose, etc.).Adrenal fatigue Xymogen Metagenics Food allergy test/testing designs for health Neurotransmitter testing

The Heart Of Heart Disease Posted By: Stephen Sinatra

A multi-billion-dollar industry has been built around the concept that large, cholesterol-filled blockages in the arteries cause heart attacks. That concept is just plain wrong. The reality is that as many as 80 percent of all heart attacks occur when smaller plaques, destabilized by inflammation, rupture and attract a blood clot that blocks blood flow to the heart.
So while cardiologists are placing stents to prop open large blockages or bypassing them altogether with surgery, inflammation AND mdash;the real culprit in heart disease AND mdash;continues unimpeded.
The Ins and Outs of Inflammation
Inflammation is the body AND rsquo;s frontline immunological response. Without it, you AND rsquo;d fall prey to each and every infection that came along. But sometimes inflammation turns from friend to foe, and that is precisely what AND rsquo;s going on in coronary artery disease.
Although there are many markers for inflammation, the best studied for relevance to cardiovascular disease is C-reactive protein (CRP). Studies have shown that men with the highest CRP levels have three times the risk of heart attack and twice the risk of stroke as men with the lowest levels. In women, a high CRP level is the single most important predictor of heart attack risk AND mdash;a healthy heart advice for heart advice on heart basic heart health being heart healthy best vitamins for heart cardiovascular information
