One Woman's Favorite Maui Activities Posted By: Daniel Logtenberg

There is a plethora of things to do on Maui from wine tasting to whale watching, but when I go to Maui I do have my favorites, which I do on every trip. Maui is a virtual cornucopia of delight for the first time traveler and the repeat offender, like myself. My favorite Maui activities include, but are certainly not limited to:

Sansei Sushi - Kihei

Doing Sushi at Sansei (Get there early because there is a line to get in!!) is a family tradition with us. Nightly dining 5:30 - 10pm, then on Thursday - Saturday evenings from 10pm - 1am the pricing of sushi and appetizers is 50% off! Get there early to get the best cuts of the night and bring your appetite. Depending on what time you arrive, the trick here for the late night special 50% off offer is to order as soon as you're seated and when the food is served, tell the waitress what your next order will be so that it's in before 1am! The wait staff is awesome. It's a one hour marathon for sure... but it's sooo GOOD!Maui activities

A Swim In The Seven Pools Posted By: Daniel Logtenberg

The majority of visitors to Maui stay on the dry and sunny side of the island, the Lahaina / Kihei side. If you are contemplating this tour you are probably going to be staying or currently are in Kihei, Lahaina, Kannapali or in many of the other areas that are situated near to some of the most gorgeous sand beaches with incredible underwater life. Taking an ocean tour is something everyone highly recommends on Maui. The cruises sail through some incredible waters, often with picture perfect days.

Imagine and expect the exact opposite in and on the way to Hana along the North Shore. Soaring cliffs, rocky beaches, rain, waterfalls pouring down everywhere and small, treacherously skinny roads. It is not like anything you have experienced before, unless you have experienced it before. There are no dinner cruises along this part of Maui's coast or even casual snorkeling to be done here. It's rough, with some of the worlds largest waves, ridden only by the very best of the best surfers, many of them make their homes along this coast.Valley Isle The Road To Hana Hana Maui Seven Pool

Free Online Advertising For Your Business Posted By: Bob Sommers

Imagine being able to promote your business on hundreds of highly search websites for free. Sites like Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Merchant Circle, Insider Pages, Yelp, City Search, Trip Adviser, Yellow Pages, Yellow Book, Yellow Bot, Super Pages and hundreds of other sites.

Now imagine that your potential customers can access your ad from their computer, their smart phone and from the GPS device in their car.

Here's the Good News
If you work out of your home or have a brink and mortar business that caters to local customers, you CAN advertise your business on all of these sites and many others for FREE!

There is an entire segment of Internet Marketing known as "Local Search Marketing" that allows you to do just that. Odds are pretty good that you've already used it to find a product or service you were looking for, but just didn't know what you were looking at at the time.

Free Online Advertising
Go to any of the sites I listed above and do a search for the products and service you offer. As soon as you do, you will notice that all of these sites show businesses that provide these services.free advertising free online advertising local search marketing google maps

Biggest Google Map Mistakes Local Business Owners Make Posted By: Bob Sommers

On a recent TV interview I was asked what I thought the biggest mistakes business owners make with respect to marketing their business on the Internet. And even though my answer was accurate, it was far from comprehensive. So, after giving the question some thought, I decided to answer it more fully here.

To start, there are dozens of ways you as a local business owner can market your products and services over the Internet. And when I use the term "market" I'm writing about free ways to promote your products and services, not paid advertising.

Along those same lines, I want to address the question more specifically. "What are the biggest mistakes business owners make when marketing their business on-line via Local Search Marketing, for example, Google Maps."

To start, if you call on local customers and you're not implementing Local Search Marketing techniques including Google Maps, Bing Local and Yahoo Local you're missing out on the most effective form of Internet Marketing available to your business.Google Maps Local Search Local Search Marketing Bob Sommers

Weather Planning For Maui Weddings And Events Posted By: Benjamin Charles

People from around the world plan to have Maui weddings and events because Maui, Hawaii is a year round haven for favorable weather conditions. Some areas of the island even experience sunshine 360 days of the year! As a result, most of the larger events that occur on island, take place in an outdoor, or semi-out door venue. Why not take advantage of being able to have your celebration outside, since Maui's breath taking landscape is infamous as one of the scenic wonders of the world!

If you are planning to have an outdoor event on island, there are a few things to prepare for weather wise. Though Maui weddings and events can take place in every season, there are a few sides of the island that experience a tiny "monsoon" season of their own, during the winter months. This is important to know if you are planning to have an outdoor event, and desire to avoid the getting wet.

If you are you desire gorgeous, non-rainy weather for your Maui celebration, there are a few simple rules to live by. Winter is generally the rainiest season in Hawaii.Maui Wedding And Events Massage Maui Spa In Maui

Maui Vacation Tips For The Financially Challenged Posted By: Stephen Daniels

Although actually getting there can be expensive, it is easy to find wonderful Maui activities for the financially challenged, making it clear why sometimes the best things in life are free - or at least cheap. Making the most of Maui does not have to cost a bundle if you avoid most of the tourist traps and set off to explore the island's natural beauty.

Cheap hotel rooms are generally hard to come by in Hawaii, but deals can be found at many Maui vacation condo rentals. Because they often include all the comforts of home, staying in a condo rental gives you the chance to experience Maui more as a local than as a tourist. These accommodations often include a fully equipped kitchen, for example, allowing you to prepare your own meals. You can shop at the local farmer's market for fresh, affordable food and local delicacies, and avoid expensive chain stores and restaurants.

If you are staying on the south side of Maui - especially in Kihei, Wailea or Lahaina - consider renting a bicycle instead of a car. The terrain is very flat, and you can cruise along neighborhood streets and avoid the traffic.Maui activities Maui vacation condo rentals affordable Hawaii vacations

How To Get Your Business Listed On Gps Devices Posted By: Bob Sommers

I'm hearing more and more business owners complain about their business not being seen on GPS devices like Garmin, TomTom and other in-car mapping programs. Unfortunately, because of this they're losing a lot of business. With GPS devices becoming more and more popular, you can't afford to be MIA. Not to worry. You can easily get your business listed on these devices. Here's how.

There are three primary ways you can get your business listed on these GPS devices. The process is simple, but it does take a little time and access to a computer with Internet access.

The first thing I encourage you to do is to contact InfoUSA. InfoUSA is a business data aggregation company, and a business list and leads company. They acquire business data from multiple sources and then make that data available to the businesses that want to use that data for marketing purposes.

Just go to InfoUSA and add your business information. If it's already there, check for accuracy and allow them between one and three months to get the information out to the GPS manufacturers and mapping software companies.

You will receive a verification call from InfoUSA after you submit your information.GPS Garmin TomTom NAVTEQ TeleAtlas InfoUSA

Is Angie's List Costing You Business? Posted By: Bob Sommers

I'm a huge fan of the business review site, Angie's List. I find it amazing that a company can charge a fee, and consumers will pay that fee to look at business reviews on their website, when they can see similar reviews on dozens of other sites for free. But they do, and we do too. And because of that, I have a concern for you the business owner.

Who's Your Daddy?
I don't know what the numbers are, but I have to believe that many, many more people look on Google for a local service provider than look on Angie's List. That being said, it's important to note that many of the good and great businesses listed on Angie's List are ecstatic with the results, especially if they have great reviews. Here's the problem.

When a business owner gets a great reviews on Angie's List, that review encourage others with a paid subscription to Angie's List to hire them. They do a great job and ask their customer to review their service on Angie's List for others with paid subscriptions to see.Angie's List Local Search Local Search Marketing

Going to the Hawaiiian island of Maui for a dream vacation? Looking for Maui cheap hotels? Are you wondering if you would find one?

The Maui hotels are beautiful, and they are not expensive all the time. If you are looking for cheap hotels in Maui, it makes sense perfectly!

The island Maui is the ultimate tourist resort, with spectacular ocean views, superb facilities and endless white-sandy beaches, with the main tourist areas being Lahaina, Kaanapali, and the Kihei Strip on the west side of Maui. Maui's warm coastal waters attract humpback whales and a host of other wildlife and Maui is known throughout the world for being a major location for whale watching.

Other attractions around Maui include superb windsurfing and water sports facilities, two enormous mountains, a scenic road to Hana, tropical gardens and national parks. Maui was the first major development project outside of Waikiki and Honolulu, on nearby Oahu, and is close to the neighboring Hawaiian islands of Lanai, Molokai and Kahoolawe.

During the summer months the Maui climate is very warm, with plenty of fine, sunny days from May through September.Maui cheap hotels luxury reservations

Local Search Marketing - Don't Get Scammed Posted By: Bob Sommers

It's important to understand that there are some very legitimate local search marketing companies who can help you generate tons of leads for your business. The people who do this are generally in high demand and don't go out soliciting new business. Most, if not all of their business comes from the Internet or through word of mouth.

It's also important to note that there are people in the local search marketing community who claim to be experts when in fact, they're not. Some are just working with limited knowledge, while others are professional scammers. You want to avoid both and here's why.

Do No Harm
If someone does not know what they're doing, they can unintentionally destroy your reputation with the search engines by doing things that are not in accordance with their terms of service. Some of these things include adding keywords to your business name, placing your business in multiple locations where your business does not exist, keyword stuffing your category selections, using one telephone number at multiple locations and more.

If the search engines catch you doing any of these things, they will remove your listing from their database forever.Local Search Marketing Scammed Scam Bob Sommers
