Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques - Candlestick Trading Posted By: James Roshwood

Japanese candlestick charting techniques have been around for almost as long as candlestick charts themselves. This method of tracking price movements was invented by a Japanese commodity trader named Homma Munehisa who was also known as Sokyu Homma and Sokyu Honma and traded rice in 18th century Japan. He needed a way of marking not just price but open, close, high and low prices over a time period that was easy to read at a glance and the first candlestick trading technique was born.

It was quickly found that this method of recording price values could also give rise to various techniques for predicting future demand, that is, whether the price is going to rise or fall in the near future. Clearly, this intelligence is very valuable for commodity traders , as well as traders in stocks and foreign currency traders. Seeing the potential, Charles Dow of the Dow Jones company picked up the method around 1900 and introduced it to the American stock market.

A very important and popular Japanese candlestick charting technique uses what is known as support and resistance lines. These lines are of most use when the price is fluctuating in steady waves.Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques japanese candlestick charting candlestick trading japanese candlestick charting techniques free candlestick c

Fences Tickets - Film Star To Grace August Wilson's Fences Posted By: Brent Warnken

The Broadway revival Fences is sure to see some serious strength when two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington joins the cast. And for the late '80s Pulitzer winning story, the star power might be exactly what the show needs in order to get the commercial exposure for a return trip to the stage. The famed actor well-known for his silver screen roles in Training Day and Glory hasn't performed on stage since the 2005 revival of Julius Caesar and 1988's Checkmates. Washington is set to play Troy Maxson, a former baseball player who struggles with the changes times amidst war and family developments. The August Wilson written work won a Tony Award for Best Play in 1987, the year it debuted, and starred James Earl Jones in the role Washington will play. If you want to check out this production when it comes to Broadway this year, check out Fences tickets online today.

Other than Washington's confirmation, there has been little news regarding any other staff additions to the show.Fences theater play tickets entertainment Broadway

Mel Ramos Sets Himself Apart From Pin-up Art Legends Posted By: Hector Cantu

Many art historians consider Mel Ramos a part of the pop art movement, grouping him with Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, and James Rosenquist.

His nudes first caught the public eye in the 1960s when pin-ups were a popular part of American culture. In recent years, original pin-up art by artists such as Gil Elvgren, Earl Moran and Enoch Bolles have attracted attention from collectors, and auction prices for their images of scantily clad women have shot up.

But Ramos doesn't consider himself a pin-up artist. "No," he says from his California studio. "I'm not part of that group."

Ramos, 74, says his inspiration was another art form. "I was attracted to comics back then, because of the eroticism before the Comics Code was imposed," Ramos says. "After that, comic books got kind of boring. The drawings in those early comics books of Sheena and all those sexy comic queens, that's what attracted me. Originally, I was just doing comic book images the way they appeared and then I decided I wanted to make them look more realistic, so I started adding the faces of celebrities, which I still do.Mel Ramos Pamela Anderson Heritage Auctions Gil Elvgren pin-ups pinups

James Taylor Tickets - The Troubadour Reunion Posted By: Brent Warnken

Wouldn't it be great to reunite with old friends and get paid for it? That's just what James Taylor and Carole King thought as they put together the 'Troubadour Reunion' tour, an event originally sparked from the 50th anniversary celebration of West Hollywood's landmark two years ago. Now the two veteran performers, along with a few friends, will kick off a new "Troubadour" event this March in Australia, courting New Zealand, Japan and the U.S., as well. Get James Taylor tickets today online to see the acts together.

"This tour...has been waiting to happen for a long time but the years seem to have vanished. When we reunited for the Troubadour 50th Anniversary celebration in 2007, it was, and still is, all about the music and the celebration of performing together," Taylor said in a press statement. Now the two have reignited that original passion, an emotion close to their fans, for a blast back into the past. The two first performed together at the Troubadour Club in 1970; the event not only marks a legendary performance for the Troubadour but also for King, who performed solo for the first time that evening.James Taylor music concert tickets

St. Louis Rams Tickets - Rams Defeat Lions 17-10 Posted By: Brent Warnken

Steven Jackson scored a 25-yard touchdown with 1:38 left of the game and the St. Louis Rams defeated the Detroit Lions 17-10. Get St. Louis Rams tickets and see Jackson score a TD. The Rams (1-7) snapped their 17-game losing streak and avoided matching their worst start in franchise history. Detroit (1-6) spent their bye week trying to figure out how to fix their many problems.

They fell for a trick play when St. Louis holder Donnie Jones took the snap and flipped it to kicker Josh Brown, who connected with Daniel Fells for a 36-yard touchdown pass. The Rams took the lead 10-2. Brown wasn't surprised how badly the Lions fell for the play. He said he watched tape of how Detroit "came every single time when they were set up that way. It was ours for the taking."

Detroit coach Jim Schwartz stated that he expected Brown to kick the ball. The coach added that if St. Louis missed the kick, Detroit had good field position to do something of their own. The Lions scored their only points on offense early in the fourth quarter when Matthew Stafford took off for a four-yard TD run.St. Louis Rams football sports tickets NFL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tickets - Rookie Qb Leads Bucs Past Green Bay 38-28 Posted By: Brent Warnken

Rookie Josh Freeman threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns and helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Green Bay Packers 38-28, ending the league's longest losing streak at 11 games. Get Tapa Bay Buccaneers tickets and see Freeman throw a TD pass.

Wearing one of those ghastly creamsicle throw-back jerseys, Freeman stepped back to pass and found Sammie Stroughter for a 7-yard TD pass on fourth-and-4 for the go-ahead score. The 21-year-old Freeman said he felt relaxed, also stating, "I just played within myself, and when we had opportunities I took them." Freeman became the youngest QB to open a game for the Bucs, a team that has had 10 different players start at the position since winning the Super Bowl in 2003. He's the third quarterback to start for Tampa Bay this year.

Freeman went 14-of-31 with just one pick. A.J. Hawk could have had an interception for Green Bay (4-4), but he was called for illegal contact and the penalty wiped out the play during the Bucs' go-ahead drive. Three plays later, Freedman connected with Michael Clayton for a 29-yard TD strike.Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL sports tickets football

College Football Week 11 - Southern Cal's 7 Years Of Excellence Ends, Stanford Wins, 55 - 21 Posted By: Ed Bagley

Copyright AND copy; 2009 Ed Bagley

It's over for Southern California. Coach Pete Carroll will be dining with some lesser light Hollywood celebrities in the near future.

Gone are the USC streaks of 7 straight BCS bowls, 7 straight 11-win seasons, and 7 straight top-4 AP poll finishes. Gone also is USC's 7-year stranglehold on the Pac-10 Conference title.

After 60 excruciating minutes of watching Stanford's Toby Gerhart AND #8212;The Cardinal Battering Ram AND #8212;run all over USC's home field for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns, Pete Carroll and his Trojans were handed their second major trouncing in two weeks. There was no stopping Gerhart as 25th-ranked Stanford (7-3) did a number on the 11th-ranked and soon dropping USC (7-3) Trojans, 55-21. Adding insult to injury, it was USC's 2009 homecoming game.

Just two weeks ago, USC was upset at Oregon 47-20. Saturday's loss to Stanford was the Trojans' worst since a 51-0 drubbing at home against Notre Dame in 1966, 43 years ago.

Pete Carroll had to be bummed out. He lost in November for the first time after 28 straight victories in the toughest month for every college football coach during the season.NCAA football Stanford USC Florida Alabama Texas TCU Cincinnati Boise State Georgia Tech

Nfl Tickets - Fantasy: Second Half Sleepers Posted By: Brent Warnken

Here are some players whose value I think will increase in the second half of the season, and could be worth acquiring in your fantasy football league.

Jamal Charles, Running Back, Kansas City Chiefs: Larry Johnson is on his way out of Kansas City, which should open up the door for Charles' chance at the starting job. He's a real speedster and a shifty runner. While he may not be able to hold up as a guy who gets 20 carries per game, he could be valuable as a primary runner and a good receiver out of the backfield.

Michael Crabtree, Wide Receiver, San Francisco 49ers: Crabtree has looked really good in his first two games as a pro. Coming out of Texas Tech, I viewed him as one of the more NFL-ready receivers we'd seen in a while, but not this ready. He's already the number one receiver and he could get even better as the season goes forward.

Justin Forsett, Running Back, Seattle Seahawks: Forsett moves into the second spot on the depth chart now that the team has waived Edgerrin James.NFL sports tickets football game sporting event regular season

Norah Jones Tickets - Norah Jones' New Album Gets Remixed Posted By: Brent Warnken

Although Norah Jones' new album, The Fall, arrived as recently as Nov. 17, the chanteuse's songs are already receiving the remix treatment from artists like Beck, Santigold and the Beastie Boys. Jones told Entertainment Weekly that she initially wanted to work with Beck on The Fall, but eventually enlisted musicians who worked with the Record Club composer instead. Luckily for Jones, Beck joins the ranks of artists remixing songs from her fourth studio album.

Released via Blue Note Records, Norah Jones' new album features jazzy selections like the haunting track "Light as a Feather," which she co-wrote with alt-country artist Ryan Adams. The Fall showcases a new backing band comprised of drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), guitarists Marc Ribot (Elvis Costello, Tom Waits) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer) and keyboardist James Poyser (Al Green, Erykah Badu). Will Sheff of Okkervil River and Jesse Harris, Jones' longtime collaborator (also responsible for her hit song "Don't Know Why"), also make cameos.

Jones worked with producer Jacquire King, known for his worth with rock bands like Modest Mouse and Kings of Leon, for The Fall.Norah Jones music concert tickets

Green Bay Packers Tickets - Packers Blow Past Browns 31-3 Posted By: Brent Warnken

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, Ryan Grant rushed for 148 yards, and the Green Bay Packers beat the Cleveland Browns 31-3. Get Green Bay Packers tickets and see Rodgers throw a TD pass. The feeble Browns have scored only four offensive touchdowns and 72 points this season (Week 7).

Rodgers went 15-of-20 for 246 yards and three TDs. The quarterback hit Donald Driver for a 71-yard score and connected with Spencer Havner for a 41-yard TD strike in the first half. In the fourth quarter, Rodgers found James Jones open for a five-yard touchdown pass, which capped a 99-yard drive after Green Bay (4-2) stopped Cleveland at the 1. The Packers' offensive line did not give up a sack after allowing a league-high 25 coming into the contest against the Browns.

Green Bay's offensive line also opened huge holes for Grant. If the run wasn't there, Rodgers had plenty of time to throw and picked apart the Browns' secondary. Cleveland (1-6) is not playing good football. They were dominated by Green Bay, who outgained them 460-139. After leading 7-3, Rodgers threw a TD pass to Driver.Green Bay Packers sports tickets NFL football

Nfl Tickets - Week 8 Fantasy Pickups Posted By: Brent Warnken

Here are some players that might be worth adding to your roster if they're available in your fantasy football league.

Alex Smith, Quarterback, San Francisco 49ers: Smith has a second chance to make good on the talent that once made him the number one overall pick. He won the starting job in San Fran after a dazzling three-touchdown performance in the second half after taking over for Shaun Hill against the Texans. He's got the talent and he's finally healthy. He hooked up with Vernon Davis often in Week 7 and he'll probably continue to do so. With Davis, Michael Crabtree and a good pass-catching Frank Gore, Smith has the targets to be a good fantasy player.

Vince Young, Quarterback, Tennessee Titans: Vince Young will also get a chance to make good on being selected high in the draft. He was benched last season and had a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride, but he's getting a shot. The Titans have not been great on offense, but Young is a dynamic player when he's on the field. He can get you points from rushing yards, which can add up quickly.NFL sports tickets football

Nfl Tickets - Week 6 Fantasy Pickups Posted By: Brent Warnken

Here are some players that could be worth picking up in your fantasy football league.

Kyle Orton, Quarterback, Denver Broncos: Orton doesn't have the tools that prototypically sell tons of NFL tickets, but he's really getting the job done in Denver. His team is 5-0 and he's registered a solid fantasy performance every week this season. He's got the weapons to succeed and it looks like the offensive unit is really gelling in Josh McDaniels' scheme. For all the trouble that McDaniels caused in the offseason, he's certainly making up for it when it counts.

Austin Collie, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts: Collie seems to be developing into a reliable target for Peyton Manning and he appears to be carving out a significant role in this offense. He runs good routes, and with a guy like Manning, that will always bring him opportunities. Collie seems to be a more consistent threat than the big play-oriented Pierre Garcon, so he's essentially the third option in this potent passing attack, at least until Anthony Gonzalez returns.

Eddie Royal: Royal finally broke out of his funk in Week 5, catching 10 balls for 90 yards.NFL sports tickets football game sporting event

Miami Hurricanes Football Tickets - No. 17 Hurricanes Beat No. 8 Sooners Posted By: Brent Warnken

Jacory Harris threw three touchdowns, Javarris James ran for a career-best 150 yards and No. 17 Miami defeated No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners. Miami coach Randy Shannon said the win was huge for his team. Reigning Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Sam Bradford watched the game from the sideline. Bradford injured his right shoulder in the season opener against BYU.

The Hurricanes (3-1) scored 21 straight points, and then had James run out the final four minutes against an Oklahoma defense that came into the game as the nation's best against the run. Hurricanes' linebacker Jordan Futch stated that the Sooners couldn't stop the run and it was Miami's time to shine. Oklahoma's loss ended any national title hopes. Get Miami Hurricanes football tickets and see Harris throw a touchdown pass.

Sooners' backup quarterback Landry Jones threw for 188 yards and DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown combined to rush for 151 against the Hurricanes, but their valiant effort wasn't good enough to secure a victory. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops told the press the Hurricanes made big plays down the stretch. The coach acknowledged that his team couldn't come up with the plays to win the game.Miami Hurricanes football sports tickets college

An Introduction To Tool Posted By: Jimmy Cox

The modern heavy metal band Tool was first formed in 1990. Through September of 1995, the band members consisted of Danny Carey on drums, Paul D'Amour on bass, Maynard James Keenan on vocals), and Adam Jones on guitar. However, D'Amour didn't like the direction the band was going in, and his disagreements with the creative process were holding up songwriting efforts. He left the band and was replaced in November of 1995 by Peach bassist Justin Chancellor.

The band has been very unique in all of rock music for taking the sub-genre known as "progressive metal" and infusing it with the post-Punk alternative metal stylings of the 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century. Progressive metal is a mixture of "progressive rock", a style that coalesced in the early 1970s as what can best be described as rock music heavily inspired by classical music and serious literary poetry, and another 1970s invention: heavy metal, which while never originally as simplistic or stupid as it came to be for many bands in the 1980s did rely on certain amounts of "pure noise", repetitious guitar riffs, bombastic instrumental soloing and singing, piston-like driving rhythms, and often gloom-and-doom themes.bands band bio

Baylor Bears College Football Tickets And Seating Chart Posted By: Gen Wright

The Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles was on hand to meet with the local media recently about Baylor's Big 12 opener at Oklahoma. After being on tour around the country with stops at locations such as North Carolina, Ohio and Louisiana, Briles mentioned that it was good to be back home and about the team being ready to play on their own ground.

"I think coming out of the four non-conference games, we have some setbacks with some season-ending injuries. I think that from a defensive standpoint we have really seen at times what our defense can do and we've seen at times what our defense doesn't need to do. I think we're ready to get going on Saturday," senior linebacker Joe Pawelek said.Baylor Bears tickets Floyd Casey Stadium
