Evra Contraceptive Patch - Best Alternative To Pills Posted By: kitesk

Women who are sexually active often find it inconvenient to depend on daily contraceptive pills as they might forget to take a pill every day. The contraceptive skin patch is an effective alternative to birth control pills. Evra patch is a clinically proven contraceptive skin patch which is almost 100% effective in preventing unplanned pregnancy. The biggest advantage of this patch is that you do not have to use it daily. It will not interrupt your daily routine and it remains attached to your skin whether you bathe, travel, swim or exercise. You will just need to use the patch for three weeks of the month and it has to be changed every seven days.

The contraceptive patch works by supplying synthetic oestrogen and progestogen into the bloodstream through your skin. They work in a very similar way as the conventional oral contraceptive pills. It prevents ovulation by tricking your body into thinking that ovulation has already occurred. As a result, an egg is not released from the ovaries for the purpose of fertilisation. Evra also makes the cervical mucus viscous due to which the entry of sperm in the womb becomes challenging.contraceptive patch evra patch evra patch uk contraceptive patch online

What You Need To Know About Dog Seizures Posted By: logandevin00

Dog seizures may be distressing to deal with, particularly when the main cause is unidentified. It could be a serious or tiny ailment, but this need to be clinically determined. It's even more difficult for the pet parent who has to watch their love one go through pain.

Not all attacks are usually due to epilepsy, yet epilepsy is generally connected with fits. Listed below are just a couple of suggestions why your pup may have experienced a fit:

You might be asking what to look out for if you never saw an episode before. Here's what happens: lack of consciousness, froth from the mouth, trying to gasp for breath, their legs may get very stiff and unmovable, and these are just a few characteristics of a seizure. These ones are apparent but it could be less obvious.

The amount of time a seizure endures is usually just a few mere seconds. Whilst it may be unpleasant to view, the most serious seizures can last a maximum of 2 minutes. in the optimum. This might appear to be an eternity, however if you're informed, you'll try to be calm and understand that it will be just a few seconds more.dog seizures canine seizures dogs

The Human Body Needs A Minimum Quantity Of Vitamin B-12 Posted By: prolificrandy

Among the B complex group of vitamins required by the human body, B-12 plays an important role. It is stored in the liver and found in small quantities in every tissue and hence plays an important role in the functions of almost all organs in the body. Its primary function is to produce vital DNA, aid in maintaining a healthy nervous system and in the formation of red blood cells. Deficiency in this vitamin can cause complications.

There are some hormonal changes are evident with deficiency of B-12. Muscle weakness, fatigue, swings in moods and memory disorders. There is a marked increase in the levels of an amino acid called homocysteine that increases blood stickiness. These symptoms generally do not show up immediately as the reserves present in the body are first used up. It is when the levels drop below 250 picograms per ml of blood that the problem begins. Detecting the deficiency at an early stage and supplementing it is important.

The actual daily requirement of vitamin B-12 by the body is a mere 2.4 micrograms. This is present in our daily food. Rich sources are liver, red meat and fish.FiOS Internet Internet Health and Wellness Supplements

Five Teas That May Help Give Your Memory A Boost Posted By: Edwin Bartolome

The modern world is an exciting place to be in and for many individuals, an optimally-functioning brain and a reliable memory are needed to fully harness one's abilities to be the best that one can be. Unfortunately, many adults suffer from memory lapses, deficiency in concentration, and inability to focus.

The brain is a highly complex organ that needs to be nourished and cared for so that it can function properly. However, the accumulation of toxins in the body from pollutants, drugs, and other sources restrain the proper circulation of blood and inhibit its flow to the brain.

Consequently, the brain receives progressively less of the vital nutrients and antioxidants it needs to function properly. When the brain does not function and perform properly, memory loss and a whole host of problems result.

For centuries, some herbs and infusions have been generally recognized as possessing properties that may help support brain and memory functions. Here are 5 of them.

Ginkgo Biloba Tea

Ginkgo Biloba is an herb derived from the ginkgo tree that grows in the Zhejiang region of Eastern China.memory teas teas help memory brain teas

Subarachnoid Haemorrhages - The Importance Of An Early Diagnosis Posted By: Julie Glynn

Every year in the UK, 8,000 people will suffer a subarachnoid haemorrhage. It is an uncommon but extremely serious condition that requires immediate medical treatment. If there is a delay, a patient's condition will quickly deteriorate, leading to brain damage or even death.

Diagnosing a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage.

A subarachnoid haemorrhage is a medical emergency, as early treatment is the only way to prevent serious complications ensuing. It is therefore essential that medical professionals diagnose the condition as soon as possible.

When a patient presents to A AND E or to their GP with symptoms of a subarachnoid haemorrhage, the treating doctor should quickly recognise that the patient is suffering a significant neurological event (such as a subarachnoid haemorrhage).

These symptoms include:-

* Sudden onset of a severe headache;

* Pain in the eye;

* Problems with vision;

* Nausea and vomiting;

* Stiff neck;

* Slurred speech.

These symptoms are widely regarded as being indicative of a subarachnoid haemorrhage, and so should prompt medical professional to take further tests.

Firstly, a patient should undergo a physical examination to test their vital signs and their reaction to light.Subarachnoid Haemorrhages Subarachnoid Haemorrhages medical negligence
