How To Become A Tesol Teacher Posted By: kathleenchester

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a specialized course that helps students become proficient in teaching the English language. As the world experiences a huge surge in demand for English language teachers, ESL (English as Second Language) and TESOL courses are becoming quite popular with residents of places like the UK and the US. After all, at the end of the course, there is a good job waiting for teachers, the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world and also the comfort of decent pay.

Here is how you can become a certified TESOL teacher.

The first step is to obtain a TESOL certification. The purpose of this certification is to give prospective teachers a broad idea of innovative and recent pedagogical techniques. Also, teachers are given specialized training on the various requirements of students who learn English as a foreign language. Fortunately, TESOL classes may be taken along with other undergraduate courses of study.

In addition to the above, prospective teachers must also possess a high school diploma. Once the TESOL certification is complete, teachers must gain actual teaching experience.TEFL Lessons TESOL Lessons ESL Training TEFL Training TESOL Training

Esl Jobs All Over The World Posted By: Damon Roskilly

ESL is the acronym for English as a Second Language. Alternatively this may be called EFL which is the acronym for English as a Foreign Language. Whichever name is used it still means that you are teaching English to non-native English speakers or to someone who has another language as their first language. Sometimes you may be teaching English to someone who wishes to strengthen their English speaking skills although they may already speak English. They may not understand English very well.

ESL jobs are available in countries all over the world. Not all of these schools in various countries require that the teacher be a certified English teacher. Most ESL jobs require that you have at least a Bachelors Degree. Other ESL jobs require that you have a Bachelors Degree plus some form of a certificate.

Teaching jobs are available throughout the world. Many teachers with teaching certificates from a school in the United States are teaching English as a second language in many other countries simply using their US-generated teaching certificate.

Many others are teaching English as a second language after obtaining an additional certificate such as a TEFL Certificate.ESL English as a Second Language teacher teaching English education jobs careers
