Burial At Sea: Providing Families With Closure For Lost Loved Ones With Fewer Impacts Posted By: Max Nolan

Thousands of tons of metal and millions of feet of wood are being placed under the earth to stay there for eternity. Not only is this wasteful, but the impact it has on the environment is severely detrimental.

Over time, society's casual association with burial will demand change; its impact on natural resources and economic state will no longer be worth the sentimental value that grave sites hold. Burial at sea provides an economically and environmentally sound solution to the rising threat that typical burial presents.

What is burial at sea?
Burial at sea is a practice of disposing of the dead into the ocean. Whether this involves using a casket, wrapping the body in cloth, scattering of cremains, or sinking crematory urns, burial at sea effectively disposes of human remains without creating a detriment to the environment.

Various religions and countries have used this form of funeral for centuries, but due to a rise in awareness, the popularity of ocean burial has grown significantly. Not only is it used for military ceremonies, but families are also able to establish the final resting place for their loved ones at sea.

What about my religious beliefs?burial at sea reef burial funeral arrangement ocean cremation

Lion Grove Garden is considered to be one of the most important historical sites representing the ancient styles of garden design.

It is believed that Lion Grove Garden was built as far back as in 1342, during the period of the Yuan Dynasty. The precincts are in fact said to have been built by a Monk named Tianru along with a cluster of Zen Buddhist disciples in memory of their revered master known as Monk Zhongfeng. The site is said to have got its name based on the rocks in the premises that have the shape of lions. It has been an important place for Buddhism and the setting has inspired poetry as well as paintings.

Kun Iam Statue - The Divine Statue At Macau Water' Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Gracefully poised upon a lotus dome in a water front, with a divine grace and kindness written all over its countenance, the Kun Iam Statue is more a presence than a statue. This Goddess of Mercy moves you and tugs at your heart strings in a powerfully touching way so that you go on to develop a bond with it even within a short while. Viewed from a distance it invites you to its vicinity, which is very unobtrusive yet strangely alluring.

This exotic statue is a recreation of the most popular deities in Buddhism and is found towering at a height of 20 meters from a manmade island in Macau. The statue is the concept of Christina Rocha Leiria who is a recognized Portuguese sculptor, architect and poem. The Kun lam statue is poised atop a lotus dome with sixteen petals that adds to its serene demeanor and it is also purposely aligned with Guia Hill and Kun lam temple that accords well with auspicious reasons. The statue depicts a slender feminine form and weighs 50 tons and has different castings done on it to withstand the strong winds.Kun Iam Statue <a href="http://www.articlesnatch.com/topic/Statue+at+Macau+water"s+edge" rel="tag">Statue at Macau water"s edge

Traditionally Appealing Indian Paintings! Posted By: Satyajit Banerjee

Indian paintings are different and unique from region to region and vary among people with different religions. Each painting showcases its own style and essence keeping alive the assets of India.

Paintings in India vary completely in their form, design and texture. However, two broad categories of paintings include miniature paintings and wall paintings. Almost on all the ancient palaces, temples and forts you can find exclusive wall paintings. Lifestyle of the kings and queens is depicted through these art forms. On the other hand, miniature paintings are done on the canvases like cotton cloth, silk and paper. Both these art forms are still popular not only in India but abroad as well.

The evidence of Indian paintings can be found on the caves of Ajanta and Ellora. Popular miniature paintings of the ancient times include Mughal paintings, Madhubani paintings, Marble paintings and Rajasthani paintings are worth mentioning. Apart from this, it is also the style of the paintings that play vital role in the overall appearance of the paintings. For examples some of the famous paintings based on the technique only are Silk paintings, Batik paintings, velvet paintings and many more.Indian Paintings Decorative Paintings Paintings Gallery

Emotional Freedom Technique Using The Heart Chakra Posted By: Nick Nikolis

In 1995, Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineering graduate, introduced the world to something called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Since his early teens, Gary was interested in improving personal well-being, and came upon EFT in the early 90s. Now the most practiced of Chakra therapies in the Western world, Gary Craig's original EFT focused on all seven Chakras. Today, however, therapists are discovering that the same results can be achieved using just one, or perhaps two, of the many Chakras.

Chakras
The use of chakras originates in India, traditionally within Hindu and Buddhism. It is believed that chakras are 'force centers' or 'energy points' found at certain surface points on the body. There are seven chakras located along a central channel in the body, correlating with the central nervous system and the points along the spinal column where clusters of nerves combine. To understand EFT, it is perhaps pertinent to understand what the seven chakras are:

The Crown Chakra - located at the top of the head, this is the chakra associated with pure consciousness.Emotional Freedom Technique Heart Chakra Chakras eft

But in between all of these, Latin America has impressed the world with its rich cultures and traditions that remained alive amidst the shaking.

What's behind the Latin American Culture?

The ethnical values and practices of Latin America, both formal and informal, didn't originate from just one root. Most, if not completely, of its civil and religious viewpoints were adopted from other races.

American places that are rich in French, Spanish, and Portuguese influences are part of the Latin American area. Their rich cultural practices and values are a product of foreign influences which includes the European colonial culture, pre-Columbian cultures, and also foreign immigrations within the 19th and 20th centuries.South America Mercosur Latin America Central America Latam latin trade latin Business latin america market latin america business latin american trade

Thean Hou Temple ' Posted By: Pushpitha Wijesinghe

The Thean Hou Temple is one of the most visited sacred places in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The iconic six tiered temple is styled after traditional Chinese temples and features impressive roofs, massive pillars and is decorated by fine, intricate carvings. It is among the biggest Chinese temples in the region, occupying an area of 1.6 acres, and incorporates elements from Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. On the first level of the temple one can find a canteen and several souvenir stalls. The second level features a hall that is used for a variety of different purposes. Offices are housed on the third level. The prayer hall is situated in the fourth level which has three tiers.

Construction on the temple started in 1987, and was sponsored by the Hainanese community which lives in Kuala Lumpur. The temple was officially opened about two years later. Although at the beginning the temple was dedicated to the Goddess Tian Hou (which means 'Heavenly Mother'), two other deities, Goddess of the Waterfront, Shui Wei Sheng Niang and Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin, were installed later on.thean hou temple kuala lumpur serviced apartments
