Appreciating Peru's Wildlife Posted By: Ken Ingraham

When you learn Spanish in Peru, you can't spend all your time in the classroom. The Andes Mountains, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Pacific Ocean are all begging to be explored. By taking trips to these varied regions, you will be able to experience the many faces of Peru, as each region has its own distinct culture, cuisine, scenery, and wildlife.

Luckily, the government protects many of the country's amazing resources. In fact, in 1993, the constitution actually recognized the diverse ecosystem and natural resources. The government has declared that certain areas in the country are special for their natural or historical cultural heritage. There are eight national parks, and eight national reservations in Peru, in addition to a variety of national sanctuaries, national forests, and reserved zones. When an area is designated as a national park, this means that people cannot build on it and all of the plant life is protected.

As far as animals go, Peru also offers amazing diversity. There are over 1800 types of birds, 500 types of mammals and 300 reptile species.learn spanish in peru study spanish in peru spanish school in peru spanish language school in peru

Doing Is Cheaper Than Buying Posted By: Thomas Carroll

"Happiness is found in doing, not merely in possessing." - Napoleon Hill

There is a common misperception that you need to buy things to be happy. The average person is bombarded with about 1,000 sales messages per day. Billboard signs, television commercials, radio commercials, newspaper ads, magazine ads and spam. Most of these messages are trying to convince you that you need something you don't, or to consume something that is actually harmful to you in the guise of some form of fun.

If you make unwise purchases too often you'll end up being in a consumer trap, the person who always buys knew things, rarely or never uses them, discovers that these things aren't what makes him or her happy, so goes right back out and buys more things just to repeat the whole process again and to get into credit card debt. Then you'll have to work even harder to pay the credit bill on the items that you don't even use.

Real happiness is found in doing what you love.spend less money have more fun less is more real happiness do what you love lone wolf adventure

Peru Tours And Brazil Holidays Bring South America Back On The Travel Agenda Posted By: Jacada

Did you know that South America is one of the world's most desirable destinations? Peru tours, Brazil holidays and Argentine adventures - they all offer more opportunities for genuine luxury travel than probably anywhere else in the world. South America as a whole has that unique combination of top end infrastructure (luxury hotels; vineyards; spectacular sites of special scientific interest) and charming local colour: enough sights, smells and sounds to count as a real travelling experience and enough really beautiful and attentive places to stay in to count as a top flight holiday.

If you're interested in mixing travel and holiday in South America, we've a few ideas that might just be up your street. Peru tours, for example. One of the most beautiful, spiritual and inspiring countries in the world, Peru is home to the legendary Machu Picchu, the ruined mountain city of the "cloud people" - some of whom still live in the jungles around it. Culture and history continues throughout Peru: the Inca Trail, the Sacred Valley and the Nazca Plains (with their inexplicable Lines, thought by many to be proof of extra terrestrial life).

How about Brazil holidays?Peru Tours Brazil holidays.

The Wonders Of Arequipa Posted By: Archie Blazer

Arequipa is a very prominent city in Peru and is right after the capital city Lima in terms of size and importance. The city has a very long history as it was established back in the 16th century by Garci Manuel de Carbajal, a man sent to the region by the conquistador Francisco Pizzaro.

The city is impressive through due to its looks and its location. Erected on volcanic grounds in the heart of the Andes Mountains, Arequipa is also referred to as Ciudad Blanca, or White City. The rock on which the city stands has a white shimmering glow in the morning light, which inspired the inhabitants and people moving to the location to give it this alternate name. One of the first things you will notice when you travel to Arequipa is the fresh air of the mountains which is not something you can usually enjoy in large metropolitan areas.

Because of its location, the most important attraction in Arequipa is the nearby volcanoes. They are called El Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu, and their heights are stunning if you want to trek across them.Vacation Travel

Know Two Available Options To Send Money To Peru Posted By: Peter Frampton

Before you even think about sending money, you should learn about the currency and exchange rate of this nation. You might find it interesting that Peru's currency is called the nuevo sol, and it is broken down into 100 centimos. Currently, $1 USD equals about 3 nuevo sol, though the rate changes often. One detail to know is that retailers in this country often accept U.S. dollars, though it is still advised that residents always have some of the local currency, which everyone accepts. Be aware that almost no one in Peru accepts currencies other than their own and American dollars, so residents and visitors alike must have one or the other.

Many people choose to use banks to send funds just because they are familiar with this option. However, just because it is simple in most cases does not mean it is the best method. Even options that you think might save you money are often not cheap. For example, if you and your relative both bank with HSBC, it will cost you $30 to send money to their account at HSBC Peru.send money online money transfer online prepaid debit card

Discover Whether Cards Are Useful In This Area Before You Transfer Money To Peru Posted By: Peter Frampton

Clearly, sending a check or attempting to make a transfer to their bank account is not helpful if they do not have a bank account at all. Fortunately, the prepaid debit card can be used by anyone, but its capabilities depend on the country in which your relative resides. Before you use one to transfer money to Peru, make sure cards can be used in this nation.

Like most other countries, ATMs are abundant in Peru. However, Peru is still mainly a cash-driven economy, which means that you should encourage your relative to get cash out of ATMs when they see them. Cash machines can be located on most city streets, especially in larger areas like Lima, Arequipa, and Trujillo. Most ATMs take either Cirrus or Plus cards, which means that MasterCard and Visa are both typically accepted. Money can be taken out in either US dollars or Peruvian soles, especially since US dollars are usually accepted at stores. However, if your relative decides to use American money, they should expect to receive their change in soles.

Debit cards may be used at some shops in Peru, but cash is still considered the best way to pay for items here.send money online money transfer online prepaid debit card

Peru Vacation Horror Stories And How To Avoid Them Posted By: Gary Sargent

To paraphrase, "It Happens". If you are traveling independently things won't always go according to plan on your Peru vacation and often the best you can hope for is that the disaster happens to someone else. However, you can always reduce your chances of being the unwilling star of an unfolding travel nightmare by learning from other people's experiences or by having a Tour Operator take the strain. If you decide to go DIY here are 4 classics horror stories and advice to help you avoid a similar fate.

Please remember that 99 percent of people never encounter problems but as with any foreign country, forewarned is forearmed!

Horror story number 1. Peru moto-taxis - vehicles from hell

If a force of evil was ever represented through vehicles, it would probably look a lot like a moto-taxi. Many people think that the whole experience is thrilling and funny but for others it may not be. Speeding recklessly through traffic and polluting the air as much as four to five real cars, there is very little reason for their existence. To add to the fun, one unlucky traveller fell foul of a scheme where drivers partner up with thieves.vacation horror stories Peru vacation problems Peru scams Peruvian culture Peru vacations Peru tours Peru holidays Peru package vacations

Mario Vargas Llosa - Peru's Nobel Prize Winner Posted By: Gary Sargent

Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa has long been regarded as one of the most acclaimed writers, playwrights, essayists and literary critics in Latin America. Recently this reputation was confirmed by the prestigious 2010 Nobel Prize for Literature. This makes him one of two Latin Americans to have won the prize, alongside Colombian Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Born in Arequipa, Peru, Vargas Llosa stays true to his roots. Most of his novels take place in Peru and follow the traditional Peruvian fiction regarding social protest that exposes political corruption, violence and racial prejudices. Despite dealing with such passionate and personal topics, he is known for maintaining a lack of preaching or having to reconcile ideological propaganda with artistic aims.

After being born in Arequipa, Peru in 1936, Vargas Llosa moved to Bolivia after his parents separated, with his mother and maternal grandparents. The family returned to live in northern Peru in 1946 and then moved to Lima, Peru. He first attended military school and then studied literature and law in Lima, and afterwards Spain.Mario Vargas Llosa Nobel Prize Peruvian writers Peru tours Peru vacations Peru holidays Peru travel Peru vacation packages
