Insider Secrets Of Preventing And Reversing Heart Disease Posted By: Gladys Alvarez

If you are reading this, it is possible that you or someone you know or love may need help for their heart! Here's to a healthy heart!

EAT FISH TWICE A WEEK

Heart disease is quite uncommon among people who eat lots of fish. Certain unsaturated fatty acids unique to fish are thought to be responsible for this protective effect. Eat at least four ounces of fish a week. Best: Rich, oily species like bluefish, mackerel, tuna and Salmon, but before you ingest whatever kind of fish you choose, you would be wise to make sure that fish is not contaminated with any chemicals. Whether you realize it or not, our environment has been compromised over and over. What about fish-oil supplements? There's little evidence that they're beneficial.

ALCOHOL AND ASPIRIN

Study after study has proven that an occasional drink raises levels of HDL cholesterol (that is your "good cholesterol"). Men whose HDL is below 30 should consider having one or two drinks daily (one if you're a woman). One drink equals a glass of wine, a shot of distilled spirits or 12 ounces of beer.heart disease reversing heart disease weak heart disease heart disease cad coronary heart disease antioxidants for heart aspirins vitamins B6 B12

How To Beat Hypothyroidism And Diabetes Posted By: Dr. Marc Ott

If you suffer from Hypothyroidism, an underactive thyroid hormone or diabetes, you know how specific these conditions are and also how many various treatments exist in the health care field to treat them. It can be confusing as well as frustrating when combating these conditions with a doctor that doesn't specialize in them. After all, the general practitioner that is listed first on your insurance list also treats colds, sinus infections and other general illnesses too. They are not a specialist in your condition.

The tendency of most doctors after reading your A1C Test and determining that you have diabetes is to put you on some sort of oral medication to treat the symptoms. Likewise is the case when you are diagnosed with thyroid disease. But you, the patient, need to remember that you are the one in charge of your own health care. There are other doctors on your insurance plan that believe in treating the whole person, the disease and not just the symptoms of the problem.

Yes, you can take pills that will help lower your blood sugar to acceptable levels, but that is not going to get rid of the problem for good.health care thyroid disease beat hypothyroidism type 2 di

Blood Pressure, Diabetes And The Metabolic Syndrome Posted By: Dr. A. R. Scopelliti

Every week I manage patients who have recently been examined by their primary doctors and are told that have findings of high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar or both. They are ill advised to return for followup in 8 weeks for a second test. I am not suggesting that it is wrong to followup when you have such findings. It is however foolish to make no management recommendations and expect a different outcome on a subsequent visit.

Frequently on the next visit medication will be prescribed as now there is a trend and not just a single visit finding which may have been just coincidence. It is necessary to show a trend vs. a single visit reading to prescribe drug therapies unless hypertension|high blood pressure is severe. It is reasonable that if someone is found to have high blood pressure, or, blood work reflects an increase in blood glucose, that rather than simply recording such data for record keeping that lifestyle modifications would be immediately discussed and proposed as being not only appropriate but necessary.

Again, it could be argued that simply having an elevation in blood sugar does not mean that you are diabetic.metabolic syndrome high blood pressure hypertension drugs drug therapies

How To Know If You Have Type 2 Diabetes Posted By: Adrianna Noton

Type 2 diabetes is a serious health problem that can be controlled, but often isn't even discovered until it gets to the serious point. Many of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes aren't particularly severe, so the entire disease can go undiagnosed. Early type 2 diabetes treatment can help to avoid many of the more sinister complications from happening at all, but you have to recognize the symptoms and take action. In some cases, type 2 diabetes weight loss may be all that you need to stop the condition and get back to a normal life. If serious weight issues have contributed to the diabetes, you may require a bariatric surgery such as gastric bypass or gastric band surgery to lose weight quickly and get the type 2 diabetes under control. However, before any of that is possible you have to figure out if you have type 2 diabetes.

A type 2 diabetes treatment program may be necessary if you begin to notice symptoms such as increased thirst and urination, increased hunger, blurred vision or fatigue. As type 2 diabetes takes effect, sugar will accumulate in your bloodstream as fluid is pulled out of your body tissues.lap band gastric band surgery weight loss diabetes obesity treatment medical health fitness

What Are The Tests For Diabetes Diagnosis? Posted By: Rinki Rawat

Diagnosing diabetes can be very problematic. Unless, a person has a well known history of diabetes in the family, the signs and symptoms of diabetes are not noticed by people. People can easily mistake these symptoms as stomach virus. This is because, there is a frequent presence of vomiting. As there is a persistence of symptoms, medical attention can be sought. Only then it is discovered that a person is having diabetes.

There are 2 standard tests that are used to diagnose diabetes. The kind of test that is used will depend on the preference of doctor as well as on the situation. Given below are the tests to diagnose diabetes.

1.Fasting blood glucose

In this test, a blood sample will be obtained after a period of fasting at least for 8 hours. This usually means that there is no drink or food consumed after midnight. Usually, a blood sample will be drawn early the next day before the beverages are consumed and the food is eaten. Many a times the results of this test reveal the glucose reading of 126/mg or higher. This is surely an indication of diabetes.tests to diagnose diabetes

Use Self-monitoring Tools To Control Signs Of High Blood Sugar Posted By: Garen Hill

With an advent in technology, researchers are inventing most reliable tools for monitoring the blood glucose levels under safe limits. Many people feel slight difficulty while examining their glucose range as few methods are not just time-consuming and expensive but also sometimes not accurate. Although there are few devices which can be used as better alternative for measuring the sugar levels instead of using a lancet to draw the blood from finger.

New Perspectives on self-examining of Glucose levels
Medical experts are now using different equipments for monitoring blood glucose levels which they also recommend to their patients for a self-check at their homes. This convenient-to-use self-monitoring technology is doing well and is beneficial in terms of both medical and financial perspective to the patients which confirm signs of high blood sugar or low blood sugar.

Measured glucose levels can make aware and permit patients to opt for a suitable dose of insulin to normalize their raised blood sugars. The basic tool for monitoring blood sugar is Glucometer which is small, portable and can be used independently at home or at work.healthy blood sugar levels raised blood sugar low blood sugar levels high blood sugar levels

Exercise For Type 2 Diabetics Posted By: Bobby Castro

Doctors and the medical community recommends that Type 2 diabetics incorporate exercise into their diabetes management regimen. In doing so, the individual diabetic is able to protect against major complications such as heart disease and arterial conditions.

The question though is what type is best for diabetes management. There are many kinds of exercises, such as cardio training, weight training, simple walking or any combination that are available to the diabetic. This question has been answered in a research conducted at the University of Calgary.

The study was conducted through the evaluation of 251 adults between the ages of 39 to 70. These individuals were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and did not engage in regular exercise. There were four main groups in the study, which were as follows:

a)One group did aerobic (cardio) exercise for 45 minutes, three times a week;
b)One group did resistance (weights) exercises for 45 minutes, three times a week;
c)One group did both cardio and weights exercises for 45 minutes each group, three times a week;
d)One group did not exercise during the study;diabetes Type 2 exercise hypoglycemia

Why Diabetes Puts You At Higher Risk Of Stroke Posted By: Jonathan Berns, DC

Diabetes happens when your body can't process the levels of glucose your blood needs. Your body turns sugars and carbohydrates into glucose for energy. People with Type I diabetes can't process the glucose at all because their body doesn't produce enough of the insulin to deal with it. Type II diabetes happens when your body still produces insulin, but it can't process all the glucose.

When your blood sugar counts become too high because your body is incapable of handling it, and continue to stay high then you likely have Type II Diabetes. It can only be diagnosed by a doctor, and there are certain criteria that must be met. That includes more than one fasting blood test with high glucose readings, as well as high A1C numbers. Type I diabetes is generally diagnosed in childhood. Type II diabetes is generally diagnosed later in life, in middle age. However, these days we are noticing that it is being diagnosed earlier and earlier.

Part of any regime for diabetes is to regularly check your blood for its sugar level.type ii diabetes higher risk having diabetes diabetic
