Sigma Digital Lenses Posted By: Feliks

Normal Lenses

A normal lens is light in weight and approximates the perspective of the human eye. Normal lenses generally have large maximum apertures, indicated by small f-numbers such as f/1.4 or f/1.8, and thereby gather much more light than zoom lenses. It may be possible to take a photo with a normal lens in light only 1/8th or 1/16th as bright as would be required for the same photo with a consumer-priced zoom lens. Also, the viewfinder will be brighter and therefore easier to use in dim light, due to the fact that the large maximum aperture stays open for viewing and stops down to whatever aperture you have set just before taking the picture.

The Sigma lenses appropriate for a full-frame sensor or 35mm film camera are denoted with a "DG". The Sigma lenses appropriate for small-frame sensor cameras are denoted with a "DC". You can use DG lenses on crop sensor cameras but you can't use DC lenses on full frame cameras without vignetting.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC
Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM

Most of the world's great photographs were taken with fixed focal length lenses, not zooms.sigma lenses camera digital

Video Transfer Tools For The Do-it-yourselfer Posted By: Jennifer Jarvis

While there are many professional VHS to DVD transfer services available to the public many people, especially those operating on small budgets, look for ways to preserve their old home movies without the high cost sometimes associated with such services. The good news is that there are plenty of tools available on the market that allow the layperson to transfer their VHS movies over DVD and in some cases even Blu-Ray.

While VCR's are almost impossible to find and buy, professionals recommend against utilizing an old VHS cassette player for transfer purposes because old players that haven't been maintained can easily chew and/or snap the tape inside a VHS cassette rendering it unplayable. Instead, professionals recommend that individuals who want to handle transfers themselves purchase specially made VCR's that connect directly to a computer usually via a USB port. Not only are these VHS players new which reduces the likelihood of a chewing or breaking but there also capable of much higher quality playback than are old machines.

Many direct to PC VCR's are sometimes sold with both hardware and software that allows an individual to improve the audio and video quality of their old home movies.orange county vhs to dvd orange county video transfer

Dell Vostro 1015 Posted By: John Wells

The Dell Vostro 1015 is essentially a very affordable bare-bones (2.4 kg) derived as a sub-notebook that does a respectable job at all the usual tasks to keep users connected and prriotize productivity. Dell has made virtues out of the lack of features built into the 'Vostro' by offering numer of ways to customize it to suit customer needs (note that the Vostro lacks either Bluetooth or Wireless N, though).

Connectivity

This laptop offers a variety of ports and slots for connections. A network connector (RJ45) RJ11 and1394 slots, a 5-in-1 card reader, four USB 2.0 ports and a VGA plug-in comes standard; however, there is no HDMI connector. Headphone, microphone, and audio jacks allow connection to a webcam or added speakers as this model carries only one speaker.

Wide Display HD with Anti-glare

Measuring 15.6 inches, the Vostro 1015 screen features Wide Display HD with Anti-glare. At 1366 x 768 pixels, this corresponds with the 'film-friendly' aspect ratio of 16:9 although this is on the low end for notebook graphics capabilities.Dell Vostro 1015 Dell Vostro 1015 price Dell lapotps Dell

Iorgsoft Released Kodak Video To Ipad2 Converter Posted By: mable

I suppose friends were highly impressed by iPad 2 which was released on 2, March, 2011 (American Time), the new iPad2 is expected by Apple watchers to debut in the next couple of months at a similar price range as the current iPad and is 33 percent thinner than its predecessor, at a mind-melting 8.8mm, and a little lighter at just over 600g, while paintjob options have been expanded: you'll get a choice between white and black.

iPad2 features a 1GHz dual-core A5 chip and, finally, cameras, both on the front and rear. The new CPU is said to be up to twice as fast, with graphics performance up to nine times better than on the original iPad, while power requirements have been kept the same.
Should You Do Film Transfer To Dvd? Posted By: Rudy Silva

If you have a video or still shots, you might want to consider film transfer to DVD. The process helps you preserve memories of several decades. With the film transfer, your files are saved from inevitable wear and deterioration.

Some of the films you can convert to DVD format are 8mm, 16mm, super 8, AVI file on your hard drive, and mini DV or Digital Video Cassette.

The 8mm film format is a motion picture film, wherein, the film strip is 8 millimeters wide. The 8mm comes in two versions: the original standard and super 8. The original standard is known as 8mm and has smaller image area than super 8.

The regular 8mm is the film format used since 1930s. Until today, some of these films still exist because the owner may have been very careful. However, these films may not last for a lifetime. Making the necessary arrangement to proceed with film transfer to DVD may preserve your precious film collections, some of them may be your own creations.

Super 8 mm has a larger image area due to its smaller perforations. It comes in two varieties as well. These are the single 8mm and straight 8.Film transfer to DVD DVD film transfer DVD transfer film

Video Camera Filming - How To Avoid Common Camcorder Gaffes Posted By: Jennica Musselman

Constant zooming, whiplash panning, and earthquake filming are only three of the common habits of the untrained videographer. Fortunately, it's easy to jump from raw newbie to knowledgeable amateur simply by learning what not to do. Are you guilty of the following camcorder sins?

Snapshooting

Some novice videographers forget they are using a video camcorder rather than a still camera, and wind up engaging in "snapshooting." Snapshooting means recording scenes that are too short: a snapshot, in other words. But while a photo can be looked at indefinitely, that same image in a video needs to last long enough for a viewer to absorb it.

To avoid snapshooting, hold a shot for at least 10 seconds after pressing the record button. For example, if you're shooting a still subject--such as the Washington Monument--just press record and count to 10 before stopping the camera.

Along the same lines, try to video tape more footage that you need. Start recording at least five seconds before the action starts. Wait to push the record button again until five seconds after the action ends. It's always better to shoot more video than not enough!video camera video camcorder transfer to DVD videographer

Bringing The Cinema Home Posted By: Sharon Cooper

home cinema systems are more than a simple TV/video set-up. Instead they are strictly speaking, an attempt at recreating the experience of actually visiting a cinema theatre, providing enhanced audio and visual quality in a domestic environment.

Of course not all aspects of the cinema-going experience are that desirable. Only the most obsessive and dedicated amateur cinema manager would recreate cramped seats, sticky floors and groups of strangers talking too loudly. Home cinema is simply an attempt at creating the same kind of immersive, powerful experience of a 20 foot cinema screen with surround sound speakers in a much more convenient, comfortable and familiar environment.

Today, home cinema systems are fairly common. The huge growth in popularity - and the dramatic drop in price - of hi-fi sound systems, surround sound speakers and widescreen televisions has helped transform the living room TV into something capable of delivering a rough approximation of the original experience. Coupled with the availability of high quality recording media such as DVD's or Blu-Ray disc's, the home cinema has arguably never been more popular.

Still most of these set-ups pale in comparison to the high quality efforts made by the most enthusiastic advocates of home-cinema.hifi mp3 player dvd denon pioneer sony yamaha.

Affordable Quality Video Recording With A Digital8 Camcorder Posted By: Donald McGuire

There are times that we need more than pictures to record the special moments in our lives. Camcorders are expensive, if you do not know what to buy. A Digital8 camcorder can record professional quality videos, but it does not include a hefty price tag.Digital8 camcorders are often compared to MiniDV cameras because both of them are cassette type devices. They may work alike, but the quality of Digital8 film is way better compared miniDV. The sound is crispier and the video is a lot clearer. Digital8 does not muffle the sound because it uses movie industry grade data tracks. The tapes might be interchangeable, but the format and end result will be as clear as day. You will notice the difference in both audio and video quality.Digital8 camcorders were specifically designed for broadcasting purposes. As the years go by, the price has dropped considerably. Digital8 started to attract the consumer market and it started the whole video quality market. The latest digital camcorders will set you back more a thousand bucks. Spending that much for a device we do not even use every month is a bit absurd.digital8 camcorder digital 8 camcorder camcorder camcorders

Slide Scanning Services - Preserve Photos And More The Smart Way ! Posted By: Jimmy Dawkins

The memories you have in photos, slides, negatives, home movies, and videos that you have from years gone by , could be lost if you don't preserve them right . Using slide scanning services you can have all these things digitized so they can be easily preserved virtually forever , or at least as long as we're using DVDs and CDs . Take a minute and think about it, do you want those memories to fade because paper or film deteriorates ? You are probably answering "No" right now . Let's take a look at what slide scanning is able to do for you.

Slides can be digitally converted to either CD or a DVD format . Remember how delicate slides can be. This is a great way to save them just in case damage occurs to the originals. You'll also be able to view the slides easily on a computer. Depending on the plan you go with, different adjustments can be made .

35mm negatives are so fragile . It only takes one tear or mark and no more pictures ever from those negatives . Negatives can be put onto CDs and DVDs digitally too . The negatives are actually turn into positive images that are digital .slides to digital slides to dvd slide scanning service
