Beginning in 1934, the Augusta national golf club has been the location of the prestigious Masters Tournament. The course is located in Augusta Georgia and is one of the most well known courses in the world and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The course is located on land that used to be a tree nursery.

Beautiful Golf Course

The Augusta national golf club is filled with beautiful trees, flowers, as well as shrubs and every hole on the beautiful course has the name of a tree or a shrub that is located on the hole. In the earlier days it stood out from the rest of the golf courses due to the small number of bunkers it contained when compared to other golf courses and the width of the fairways on the course were differen ... Golf, Health, leisure, recreation, sport

The return of Tiger Woods after eight months out with a knee injury will overshadow the first professional appearances in the United States of Rory McIlroy and Alvaro Quiros at this week"s Accenture Match Play in Arizona.

In recent weeks Northern Ireland"s McIlroy and Spain"s Quiros have made their mark with Quiros winning the Commercialbank Qatar Masters and McIlroy becoming only the sixth teenager to win a European Tour event when he took the Dubai Desert Classic title.

They will now take their places in an elite 64-strong field playing for a prize fund of US $8.5 million at the Ritz-Carlton club in Dove Mountain in what will be their first taste of professional golf in America.

Ross Fisher will be aiming to become the first player since English compatriot Lee Westwood nine years ago to successfully defend The European Open title when the tournament returns to The London Golf Club in Kent from May 28 to -31.

Fisher held off the challenge of Sergio Garcia and Graeme McDowell at the Ash venue last year and completed an emphatic seven stroke victory, despite contemplating withdrawing from the event at the beginning of the week due to fatigue.

Fisher, who uses aTitleist 905R driver, Titleist 659MB irons and Titleist Pro V1x balls, is keen to repay the loyal home galleries with a strong defence of his crown.

Danny Lee Is Youngest Ever Winner Posted By: Sarfaraz Khan

New Zealand amateur Danny Lee became the youngest-ever winner of a European Tour tournament when he secured a one stroke victory in the Johnnie Walker Classic at the Vines Golf and Country Club in Perth, Australia.

Stewart Cink Described The Victory As Surreal Posted By: Sarfaraz Khan

Stewart Cink won the 138th Open last week and he has described the victory as "surreal". He beat off tough competition against golfing legend Tom Watson.

Cink won by a massive six shots against Watson in the play off after the two had both finished at two under par.
"It's been a surreal experience," said Cink. "Playing against Tom Watson, this stuff just does not happen.

"I grew up watching him - he has turned back the clock and I feel so happy just being part of it."

Cink has not had the best of records at Open championships as he has only ever had one top 10 finish. Also he has only had five PGA Tour victories to his name since turning pro in 1995

"I stand here a little intimidated by this piece of hardware I have in my hand," admi ... golf clubs, golf bags, golf equipment, golf shoes, ladies

Accenture Match Play Bracing For Europeans Posted By: Sarfaraz Khan

The Accenture Match Play tournament is bracing itself for a European invasion this week.

There will be 47 players from the European Tour in action at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove in Arizona from February 25 to March 1 including Sweden"s Henrik Stenson who won the competition two years ago.

Stenson, who uses a Callaway FT-3 driver, beat Geoff Ogilvy of Australia by 2 and 1 in a thrilling 2007 final at The Gallery Golf Clubs.

Last year Stenson almost notched a second successive victory when he moved to the semi-final stage before being beaten on the last green by Tiger Woods, who went on to win his third Accenture title.

Woods will make his first competitive appearance in eight months this week following his recovery from reconstr ... golfclubs, golfequipment, golfsets, golf, sets, equipment, gear

Investing In A Miniature Golf Course Posted By: Bob Horwath

Putting at a miniature golf course has evolved greatly from simply putting the ball into a hole. A mini golf course is all about strategic location, interesting and challenging putting holes and creating an attractive scenic environment for people to play in. If you have the luxury of choosing where you can build your miniature golf course choose a setting which is nearby a shopping mall, a village center, a grocery store, a school, a movie theater, or a hotel. The idea is that miniature golf can be played and enjoyed any time of the day. There is no specific time limit to go and play. It is the perfect stress relieving activity for people to occupy themselves with between running their errands.

All successful miniature golf course desig ... mini golf course, mini golf design, miniature golf courses

The Golf Psychology Of Thinking Less And Playing Better Unconscious Golf Posted By: The Golf Hypnotist

I've been thinking about the application of golf psychology to the issue of the swing thought. In other words, what do you and should you be thinking about when you actually swing the club. It seems that every time I watch someone play they seem to be taking an inordinate amount of time fidgeting with their grip, their stance or their play. The more time they take to get round to swinging the club, the more likely they are to hit a bad shot. One golfer I met recently admitted to almost running between shots so that he has adequate time available to fidget over the ball.

The average golfer is often preoccupied with his current set of - sometimes conflicting - technical swing thoughts, from coaches, books, websites and golf magazines and TV ... Golf Visualisation, Better Golf, Golf Psychology, Karl Morris

Golf Instruction Books ' Posted By: Yammay Camajalan

With so many golf book instructions to buy from the book store, you have the tendency is to buy them all. But wait! That"s expensive! When you look at each book, you could almost see the same thing. It only varies in texture of the book material made, a slight difference in pictures from each book. You get attracted to the pictures and the diagrams, and formulas and you feel you can be a better player when you follow all of it. Each one is born unique. There is a book out there that will fit your needs and may answer to your problem.

There are techniques he sees from the players, and how he wishes he could comment ... golf swing, golf shot, slice, hip position, back shoulder dips

The Right Golf Stuff Posted By: Henry Funk

If you are the sort of person who enjoys their time on the fairway then you will know it is not always easy to find golf clothes in high street stores. Because it is quite a specialised area it can actually be very difficult to find the items you are after.

Having a look around town for golf equipment is not so bad if it is just a new set of clubs that you want; you can even find these in catalogue shops. But if you are looking for properly designed kit to wear on the course then it can be a whole different matter.

This is where the internet can be such a useful thing to have. In years gone by it must have been an absolute nightmare trying to locate certain items. You would have spent an awful lot of time and money ringing around a se ...

Beginner Golf Clubs Posted By: Glenn Ellis

I was in my late twenties when I first started hitting golf balls. This was the days of the Persimmons Drivers and Woods. I still have that first set! Note I said hitting golf balls. That is because I did not start "playing" golf until I could hit the golf balls to the same destination consistently.

I remember it like it was yesterday. There was a school located behind our house. Next to the school was a very large field. I would take a couple dozen golf balls and my Beginner Golf Club Set to the field and I would hit the balls in one direction, then I would try to find all the balls and hit them back to where I started. I did this several times a week for about two months.

Then, and only then, did I feel I was at the point that I would ... beginner golf clubs, beginner golf club set, beginner golf clubs sets, beginner golfer, golf clubs
