Going to Miami on Vacation

Miami is America’s favourite holiday destination and it’s no surprise why. Sun, sand, sea, parties, style and beautiful people are the ingredients used to make this city so attractive. Developed in the 1920s as a winter beach paradise for the rich and famous, Miami is now a vibrant, year round destination and the gateway to Latin America.

Miami is more than just a beach destination. However, this is still the major pull-factor for most people when booking a holiday here. Miami has over 20 miles of beach and the sea is warm and fairly sheltered. The beaches are as much about swimming and sunbathing as they are about being seen. Miami seems to have more than its fair share of good-looking people with bronzed, toned bodies who parade the promenades along the cities beaches.

The most popular beach is South Beach, located on Ocean Drive. It is what most people expect from a Miami beach; jogging paths, beach volley ball and crystal-blue waters. However, this perfect combination does mean it gets rather busy, and locals tend to avoid this during peak-season.

South Beach is also where you will find the best Art Deco architecture in the world. **End Summary** Topics: Miami Vacations Miami Travels Miami Guide
About the Author:
Make sure you check out DialAFlight to secure your Miami flights with us, the award winning Miami flight specialists.

Las Vegas Attractions

If you think about it, the site for the city of Las Vegas seems to be a rather odd choice. It is in the middle of the Mojave Desert in Nevada with no real water source, it’s hot and miles from anywhere, but astonishingly this hasn’t stopped it from being America’s playground and the world’s largest gambling city.

Everything in Las Vegas is built to entertain. It is a fantasy world where you can see the Eiffel Tower, the Egyptian Pyramids and the Empire State building within a 15 minute walk. Although, it is a contrived city where nothing is really real, this doesn’t matter because you come to Las Vegas for one reason to have fun.

When it comes to attractions, the city itself is the biggest. There is something to see everywhere you look and the giant neon signs mean this city never sleeps and is best explored at night. This means your days are free to lounge by the pools in some of the world’s biggest hotels.

If you go to Vegas without stepping foot in a casino you haven’t done the city justice. **End Summary** Topics: Las Vegas Tour Las Vegas Vacations
About the Author:
Visit DialAFlight to secure your seat on our Las Vegas flights and travel in class.

From Broadway theatres to Fifth Avenue shopping, art galleries to museums, parks to bridges and the Empire State building to the Statue of Liberty, everyone can find a side to New York that will satiate their appetite and you need a really big appetite when you’re in the Big Apple.

Many people have preconceived ideas about the city that never sleeps, but it’s a good idea to leave these at immigration. New York has something to offer everyone. Over one and a half million people live on Manhattan Island, an area of under 23 square miles, so this densely populated city is best explored on foot.

A good place to start is to wander along Fifth Avenue where you will almost feel at home because this long street has been centre stage in hundreds of Hollywood movies and TV shows. From the Museum of Modern Art to the Rockafella centre, you can spend a few days cruising around the sites on this street alone. **End Summary** Topics: New York Vacations New York Tour New York Guide
About the Author:
DialAFlight can help you book your trip to New York.
Chicago is coy about its own greatness. This huge city should by no means be runner up to New York. It has an appeal all of its own and despite its large size it remains friendly and welcoming.

This Midwestern city on the banks of beautiful Lake Michigan is home to blues, skyscrapers and good food. The city’s has also played a starring role in American history from gangsters to railroads and architecture to sport. This colourful history and diverse ethnic mix make Chicago one of America’s greatest cities.

Chicago’s skyline is the tallest in the world with three out of five of America’s tallest skyscrapers. The most famous is the Sears Tower which is one of the tallest in the world at 1451 ft. The best place to admire this view is from the other side of Lake Michigan by the Adler Planetarium.

Find Boston City Guide

Boston is America’s historic epicenter. It is renowned for its importance in America’s creation, its educational institutions and its cultural hubbub of museums, galleries and libraries.

The best time of year to visit this attractive New England city is during the autumn when the many trees in the city start to turn various shades of red and gold and the skies are clear and bright.

Boston casually blends old with new. This is apparent in its architecture and its population. There are over 50 colleges and universities in the greater Boston area, meaning that the population is highly-educated, young and outward looking. The most famous of these is Harvard University, founded in 1636, and it is worth visiting for its beautiful ivy-covered buildings and four museums including the Harvard Art Museum and the Museum of Natural History.

Being small and compact means Boston is a city that should be explored on foot. There are two walking routes that are themselves local attractions. Firstly, there is the ‘Freedom Trail’ that charters the city’s part in the revolution and the ‘Black Heritage Trail’ that follows Boston’s role in abolishing slavery. **End Summary** Topics: Boston Guide Boston City Boston Tour
About the Author:
Visit DialAFlight to book your Boston flights , travel with confidence with the award winning Boston flights specialist.

Know More About Atlanta

Capital of the state of Georgia and the ‘New South’, Atlanta is the birth place of the Civil Rights movement. This history forms an integral part of its culture captured accurately in the Atlanta History Centre and the Martin Luther King Jr’s house. However, there is plenty to see and do in this modern metropolis and despite its large size, southern hospitality abounds everywhere.

The Atlanta History Centre is where you will find the Tullie Smith House, relocated from outside the city limits to the beautiful gardens on the museum. This house was one of the few homes that survived the ‘March to the Sea’ where General William Sherman destroyed most of Atlanta back in 1864. You can also see several other historic buildings which give you an insight into slave culture as well as the cotton industry which once dominated the region.

The Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site encompasses his birth home, his church and memorial tomb where he is buried and the exhibits in these buildings give you an insight into the life of this Nobel-prize winning campaigner. **End Summary** Topics: Atlanta City Guide Atlanta Tour Atlanta Vacation
About the Author:
Book your airline ticket to Atlanta Georgia with DialAFlight.
